Mens gloves Excellent light weight gloves. Very warm and durable March 12, 2013
This product has great features I am wearing these great gloves as I type this review. They fit my hands to a tee and keep them warm too. I can grip my binoculars and pen the same as if with bare hands. All at a reasonable price. March 2, 2013
To small for my XL needs This is not a performance issue, but rather a sizing issue. I should have realized that you can not combine two sizes and expect he larger result. February 10, 2013
Review after a few weeks of use These gloves have their own niche in my outdoor gear collection; good for a very lightweight shell that allows for almost complete dexterity while wearing them. Come common uses are as driving gloves, light workout gloves, light outdoor working gloves (operating video / camera equipment) or any other light duty task which normal heavyweight gloves would be in the way.Pro:- Lightweight- Professional looking enough to be worn in a business environment (all black)- Gusseted to keep in warmed and the cold out- Reflective heat technology seems to only mildly work in this implementation, but still is an improvement over similar gloves of the same thicknessCon:- Grippy “dots” are not applied to the fabric well, they started to come right off after a few hours of use! After the dots or gone the glove is very slippery.- Side seams are not protected from ware; I found they also seemed to get caught in my Columbia jacket coat pockets on the velcro tabs.- There are several very long, annoying, tags that necessitate being cut out from the inside of the gloves.Other: Needs OmniDry technology put in them, they suck up water quickly. Don’t put on if your hands are already cold or they gloves are cold. Suggest using them when contact with objects isn’t required to prevent major wear of the materials. I will be contacting Columbia to suggest fixes to this product, but I like the gloves enough that I may just keep them instead of requesting a replacement. January 13, 2013
thin, lightweight and WARM! I bought these gloves for my husband. He has a Columbia jacket with the thermal reflective technology and loves how lightweight the jacket is while at the same time keeping him so warm. So I looked on Columbia's website, and found these gloves with the same technology. They are very thin and can be used as a liner inside ski gloves if needed, but also very warm just on their own.My husband has long fingers, so I was worried about the fit, but it was perfect given the gloves have a bit of stretch to them. Nice, but not warm. Pros:-Nice material.-Nice fit around each finger and thumb.-Functions well as a liner.-Reflective logo looks cool.Cons:-Runs small. I normally wear large - XL fits snug.-Cuff needs to be stretched a lot in order to slide my hand in.-These gloves do not keep my hands warm at anything under 50 degrees F. Like wearing a thin sock over your hands!!-Not windproof at all.-Omni-heat is non-functional in this glove - same warmth from $5 Walmart gloves. January 3, 2013
Great cross country ski gloves These gloves are fabulous for cross country skiing once you have warmed up. They have gripper dots on the palm side for better contact with poles. They breathe and they are very nice looking. Other people have complained that they are not warm enough, but that is not the function they were meant for. These gloves are great when you are exercising. December 30, 2012
look and feel thin this is going to be a christmas gift for my boyfriend who works outside. The are thin gloves and say water proof only time will tell and hope they keep his hands warm. They are made nicely and look really nice December 14, 2012
Great product for mild cold I ordered this product for use in the car and too and from buildings. I travel, so these are light weight enough to stuff in my bag or back pack. The fit is spot on, with the construction of the gloves to be superb. These glove probably do well above the freezing mark, but perform well enough when the weather turned 18 yesterday.Light weight, great fit, good looking gloves for fall or short trips outside in sub freezing weather. expecting better I wore these while cycling the other day, with bike gloves on underneath. The temperature was in the 40's and fingers were cold, not sure what I will do when I want to ride and the weather will be less acomodating. November 8, 2012
Disappointed I was intrigued by the technology of these gloves concerning their "thermal reflective" capability. When they arrived, I saw they were similar in design and fit of my isotoner gloves but those gloves never kept my hands warm at temps below 50 degrees.I used the new gloves today during a 45 min walk in 43 degree temps. After being out for about 20 minutes, it was easy to tell the benefit of the "thermal reflective technology" exists only in the mind of the developer as these gloves provide no more warmth than than my old ineffective isotoner gloves.I recommend these gloves only be worn in a warm room. Not Bad stylish but not function November 3, 2012
Good for mild weather or as a liner I bought these to wear while running. They fit the bill fairly well. I haven't bought into the hype of the silver dots doing anything more than making my hands sparkle. The grip and dexterity was great. April 8, 2012
Very good running gloves or liner gloves These are very comfortable gloves for vigorous activity or as a liner. I would not say they are meant to be the only glove to wear when it is fairly cold, say below 40 degrees, as they are not very thick. Unless your are being active I would wear another glove on top of these. That being said they are super gloves as a liner or if you need to go outside and do a few things and don't want a big bulky glove. January 30, 2012
Very small and not very warming Don't put these on when your hands are cold - they are cold to the touch and only warm up after very vigorous activity, but initially they make you feel colder. Might be better if you put them on BEFORE you go outside. Disappointing (I generally love Columbia stuff) January 11, 2012
worked better than expected The gloves are great as they keep you warm but are not bulky, perfect for hunting January 1, 2012
ski professional, i use them daily These are used as my daily light wear gloves, and a base when the weather turns extra cold. They keep the wind off my hands, and allow me to light work as i need to. The grip on the palm makes everything easily handled, and the soft material of the construction makes them feel like they are just apart of you. Though they do wick water, if you hold or dig in snow, they will get wet all the way through, just as any glove does. Highly recommended. December 15, 2011
Not as warm as I thought it would be !! I was looking for a light weight and warm gloves and my comprehension of the product description was that it would be warm but it is not. even in 34 degrees in Boston it does not keep my hands warm. I wish I could return it and shop for another one but I just do not think it worths paying the shipping fee. So I will keep it. October 29, 2011
