works great! I live in the desert and have tried various long-sleeve, hot weather shirts to help keep the sun off. Inevitably I end up getting hot and pushing the sleaves up. Not with this shirt though!It does take a few times of wearing the shirt on the heat to wrap your head around the fact that it really is cooling you down. Its the same sensation as a summer breeze. Kind of triply at first but amazing in the end.This only gets 4 stars because it fits pretty baggy.Il be buying more. August 24, 2012

Long sleeve Men's Gen 2 - I like more the older version The older version of the omni freeze, the one from like 2 or 3 years ago was a lot better with the heavier fabric. I think it was cooler than this new version with thinner fabric. I still have one and I love it.I would not buy anymore of the new version though. August 13, 2012

Men's Gen 2 Freezer Lomg Sleeve Bought theses long sleeve shirts to ride my Harley from Texas to Sturgis in August. You know its going to be 100 degrees plus on the ride. So far Ive worn these shirts on the lake this summer and they do a very nice job of keeping you cool. They are so thin and light weight that you hardly notice that you're wearing a shirt. told my riding buddies to order quickly. We head out Aug 1st. July 6, 2012
A great summer time shirt. This is one of the best shirts I have purchased this year. I spend a lot of time on the water fishing tournaments and this shirt not only protects me from the sun, but keeps me cool on even the hottest of days. This product has unique and wonderful features This product looks and feels great. The spf 50 rating was my primary reason for purchasing this shirt because I have some skin cancer problems. The shirt feels very cool and comfortable even in warm temperatures. I have purchased three of the shirts already. I sometimes wear a large size, but the medium was a perfect fit. June 26, 2012
The product is as advertisoed I was a little sceptical the shirts ability to keep me kool, being in south Texas with temps in the triple digit left me wondering. The product works perfictly, I am most pleased with the product but wish it wern't so expensive, of a fixed income it does reduce multiple purchases. June 26, 2012
Fixed it When I recieved this shirt, it was the wrong color. Customer service said they had an image error, and stated they would fix the web site. It has since been fixed and Columbia picked up the return shiping, with no hassle. Thanks again. June 13, 2012

Excellent sun protection without overheating I was looking for cool, sun protection while fishing and playing softball. I’ve tried the previous version of this, the Airgill™ long-sleeve knit crew (UPF 50, loose fit), and another manufacturer's (UPF 30+, snug but not compression fit). All three do an excellent job of sun protection and are cooler than any cotton fiber or my usual fishing shirts. But don’t expect to feel like you’re wearing something that provides air conditioning (unless you dunk it in the bottom of the ice cooler and put it back on). I’ve been using them for over a year. I can’t notice any significant cooling advantage to the Airgill design. My net is pick based on style/fit/price. Add a neck/head wrap and sun-protection fingerless gloves and you can dispense with most of your messy sun screen. May 17, 2012

Looks good, feels good Since I bought this shirt in January, I can't say how this shirt does in hot weather. However, I can say that it does keep the sun off. It's a good looking shirt, but they fit large. So if you wear an XL, get a Large. I'm looking forward to trying it out this summer. All the other clothes that I've gotten from Columbia have been great, so I expect this to be great as well. January 30, 2012

Wonderful product This is a great shirt for working in hot climates and in direct sun. I don't know that it's necessarily "cooler to the touch" as Columbia claims, but it definitely feels cooler than even their OmniShade products.I'd echo what others have said about the sizing - they do run large so get a size down from what you usually wear. Works Great in this HEAT... I use this shirt while doing my bike ride. The ride provides enough air flow and the shirt / sweat evaporation do the rest. It works great as a cooling system. I'm in 100F heat and Houston humidity and I'm able to keep cool...enough. If I had to do it over, I'd buy a size smaller to be more snug, that would also help with the evaporation. Omni Freeze The Omni Freeze technolgy in these shirts is outstanding. After wearing this shirt the first day, it made it hard to go back to wearing a regular t shirt. I have sold a bucnch already.
