Deceiving photo I purchased this coat for my 11 yr old son who does not like to wear the bulky jacket to school, so I thought this would be a good coat for running in and out of school or the store. When I looked at the coat on line, the picture they showed looked as if there was a double collar on the hood, there is not. Also it is much thinner than I thought, but time will tell if the 100% fleece stands up to its name and keeps him warm. January 24, 2012
Please consider using Polartec fleece My son hasn't worn this jacket yet because while his old LL Bean size 10/12 is almost too small, this jacket in size 14/16 is a bit big, so we'll wait for him to grow into it. It seems nicely made and the hood fits well, but I can't fully review it until he wears it. My one wish right out of the bag, though, is that it was made with Polartec fleece; the fleece it's made with feels thinner and more polyester-ish. I know it would be more expensive with Polartec, but it's hands down the best fleece on the market and I'd be willing to pay extra for it. October 3, 2011
