Great Boot
Just received my Pole Creek boots and the fit and look is perfect, which is not always easy ordering online. Looking forward to trying them out in the field. My hobby is a wildlife photographer so they will get a good test.

Bag for your buck
These are my second pair of Columbia boot. These boot so every thing they say they do. Fit it perfect. Water proofing was a big thing for me. Stood in ankle deep water and stayed dry. I suggest a good boot treatment before wearing. To keep leather in good shape and clean. That's just me. I like an extra back up for keeping them waterproof.

Good support and comfortable
I've had an ankle ligament periodically sore that gets worse from even short walks. These boots provide the kind of support that allows me to walk a few miles without even a twinge! I have narrow feet so I bought the medium width, which is very difficult to find anymore and am delighted to feel my feet snugly held up to the toes, which have plenty of room. The sizes do seem to run small, which others commented on, so I ordered a half size larger than normal, which fits just right.

perfection
I have a very long(size 14)but very narrow foot which makes it almost impossible for me to find shoes outside of some very select series by New Balance. I had given up on finding a hiking boot until I stumbled upon these. These boots fit perfectly, take an incredible amount of rain, keep my feet warm and have great grip. This is a solid shoe and I can say with confidence that they have made me a lifetime Columbia customer.

Does the job, but if you got ski boot feet...
Ok so I love Columbia and have dealt with them for over 25 years, from managing ski shops to ski schools. Most of their footwear is decent. Jackets rock and fleece, well id rather cuddle up in them, then next to my beautiful wife sometimes! Anyway the boots have a snug boxy feel in the toe area, but this could also be from wearing ski and snowboard boots for the past 2 years and having each toe either mangled or just plain ugly looking(toes not boots). Heel cup is great and lacing system is good. Only other recommendation is get a good foot bed, the one included is just foam. They DO take a few days to break in. Anyway thats it! Hope my rant helped. Columbia has always been a good product and best bang for your buck. If you were to buy these similar style boots from other names, you def would pay more for same quality!!!

NICE COLORS/LOOKING SHOES
I liked this shoe when I saw it on the site. I looked at others but kept going back to these shoes. It has not rained in Portland yet this October but I am sure they will keep me dry like my last pair of PAGORA Columbia Sportswear shoes.

Narrow toe box.
Things to deal with:
The only reason why I did not give this 5 stars is because of the narrow toe box. I am still breaking in the boots, so I might end up getting them stretched a little, but I have taken them on several short hikes and 1 3-day trip.
The good stuff:
The boots fit true to length. I am a size solid size 10 and I have to wear a slightly thinner pair of socks, but the length is good. They are also very rugged and VERY water resistant. I have had water over the laces several times with no wet socks. Overall, if you have a foot that is more on the narrower side, I would definitely recommend these.

Comfortable and Waterproof midweight
This midweight boot performed great on an all day trek to the summit of Mt Carrigain in the white mountains, NH. The boots are very light and comfortable and did not cause any blisters after 10miles and 3300ft elevation gain. My feet also stayed dry after the boots went through a few river crossings. These midweight shoes are on the light side and probably best for loads less than 40 pounds. Overall a great waterproof choice for a day hiker/ weekend backpacker

Comfortable and Right Fit
These hiking shoes fit just right, were comfortable, and gave a sense of protection to my feet. These have good grip on the sole, the laces create a tight fit in a positive sense for the shoe. Additionally, the design seems to offer inhibitions to some of the most common forms of wear. The tag on the back for easy access for your foot is much better suited horizontally in this shoe than the common vertical style in most shoes. Also, the metallic state of the upper lace holders is sure to offer long life.
