My husband loves these pants
My husband gets crabby if he has to wear anything but jeans. He got a pair of these pants in the new Chicago store on Michigan Avenue. He liked them so well that I ordered him two more pairs as a gift. I wish they had more colors. These can be worn for business casual when jeans are not appropriate, but he says they are just as comfortable. And I like the fact they are machine washable and that I don't have to spend the money and time taking them to the dry cleaners or laundry.

A weekend favorite
Very comfortable for working outside in the yard, with ample room for movement, or for all-around casual wear. So comfortable they'll be the first pants you reach for on weekend mornings.

Nice all around pants
Dressy enough to wear to work (at least on Fridays), but still comfortable and usable for travel, and outdoor recreation.

All around comfort
The Lander pant is a great match for all around use. These make for a great work pant with the extra pockets and function. For hiking, the relaxed fit is a plus. Also, the cotton canvas material does well for protecting your legs while bushwacking.
The fit is about right on. They may be slightly bigger in the waist but with a belt they're a perfect fit.
Concerns:
The color tends to fade slightly after just a few washings.
The hem down at the leg openings will be the first area that will show wear. This is typical of most cotton pants.
Overall, nice comfortable and functional pant.

horrible fabric--so bad it split after wearing 1 hour
fabric not only splits at seam -vertical split, but also horizontally --beware
and wear underwear when wearing these pants unless you are trolling.

Fits just right!
Hard to find , I looked allover and found nothing.I've been wearing Columbia pants for about 11 yrs. You just can't beat them! Good wearing long lasting "Just plain good"

Lander
Very comfortable & functional. I own 6 pairs and will buy more when I wear these out. I'm in sales and wear them for work. Still using a dumb phone so the side pocket is perfect.

Sized wrong
I've purchased Lander pants many of times from both local and online retailers with never a problem. This time I purchased two pair directly from Columbia. Both were labeled with the size that I ordered but one pair was at least two sizes too large in the waist (I could fit a full fist between my stomach and the waist band) and the other pair was probably a full size larger in the waist. While I have found these to be a great pant for rock climbing, it's apparent that Columbia's quality control (at least for these) is not what it was previously. Sadly, I will now have to find some other pant for my needs since it is not cost effective to have pay for return shipping for products that are not sized correctly. Consider me very dissatisfied.

Great Pants, but not very durable
I have owned four pairs of Lander Pants. I continue to buy them because they fit well (sizes run a little large), look good, and are very comfortable to wear. Be aware, however, that the fabric is not very durable. I blow through the knees in less than a year and I'm in the office most of the time.

Try them you will love them.
The fit, comfort and quality are excellant. The cell phone pocket adds that extra special function that todays clothes require. I am a big fan of Columbia clothing.

Great Pants!
I bought these to wear as comfortable, semi-casual dress pants at work, but also to wear outside on hikes, and around the house. They're really a great, multi-functional pair of pants. I have a bit of a gut, and weigh right at 220, 6'1. The size 36 fits me just in the way that's not tight, but also doesn't slide down my chicken legs. a 34 would've been too tight I think, so I made a good choice. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase!

Product Failure
Love these pants in terms of style and function BUT, these pants do not last. I have owned 7 pairs of these pants and they all have failed in the same area- the crotch.
I work in the film industry and these pants only usually last 2-3 projects. That's somewhere around 75 - 100 wearings. Light weight and comfortable yes. Durable - no. Unless you're into disposable clothes, don't invest in these.

Best of Many Worlds
These are my new favorite pants. They are nearly as comfortable as good sweatpants, as durable as good jeans, and look like khakis with an attitude. I come home from doing "stuff" and instead changing clothes to relax, I just relax. Great deep pockets, extra pockets, soft, supple material and I love how they did the inseam. Super comfortable. They run a little large, but that's how I like them. Try a pair!

Bang for the Buck
Lander style pants are affordable, durable, and can be worn hiking or sitting around an office. These pants are not too baggy and not too tight. They're very comfortable around the upper inner thigh area, whereas other style of pants are too tight. I recommend these pants to everyone, especially when you get them from Columbia.com and do not have to pay shipping.

NIce Pants
The Lander is a nice looking casual and very comfortable pair of pants right out of the box. Great color selection and I like the security pocket and leg pockets, nice touch. I own three pairs and use them for fishing and just casual around town wear. Thanks Columbia.

Great all over pants
I love these pants. They are a great do anything pants. I have worn them as easily around town as climbing up Mt Bierstadt in the late fall. They have just the right pockets and are very comfortable. I liked the one pair I had so much that I bought two more and they are pretty much the pants I wear all the time now.

My husband loves these pants!
I gave these to my husband for Christmas and he loves them. Comfortable right away, and with enough ease for the day-to-day biking we do to run errands around town.

The most comfortable pants I have ever owned!
I really like the Lander pants. They are extremely comfortable. They are cut a bit large, but that is perfect for me: my waist is 39", and I buy the 38" and they fit great (hint to Columbia: you could be the first in the world to make odd size waists in larger sizes, and you would find a lot of new customers!). I have a lot of trouble finding pants that fit since I am an in-between size, but Columbia pants seems to generally be cut a little big, so now Columbia is pretty much all I wear. I wear my pants to the office (business casual), and they are OK for that, but they do look a little more outdoorsy then business casual. The side cell phone pocket is useful, but the zippered security pocket seems unneccessary unless you are a frequent world traveler or are often in areas frequented by pickpockets. I love the material - its very soft cotton, and kind of like a sideways very fine wale corduroy (rather than the usual vertical corduroy), but I have seen more wear than I expected from washing. I would suggest using a good quality detergent and washing cold/gentle as recommended to increase longevity. All in all, great pants. I'd love to see more colors! Thanks.

Inproperly labeled
I ordered these pants for my son and shipped them directly to him for Christmas. The package arrived in time for Christmas, but the pants were missed labeled on the tags and shipping invoice. Instead of getting 30x34 pants, he received 34x30. This did not make his or my Christmas very merry!

Tough but comfortable
Great product for me. As a construction project manager, I need clothes tough enough for a job site, but stylish enough to look professional for clients. These pants are the answer. And they're comfortable as well.
I simply never lose choosing Columbia products, for myself and as gifts.

Lander Pants Review
I bought two pairs of these pants last year at REI. I took them to India for a 10 day trip and didn't wear any other pants on my trip. After a year, they have held together so well that I bought four more pairs for work. I work in an office, but I often have to go out on the manufacturing floor. The pants are made well enough that they hold up to being out in the shop, but they look nice enough that I can go to corporate meetings and not worry about being to casual. These are great pants!!!

Work Pant
Great fit and looks. If you have a job that requires a lot of sitting, you will like. If your job requires a lot of moving around, you will like. Though my phone has not fallen out, I wish the small pocket on the right thigh had a velcro closure tab, since it carries my Nokia E7.

Great pants
My last pair of Columbia pants (on the inside) read: "My pants can beat up your pants." These pants (on the inside) read: "Wash in a river and drag dry." Fun! I really like the pants. Great casual wear.

Great pant - Runs Large
I ordered two pairs - neither would work as the 32" was way too large. I have the Griphoist and 32" is perfect. What I like about the Lander - look, choice of colors.
What are the cons - sizing is a real problem. The cut is way too roomy. I think an army could live in the seat! :)
The Griphoist fits perfect - but they come in only one color. Why can't these two pants get together to make the perfect pair!? Thus, rather than a 5 star, they get 3.

Great Pant
Love everything about the pant but the waist size. 30" waist is too small and 32" is too big. Help a brother out with 31" waist and it would be 5 stars!

Decent pants
Decent pants but I don't care for the third seam on the pant legs, prefer one seam on each side of the pant leg. Runs a bit big. Good casual wear and comfortable.

Button doesn't stay snapped
I really like the fit and feel of these pants, but I am very disappointed that the button won't stay snapped. Not sure why the button isn't a rivet post like some of Columbia's other pants, but it's bothersome.

Great pants
Very comfortable. Only issue is the length. I normally wear a 29 inseam, these don't come any shorter then a 30. I have to get them altered before I can wear them.

Lander Pant
Having owned different pants by several other companies over the years to include different pants from Columbia, the Lander Pant is by far the most wearable, comfortable and soft pant I have owned! I have worn several R.O.C. pants over the years but they seem to not be as comfortable and for urban wear I always had to run a quick iron over them--really wrinkled after a wash/dry. On the other hand the Lander Pant is good to go right out of the dryer!

Columbia's Best Pant
This is the pair of pants that I wear to work around the yard...to hang out in...to spend weekends in. Offered in waist sizes like 33 and 35 inches...so the pant actually fits. Cut about a 1/2 inch larger in the waist than stated. Easy to wash and dry these pants are nearly perfect. They could drop the outer pocket on the right leg...I've often thought of cutting this patch pocket off. Makes the pant look more like a painter's pant and when I put my cell phone in this pocket it slides out when I sit down in the car.

Poor Quality
These pants are not worth the price you pay for them, I washed them once according to the tag instructions and already had several color spots. The more I washed, the more color spots would show up. They also have not lasted nearly as long as a heavy pair of pants such as these should.

Best Trousers Ever!
These trousers have turned out to be the best for my husband. He works in an area that requires him to be well dressed but it also is a factory. They are so easy to clean if something gets on them and best of all - I don't have to iron them!
In addition, since he isn't thin, a bit husky, these really fit him well.

Great casual pants for any occasion
Bought two pair to check them out and was pleasantly surprised. They might be billed as fishing pants, and they are excellent for that, but if you like Docker type casuals you'll love these even more! I call them casual classy. Soft, combed fabric is very comfortable and the fit is flattering.

Cotton comfort, double sewn seams with a leg gore for extra movement, heavy duty belt loops. Somewhat low-cut. As close to jeans as you can get for work!(Business casual.)

Great versatile pants!! Can comfortably wear them to work, the golf course, hiking (which I do plenty of on the golf course), to just putzing around the house. From now on, I will always have a pair of these in my arsenal. jt
