Solid Hiking Socks The Hiker Lite socks are not quite what I expected. After wearing the Medium weight Hiker's throughout the winter, I expected the Lites to havel ess to them than the Medium weight, but I suppose I expected too much. While still a very solid sock, I really like the padding for the footbed of the Medium weight sock, and have come to rely on it for true comfort, and consequently the lack of this cushioning in the Lite makes for a great summer and hot weather sock, but isn't quite the sock I was looking for in comfort for the long days on the trail.I have no qualms with this sock, as it is what it is, and does it's job well, just not quite as much sock as I was hoping for. These will turn into a great daily wear sock to the office. May 17, 2012

Great light weight socks Wore these while working in Vietnam recently when I found my regular merino wool hiking socks to be too heavy. I also had a similar and pricier pair from a competing outdoor company. I found the Columbia socks to be far superior in fit, form and function. I also like the fact that they make an XL - I wear size 13 and often find other socks to be a bit small. January 7, 2012
Most comfortable socks These are the most comfortable socks I have ever put on. They fit the foot snuggly but not tight even after repeat washing. Boots slip on easily. I have bought the women's for me and the men's for my husband and they are of equal quality. In fact we have bought additional to store since they are so great. January 3, 2012

Sweaty and Frayed The socks fit great and stay up on your calves. My only complaint is that they do not wick away sweat effectively and therefore your feet end up feeling damp in your shoes. The material also frays very easily when constantly rubbing against shoes. Not a bad product, but definitely not worth $15. Price could be lower. I would pay $10. December 12, 2011

Nice socks Good light wicking socks. very comfortable. I actually wear them with dress shoes and slacks, and also with boots and jeans. If you are wanting a lighter-weight sock, then these deserve your serious consideration. November 18, 2011
