Men’s Convertible Pant — Tall 3.6 5 8 8
Inconvience My review is not so much about the products as it is about attention to detail. I am 6'6" tall and have difficulty finding clothes that fit properly. I ordered the pants and Large Tall, 36-38 waist and 36" inseam. They were 3X Long when I received them. I could have used them as a sail. The order was not a little off, it was hugely off. I am waiting to see if the proper size is shipped, or if I am properly credited. In addition, it cost me $15.00 to ship them back because of your mistake so I'm in the hole! April 8, 2012

The product is good in theory.... The problem with these pants is that I ordered them for my husband who is tall (6' 5") he wanted the versatility of the pants/shorts combo. But the shorts are NOT suited for tall men, unless you go back to the 1970's where the shorts were very short!! Had to send them back. Did not reorder. March 8, 2012
Missing features for convertible pants I was surprised right off to see that these pants had no zippers on the sides at the bottom of the legs, forcing the removal of shoes to convert the pants to shorts and remove the lower pantlegs. Also, there is no inside zippered security pocket for keys, etc., and there is no left rear pocket. I always use the left rear pocket for my wallet. They are loose fitting, more so than other convertible pants I've owned, and I doubt they would hold up to the rigors of hiking, as the material is very light weight. They look nice, but from the practical standpoint...no bottom of leg zippers, no left rear pocket and not made tough for hiking, these pants are just not for me. July 12, 2011
Try both I bought both the Columbia Silver Ridge and Convertible Pants. Both are of good quality. While I liked the included belt of the Silver Ridge, I liked the pocket arrangement, depth of pockets, and fit better (for me) on the Convertible Pants. I kept the Convertible Pants and am sending the Silver Ridge Pants back. Try both and see which you like better. The Columbia return policy allows this and makes this approach reasonable. Tall/Big Sizes Please I've always loved the quality of Columbia products and these pants did not disappoint.But, like with other Columbia pants, I had a difficult time getting the right size. Basically, Columbia "big" sized pants do not provide a "long rise" and are a bit tight in the wrong places.But, the "tall" pants provided a "long rise" that I really need and a quick trip to the tailor shop produced the right length.Dear Columbia, please offer a long rise in the "big" sizes too. I bet you'll sell a lot more of your wonderful pants. May 17, 2011
