Excellent Value I have had this bag for about 18 months and I ride about 40-100 miles every week with it. I have been caught in New Orleans rain storms with the bag and trusted it to carry my laptop and cell phone. Eveything does NOT stay completely dry, and in fact a considerable amount of water comes in, but it does well enough to prevent damage to electronics. If I am carrying dry clothes to change into they will have wets spots and some of my notebooks have gotten warped by the water taken on. That is my only complaint and I recognize that it is asking a lot for a bag that stays 100% dry while swinging side to side on my back during a rainstorm.Otherwise the bag seems solidly made and has held up pretty well aside from a few stitches beginning to come loose. It does not offer much in the way of organizational pockets, which I like because it makes it more flexible. There is no laptop sleeve, which is fine because I use a case anyways and a padded sleeve is wasted space when there's no laptop in there. Another important point is that it's rather small. I am able to fit my laptop and a light change of clothes, a u-lock and a small lunch, but shoes would not fit in addition to that. January 15, 2013
Could use more pen/pencil space The bag is great for a day carrier. I use it during summer school and it works great. My only issue is that it could use a little more room for the pen/pencil space, and a wider zip space. June 14, 2012
Great Look, Lacks Stability I absolutely love the look of this messenger bag. It definitely skews to the younger Columbia customer, which I love. The problem is, it's not very sturdy. The material is certainly durable, but if you set the bag down, it tends to "slouch" or even fall over. It could use something extra to give it some additional support. Messenger Bag A good bag for the price. It would be nice to have an optional waist band for biking. It would also be good to have a laptop pouch in the back for a laptop or even papers. August 1, 2011
Good bag at a great price I was concerned it would look to small and man-purse-ish, but the dimensions are actually pretty substantial. Not on the large side. If it was any smaller it wouldn't be as functional as I need it to be. it seems to be fairly flexible. I could use it to carry a couple of books and my portable electronics or I could use it for my laptop with more books and maybe still fit in a light jacket, etc. The green is a little lighter than advertised, so I will be returning it for a different color. We will see how water-proof it is. I'm not expecting the world, but I'm sure the rubber top flap will help. January 12, 2011

big bag exactly as advertised, large enough to carry just about anything and everything in, seems durable and user friendly, when comparing other messenger bags this one is worth the money. December 3, 2010
