I really appreciatte when big companies as yours really try to minimize the environmental impact. I love the idea of using something more than once. In Bolivia - South America were I come from, we usually work things out up until they are completely worn out. Please help us keep our nature improving the awarness of people towards the forest. Also I think you can help more by sponsoring forest like Madidi park in Bolivia. Not so many people have knowledge of parks and wildlife preserves outside the US.

greenwashing. when are you becoming a B Corp? When will you be carbon neutral? When will you be water neutral? When will you use all FSC-certified content? When will all of your materials be sustainably produced or of 100% recycled content?

My question is consumers have to send back the box, right? So this extra trip will still impact the earth.

Publius: All of the goals you point are excellent standards--though 100% recycled content for an outerwear company may be long way off--and we respect your desire to see us, and other companies, work towards them. We don't claim to be perfect--far from it--but we do think that the A Box Life program makes a step in the right direction towards reducing the impact of packaging materials. We're working on improving the environmental impact of our systems, and we feel strongly that all steps in this direction are positive. We hope you agree, and that you'll keep paying attention to our efforts. Tracy: The A Box Life program works for reusing a box from us (or anywhere) regardless of where you ship it. So, if you needed to return an order to us, that would be one way to reuse the box, but you could also use it for something else you needed to ship. The program does not (and does not claim to) reduce the actual impact of shipping a product, but it does seek to reduce the amount of new packaging produced by keeping boxes in use longer. Hope that helps clarify!

This is a great idea! How do companies go about getting BoxLife labels? It would be cool if my company's shipping department had these to make available to employees who ship their packages through the company post office!
