Awesome Shorts! These shorts are awesome! They keep you cool in the summer, or in my case all year round. I'm a fly fishishing guide, so I get a lot of hiking time. My only complaint is that these shorts fit me a little tighter than expected. I normaly wear a 38" shorts, but my legs are more muscular so they fit a little tight when I sit. Othewise, they are still comfortable. May 17, 2012
Narrow fit I ordered these for my husband and he is a pretty trim person who wears and loves other Columbia clothing in the same size, but these shorts were so narrow that he was not comfortable sitting down in them and I returned them right away. May 15, 2012
great shorts for the heat these shorts are extremely lightweight and shed body heat very well. I wore them on a 3 day backpacking trip and never noticed anything to complain about in terms of function. The belt does seem a little on the cheap side, but a belt is a belt, and you can easily swap it out with one more to your liking. I'm 5'5'', measured my inseam myself, and it fit great. May 15, 2012
good product These are perfect for hot environments. Very comfortable, light weight and dry very quickly. Also have a convenient zippered pocket on the left leg. I'm 5'11'' and the 10" inseam is right at my knees, which I like. They do fit a tad small in my opinion and the pair I have seem to have quite a few loose strings. Overall I would recommend these and probably even buy another pair. May 6, 2012
Great shorts...but not for fjord jumping. The shorts are great and fit well but the rear pockets need a zippered closure if the shorts are really meant for the trail. The open, "blue jean" style rear pockets are useless on the trail and too shallow to securely hold a wallet in a day to day situation. Other than the pockets, I have been impressed and have ordered a second pair. March 3, 2012
