Nice but not great Hoody Nice jacket to have handy to grab and go when there is a chill in the air and your off to walk the dogs or work in the yard. But if there is any wind, goes right through it. Little bit of wind resistance would have had me rate it higher. But pretty toasty other than that. Probably a good warm layer under a shell to block wind and rain. January 22, 2012
Ripped Pocket! I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and just after one week, the corner of the pocket started to tear at the seam. Only a few days after we noticed that one side was torn, the other side started to tear as well. At first, I thought that maybe it was just him, possibly from pulling at the pocket. Then one of my coworkers had the same problem with this item which he had bought as a gift for his son. This was very unfortunate because besides the tears, my boyfriend loved this jacket! A jacket that can moderate my body heat well I kept seeing commercials for Columbia jackets while watching ABC shows though it took me about 10 times to realize they weren't showing an ordinary, uses brute force to keep you warm jacket/coat. This jacket actually has some neat technology in it that uses a portion of your own body heat to keep you warm and it actually ventilates air too. I have been testing it out in my cold office at work and while doing my four mile walks on the weekend and this jacket seems to keep me at just the right level of warmth without it overheating me like every other jacket I have tried. In strong winds it does let some air through, but it only seems to do so temporary to cool you off a little and then it goes back to not letting air through. The main reason I bought this over all of the other Columbia jackets is because it has a hood and that hood works just as well as the rest of the jacket. January 15, 2012

warm and tough, inner hood lining flashy, pockets a little shallow This coat just the right amount of a tough durable texture and look combined with a very comfortable and lightweight feel. The only thing I don't like about it is that the omni heat dots are so shiny and flashy. This is not a problem while the coat is zipped, but if you have the hood down, the shiny dots seem to draw a lot of attention.The front pockets are "hoody" type pockets. This is comfortable and convenient for warming hands, but they may not be deep enough to securely store a large cell phone or other valuables. I would really prefer this jacket to have the standard deep front pockets that are sort of on the side, and then I would have given this coat 5 stars.I am 5'10", 220 lbs, broad shoulders and the XL was too big and long in the arms. This product is awesome This jacket is amazing, it keeps me warmer then most jackets and holds the heat in better then anyother jacket i have worn. It is like wearing a blanket that is water proof and can breath. The only downside to it is some of the stiching is already coming undone even though i just bought it, also wind blows right through it. November 28, 2011

Jacket Its definitely warm but the front pocket ripped by itself within the first week of having it, and I was only using it to walk back and forth between my classes. Other than that though it gets the job done. November 20, 2011
Sharp Jacket Just got this the other day, looks great and is as warm as advertised unfortuntaly i ordered a large, i own other columbia products and a L is usually a lil big..but for some reason this runs a bit small the L fits me but its a close fit, no problem zipping it up but its too snug to layer anything other than a shirt underneath it. Im 5'8 190 lbs and if i did not intend to wear this as a winter jacket i would probably be just fine with the L altough the shoulders are a tiny bit too small. Aside from the sizing issues.. I stood outside last nigt for about 20 minutes only thing underneath was a t shirt outside temp was 30-35 deg w about a 15 mph wind and my upperbody stayed toasty warm, very impressed with how well this performed, only downfall now is having to return it for the XL.
