Men's Peak 2 Peak™ Jacket 4.5 5 11 11
great jacket Bought this jacket for my son-in-law. He rides his bike in a metropolitan city and meets with clients. He is extremely happy with the fit and functionality of the product. Nice clean lines without that "outdoorsy" look. The slightly longer arms on the jacket are perfect for him. He's been caught in downpours and stayed dry. Lightweight and packable for days when weather is questionable... overall very pleased with purchase. April 1, 2012
Pockets I bought this jacket for Golf in the Oregon rain. My experience with Columbia rain gear, has proven to be some of the better I've seen and tried so far. My only gripe is a minor one. This shell is missing something that I feel I need for my golfing adventures and that's pockets. I understand that water can get in the jacket if the pockets are opened, but I'm willing to take that risk. The fit is roomy through the shoulders yet not bulky around the waist. I'm very happy with my purchase. January 15, 2012
Too Good?? I bought this jacket to replace my several year old (LL Bean branded) Gore Tex XCR shell. Compared to even high end Gore stuff, this jacket's breathability is astounding. I used it for some fall trail running and some backcountry skiing. This jacket is durable, light, breathes almost as well as a regular hoodie, waterproof, and weighs a little less than a pound. The hood fits great, but not with a helmet (then again, helmet compatible hoods never fit that well). I love that the front pockets are welded on, but they could be bigger. All in all, I feel that this jacket sets a new paradigm for technical shells. January 9, 2012
Great Jacket Works great!!! Breathable and Dry. Wish it was packable into itself. October 17, 2011
Love this Jacket!!! It really is waterproof breathable. Kinda spendy but worth it. October 3, 2011
Should be your go-to jacket Lightweight and form-fitting, the Peak 2 Peak hard shell jacket promises completely waterproof, windproof, and ultrabreathable performance. And you know what? This jacket delivers. September 15, 2011
Perfect rain jacket! I was tired of replacing umbrellas so I bought a rain jacket from Nautica. The jacket held up for many years but was bulky and heavy. The Peak 2 Peak Jacket is everything the Nautica jacket was except that it is lightweight and easy to maneuver in. I would highly recommend this jacket for anybody. September 4, 2011
Light is right, and watertight I got the jacket a few months ago and have used it about 20 times in many varied conditions. I have used it in early morning trail runs, mtn biking in the nearby hills and some light mountaineering (more like high-altitude hiking, mildly technical) and it has worked very well in all conditions - dry and hot in the front-range, chilly morning rides and cold and windy up in the mountains. It runs 'snug', so if you plan to add layers for winter use, buy the next size up. Otherwise, if you are very active, snug is probably good and you can layer lightly. I love the lightweight and small package and can be stuffed anywhere. The pockets are smaller than I like but will work. The hood is adequate and fits around a small volume helmet. It breathes surprisingly well and shed water easily. I have not tested how rugged the fabric is but for now, it's holding up well. Light is right. July 19, 2011
Boring; and not enough pockets Boring colors. No contrasting color. Just plain single color. Also, the "Red Hot" is neither red nor hot. It's some kind of brick color (or a muddy red at best). On top of that, just a couple of small pockets. Not nearly enough to get anyone excited about this jacket. May 13, 2011
very practical shell very roomy, worn walking (for exercise) w/ t-shirt under, and not clammy. LONG sleeves. Only reason didn't rate as a 5-star was not yet tried in harsh/hiking conditions May 13, 2011
great jacket We walk everyday rain or shine and live in Olympia, WA, so more rain than shine and more cold this year. Breathes well and the new layer keeps the wind and cool out while still breathing. April 8, 2011
