This shoe is flexible, light and well-supported - perfect for hiking but low-profile enough to sport them on the playground or in the neighborhood park. The breathable mesh upper helps little feet stay cool when they’re on the move and a gusseted tongue keeps out unwanted debris so you won’t have to make unnecessary stops to clear out painful rocks and sticks. Ample padding protects and cushions their feet while a rugged non-marking outsole with a trail-specific design provides stability over uneven surfaces.

My 7 year old thinks these shoes are "awesome" He says these are his best Columbia shoes yet. As lightweight hikers they have performed well - good traction, light and breathable, decent heel stability while retaining forefoot flexibility. They even dried quickly after he stepped in the edge of a creek. And he says they are comfortable too. Because they look more like athletic shoes than hikers, he's happy to wear them to school too. I am almost certain we'll be buying the next size up to be ready as he grows. April 11, 2012

Great shoe from a great brand! I bought this for my 3 year old son. He plays hard and tends to wear shoes out quickly. I bought hima pair of Sketchers light up shoes and they only last four months! We've only had this shoe for a month but they still look brand new and he still seems to like them. They cost the same amount as the Sketchers we bought but the quality is so much better! I will ONLY by Columbia shoes from now on! I even bought my 18 month old 2 pair! March 28, 2011
