Warm pants Purchased these for annual Spring Break ski trip. Mystery color is weird blue, but I didn't care about color. I purchased a Large and normally purchase 34/34 pants. I am 6' 1", 200 lbs, and I have an ample butt and hips. Waist runs large as I had to cinch the elastic straps quite a bit. But length was perfect, gators dropped just to my ankles and pants covered gators. Pants were ridiculously warm. I wore only underwear, no thermals or other leggings. We skied in 15 degrees to 45 degrees both windy and sunny conditions. Pants worked well in both. Hands and face got cold but my Columbia pants, socks and jacket kept the rest of me warm. Exceeded my expectations This was a last minute internet purchase, a mere days away from departing on a ski trip I discovered that my old ski gear was no longer going to function - my added holiday girth rendered them inoperable. Sweaters and coats were no problem, but the increased inches on the waistline cried out for a solution. I found these pants on sale and took a chance on a late night internet purchase. Of course any savings I got was eaten up with the rush overnight delivery cost, but they arrived well within time and fit perfectly. The pants performed well, I was warm, dry and comfortable. The only Con (not really), was that the accent color of the product that I ordered was black, the pair of pants that I received had grey accents - which I actually liked better. March 6, 2013
More than warm enough for Iceland I bought these (and another pair for my wife) in preparation for a winter trip to Iceland. They fit great, were comfortable to wear and kept me perfectly warm as we walked around glaciers, waterfalls and geysers. They were even warm as we sat for hours looking for Aurora Borealis. Color-Combo Not Correctly Shown After looking at the color choices I went with 'Mystery' that showed a gray pant with black accents on the belt loops, pocket tabs, and sides of the legs. Upon purchasing and having them delivery the 'Mystery' color pants are actually more of a steel blue color, with lighter steel gray accents. This actual color combo was disappointing and misleading from the website - this is the second time I've had issues with incorrect color representation with Columbia. December 5, 2012
