Boys Silver Ridge™ II Convertible Pant 3.4 5 14 14
Zip off pant-Youth Sizing is WAY WAY TOO SMALL. I bought these for Boy Scouts, and my 2 sons are barely in a size 14. I ordered the size 14, but both couldn't get the waist to close. Sizing is very poor and short in length. NOT TRUE SIZING to all other youth sizing. Returned everything. March 22, 2012
Wonderful pants. Actually, I ordered them for myself - a woman- for trip to Galapagos because I knew the fabric would be great and the photo was a far more promising "cut" than I have found anywhere.Alas, "Boys" are too small for grown adult female tho I only weigh 125.I do wish you would make this pants for adults. Wonderful fabric. Loose cut for legs., nice fit at hips.(Normally, women's cuts, bulky at top, fitted at leg, get hot and bind knees for hiking and too bulky at waist,.)I need long pants for the sunblock aspect, but need to wear them for conditions most would choose shorts. Let me know if I have persuaded you to make these great pants available for larger people. January 24, 2012
Perfect for tall/slim Finding pants to fit my very tall, very slim ten year old is tough. So, when I saw the post about some people finding the waist too small, I thought they might be a perfect fit, and they were. These are great for tall boys with a small waist. January 15, 2012
Sizing way too small My son is 10 y.o., 4'11", and weighs 79 lbs. He is very thin and could hardly get the pants buttoned because they were so tight in the waist. I have never bought him a size 12 pant in the past, but did so with these per the sizing chart. The length was good, but the waist is way too small. Funny thing is they have a waist adjuster to make them tighter! These are definitely going back! Unless your child is 5' and toothpick skinny these will not work. August 19, 2011

Sizing is Way Off Bout these for my son who is 10 years old and average sized. He fits most brands with no problems - Gap, Old Navy, Target, Polo, etc. These pants are way off in their sizing. The length is good, but the waist is way too small. And the ironic part is they have the elastic bands to tighten the waist. I bought him a size 12, which runs slightly big on him in the brands mentioned. These were more like an 8-10 in the waist. I can't imagine ever needing to use the elastic cinch. I would say these are irregular. Also tried size 14 and the waist fits but now they are way too long! July 14, 2011
These are a strange fit These are well made and great fabric, but the sizing is terrible. My son is 13 years old, 5'5" and very lean. He normally wears a 14. I ordered a 14 and 16. Both were too small in the waist and the 16s were too long for him. Wish they were sized like other pants. Sending both back. May 26, 2011

My oldest son just barely turned 12 last month and is pretty average sized height and weight, but the size 14 pants are still just a bit too small for him. They are very lightweight and comfortable. Sizing Before I purchased I read the reviews regarding the sizes running small. My son is very skinny and usually I buy size 12 pants for the length but need to get the adjustable waist in order to fit him well. These are the first pair of pants I have found that fit him perfectly. They are a great fit for a skinny size 12! I love them! He has yet to wear them out, has only tried them on. Always in Shorts My 11 year old loves to be in shorts. Now that he's in scouting, we thought convertible pants would be the solution to a comfortable hike and changing Colorado weather. Although I thought I ordered a size big enough, these pants had no room for growth, even with the adjustable waist. We will return or exchange. February 8, 2011
Worth ordering We ordered these pants for our son who just became a boy scout. This type pant in the scout store was $10.00 more so we thought we'd try Columbia. The fit was perfect. Worth waiting for delivery. March 28, 2010
