too small but otherwise good I ordered this for my almost-8-year-old daughter. It is a great fleece for mid-range weather (40-50 degrees). However, I have to send it back. I have found that the sizing does not work right now - the 7/8 is too small and the 10/12 is much too big. I wish the sizing for girls had more options like the boys' fleeces. April 1, 2013

girls coat I had one of the best costomer service experiences when purchasing this product. We enjoy Columbia products. This product did run a bit small, but My daughter really likes it. warm and perfect for grandaughter my grandaughter was looking for a lightweight but warm jacket for school. I chose this one and she was thrilled with the color, weight and warmth of the fleece. It was important that she have something that would keep her warm but not so bulky that she couldnt put it in her backpack when not in use. I am very pleased with this jacket. December 15, 2012

perfect light winter jacket Every year we end up getting this Columbia fleece for our now 5 daughter. The weather never gets too cold here in NC and we find that everything else is too hot, too cold, too dressy or too trashy. This is cozy, attractive and much loved. November 17, 2012
Right on I love this jacket because of the hood. It keeps you a little warmer, adds a nice fashionable touch, and is convenient when it snows/rains. It's very comparable to Columbia's other fleece jackets (the ones without the hoods). This jacket was exactly as I expected, and I would recommend it to anyone. November 13, 2012

An Outdoor Family on Weekends We have been purchasing fleece jackets, winter coats and accessories from Columbia for our whole family for years.The girl's Benton is warm enough for fall weather yet light in weight to not slow down my daughter from playing. The sizing fits well. We purchased a size larger as she will grow into it, but the length still could be about an inch longer ( she is tall for her age and this is a size up from her present size). Excellent Purchase!!! My daughter absolutely loves her new Columbia jacket (and her mother does as well). She's a size 6/6x but I purposely bought it a size up (size 7/8) so it's a little loose but it's PERFECT. It's very soft and I love that it has a hood. The color is a little more vibrant than it shows on my computer. I LOVE Columbia gear and own a few jackets myself. They are so warm and so is this one. The purchase was smooth and the jacket shipped very quickly. I would definitely recommend this jacket to anybody looking to purchase it. November 30, 2011

Great jacket! The blue was a little darker than we expected, but we love it anyway! (In fact, I'm thinking I need a matching one!) Great fall and spring jacket. I expect she'll be able to wear it a couple of years (assuming no giant growth spurts) and that makes it worth the price. I own several Columbia items and have always been satisfied.
