Mixed Feelings
I love Columbia stuff, but this one is only okay for me. On the plus side, it looks really sharp. The hybrid sweater/jacket aesthetic works and this is a handsome piece, especially with the wooly outer fabric. Well made too, with a fairly sturdy weight & feel that makes this more than a mere sweater. The sizing is spot on, with the XL fit not being too baggy or too slim and sleeves amply long for my long arms.
Unfortunately, this jacket isn't as warm as I'd hoped. Wore it over a long sleeve tee on a damp, overcast day in the low 40s playing with my kids and I was still chilly. It's not very wind resistant, with moderate winds cutting through it a bit. And unfortunately the Omni Heat lining didn't seem to provide noticeable warmth. I expected this to be warmer based on the weight and the Omni Heat claims. And the ugly shiny disco silver lining isn't worth the razzing you'll get if it isn't going to keep you significantly warmer. Lastly, would like to have an extra storage pocket or two but all you get is the two front hand pockets.
All in all I'd buy it again as a casual sweater alternative, but it doesn't make the grade as a colder weather outdoor jacket.

Great Fall Jacket
Excellent jacket overall, I guess I was a little disappointed by the omni-heat. My expectations may have been too high however. I can still comfortably wear this jacket + t-shirt in about 30 degree weather. Won't really work below that. Because its something of a crossover between a jacket and thick sweater i think it has to have a slightly snug fit to work, so can't really layer under it. Not completely windproof but pretty wind-resistant. Fabric does pill a little bit. Could use more pockets. Does breathe but not well enough for any kind of athletic activity, best for wearing around town. Overall very happy with it and would recommend.
5'10", athletic build and the medium fits well.

Nice Jacket
I am a big fan of Columbia clothing. This jacket is a good looking addition to my wardrobe. It is warm. I have two slight dissapointments. First, there is only two pockets (hand warmer). I am used to my Columbia jackets having more. Finally, it fits a little snug. I am a big guy and usually the XL fits fine. The jacket still fits, however it is a little snug with a heavy shirt on too. With the fuzzy wool like texture of this jacket, I would not recommend it for "Outdoor Woods" activities. I would be cautious that the material would snag. I think this jacket will be great to wear to work and out casually.

Warm and stylish, but doesn't break wind.
This coat is very cool looking, very sleek, and very stylish! Plus it fits great! Not to mention this thing is incredibly warm! I love it! Sadly wind goes through it kinda easy. It handles a breeze well, but any more then that you're outta luck. You can't tighten it at the bottom either.
So here's the run-down:
Pros:
-SUPER warm
-The ladies will love you*
- soft material
-not to heavy, but not to light
Cons:
-Wind goes through it
-can't tighten it at the bottom, so expect wind to sneak up this coat.

Men's Grade Max Softshell
I bought this product for my boyfriend for the cold holiday season in northeast Ohio. It was between this jacket and a fleece softshell in regards to the look and what he thought might be warmest. He's had the jacket for about three weeks now and, although I'm not sure what the fleece shoftshell is like, we both love this product! He picked the tar color. The jacket looks high quality, functions as high quaility, and for added warmth and texture it looks great with a fleece hoodie underneath! The photo online doesn't do the jacket justice at all. He's had many compliments. I chose the "fits slightly large'" option because the medium-size jacket fits a little long (down at the hips) on someone who is 5'7". The OmniHeat technology is fun to look at and really does work. He hasn't felt the wind or cold since having this jacket.

Dynamite Coat
This is a great coat for the outdoors. Warm, comfortable and very functional. The reflective interior really works to trap heat in.

Definitely warm, definitely disco
I like this Jacket. It's exactly what I wanted. However, I didn't anticipate how shiny the inside would be. the only thing I would change about the jacket is to make the inside lining not silver (and shiney). I'm not sure if that is necessary for functionality, but if I had seen that in a stored, I might have been dissuaded from buying it.

Sweater? More like BULLETPROOF hard(soft)shell!
MY HAT IS OFF TO THIS GARMENT'S DESIGNERS. This is NOT a soft, fluffy sweater. This feels like a lightweight bulletproof jacket; it is super warm and wind/water/weather IMPERMEABLE. The wool/polyester/nylon mix on the outside is HARD, yet it flexes in every direction for the heighth of comfort. Just for grins I held it under a faucet; the water just flowed right off. The polyester arm and shoulder portions stretch and flex, but are rugged, and waterproof; they feel almost like Kevlar. I feel like I could go to war in this jacket--no joke. This is my first OmniHeat garment--phenomenal. 35F at altitude with just a t-shirt and Silver Ridge shirt--not a problem; warm without sweltering. Soft, fleecy pockets for hands, and high neck is soft and toasty on the inside, impermeable on the outside. 46" chest and 34" waist--XL is PERFECT. Columbia--this one hits it out of the park!
