HUGE and thin material I usually really like Columbia clothes. I ordered this dress in a small and medium because other reviews said it ran big. It is huge! I'm 5'6" 140 lbs and 36 C. The small was still way too big. Plus, the material was pretty thin. You could see straight through the black. Both sizes will be going back. April 26, 2012

Good Design-Poor Workmanship Love the dress however the seams puckered and the dresses did not hang properly. I ordered 2 for a cruise we are taking and returned both. I read all the reviews and ordered a size smaller and was surprised that more reviewers did not mention the issue with the seams since it is so noticeable at least with both dresses that I received.I loved the style and the comfort and was disappointed that they had to be returned. Way too big! I was excited to receive this dress. I read all of the review and knew the dress ran big, so I ordered a size smaller. When I tried it on it was WAY too big! It also has a tendency to make me look pregnant because of the gathering under the bust. I think this would be a great dress for traveling in the summer, but the fit is not right. The fabric feels nice and light, though! I will have to return it at a Columbia store and see if I can try on a smaller size. March 19, 2012

Too big! Okay, I read the reviews and a lot of people said this product was too big, but I figured, really?! I always wear a small, but everyone was right! Too big! And I really liked the dress, but it was too big and they were out of extra smalls. Wow! Since when do I wear extra small?! I was really bummed by that because I really like the dress! So warning! Bingo! So happy with this dress! I ordered the black in Medium for a perfect fit. I'm 5'6" and 142 lbs (38D). The dress does not cling, but isn't frumpy at all. I think you could wear this with cute flip flops or nice sandals. It is somewhat sporty and the logo is visible on the back. I do show a bit of cleavage. I'd probably wear a cami under this for an event with my kids, but it is not too revealing that I would feel self conscious without one. March 7, 2012
Great dress if you have the proper level of expectation. This dress does run a bit big. For that reason I purchased a Large instead of an XL. I might have been able to even go with a medium but I don't intend to return or exchange it.I'm a curvy girl and this dress most definitely shows off my figure. It does however, remind me I need to work on my arms.Several people have commented on the cut of the top. It is two pieces which cross to form the V shape. I have a very short torso so this V cut deeply enough I will either need to acquire a plunge bra or maybe place a single stitch to ensure things stay covered or attach one of those lacy cleavage covers.The dress material is a summer material, I bought it in both black and melonade and may need to add a slip to the melonade one. I haven't worn it enough to make that decision. March 7, 2012

Super flattering dress for women with a bust I've seen this worn on a couple different body shapes and if you don't have a large bust, it just doesn't work....however if you have womanly curves- it's fantastic. I have now ordered this in 4 different colors. I absolutely love it and this is my favorite dress, and my husband's too. July 12, 2011

runs large! I just got this dress in Mariner, and I love it! Normally I wouldn't even bother writing a review, because if I wrote a review for everything I loved from Columbia, it would take me a year. But I wanted to double the other comments about it running large, I am 5'6" and 120 pounds and wear a small in pretty much everything else, but I definitely needed an XS in this dress. Four inches out of the straps ... and this might fit.It is incredibly low cut. So much so that the slightest movement reveals everything.It is cute as a coverup, but don't wear it alone unless you are comfortable as an exhibitionist (and my bust point is one inch lower than "average" due to a long torso).For the most part, the excess size makes this comfy in the summer ... as long as you aren't looking for a summer dress and are away of the need to wear an additional layer underneath. How to measure
- Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
- Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
- Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
- Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
