Good & bad at the same time
Love these shorts. They fit great and I like the small pocket on the rt. side for sliding my shades into. My biggest gripe is that although the material used to make them is comfortable, it doesn't hold up very well. I've been thru 4 pr in 6 mos. They simply wear out in the seat WAY too soon.

I like the Lander shorts.
I have been wearing Lander shorts by Columbia over three years. I keep three or four pair for work, and a couple of pairs for casual wear. I work maintenance at a golf course and the Lander shorts are perfect. They are rugged, comfortable, great fit and wear very well. When I am not working I like them for casual wear because of the comfort, fit and style. I also have three pair of Lander pants for casual wear.

Glad Columbia still had this Short available
I had finally found a pair of Shorts that fit right and looked right and worked right. Then, foolishly I used them in a work environment where I got some goop firmly attached to one leg. The retail store no longer had any more of them available, so I went to the Columbia site. And there it was, although the only one available in my size was the longer, 11" length, as opposed to the 9" length. Again, I now have a good-looking pair of Lander Shorts, with pockets that fit my needs, including both the zipped pocket for my wireless car key, the side pocket for my glass case, and the regular back and side pockets for wallet, phone and miscellaneous stuff. Thanks, Columbia, a really terrific product and easy-to-use website.

Great Shorts
These are great shorts. I have a few pairs of the Lander pants, but this is the first pair of Lander shorts for me. Convenient and deep pockets, snap closure, material and fit are all good.

Side pocket is perfect
I have been looking for a pair of shorts that has a side pocket. This is just perfect if you need to carry a pen and a small (Memo) note pad. I use them for work and this valuable side pocket is a great bonus to to this pair of shrts. Also bought a couple pair of long pants for the colder months.

A Great Fit for a Great Guy
Bought a pair of these at a Columbia outlet. Husband loved them so much I had to see if you had any available on your website. You had two colors in his size so I bought both. He loved his Father's Day gifts.

Good shorts
A good pair of shorts. Waist similar to the Lander pants. I found the length to be ok. Maybe a little longer than other shorts but acceptable. The zip pocket is very handy.

Being 6'6" i struggle to find shorts that have a long enough inseam. These shorts are great! Perfect fit

Lander shorts= versatility
I love the Lander short. I own 4 of them and find them very comfortable. I like the fact they come with many pockets but are still a flat style not cargo. I use them for many applications from hiking, traveling to casual wear.

here, there and anywhere shorts,,,no
the lander pants are just perfect in every way,,,fit, comfort, price and versatility. Yes they do wrinkle a bit but they still look good on you for everyday wear. Can't say the same for the shorts,,,fit is poor and the gussett just isn't like the pants...big disappointment !

Favorite shorts
I had a small panic attack when I saw one that the retailer that usually sells these no longer carried them. I love the zippered side pocket and the fit. I am by no means a slim fit person and I love the way these fit. I hate cargo shorts and this is a great alternative. Please never stop making these. Especially with the 11 inch inseam. Good tough shorts for all occasions.

Lander Short
Well made, nice styling, very comfortable. The fabric was heavier than I expected (hard to tell from online photos). They're a little heavy for summer but will work well on a cool day or in a more formal setting.

Love'em
Great hot weather shorts, lite weight, comfortable and laundry well. DO NOT like the fastner. The stud pops out of the donut after several months of regular wear and washing. Oherwise love 'em

Great Shorts
These have turned out to be my favorite shorts. Good fit, good wearing, convenient side pocket for my knife. It's too bad they have discontinued the 8" inseam model. Hopefully they will not discontinue this line as I will be buying these every year.

Great shorts! Love the side pocket!
I bought a pair of Lander shorts back in July and soon had to have more. I really like the feel of the material and the second right side zippered pocket. I love the lower right side pocket; it's perfect for my iPhone! I now have three pair.

Great casual shorts
Great fabric. Ordered a 38 and they were large in the waist.

Comfortable and Stylish
The Lander Shorts are great but a bit larger both in waist and length than expected. Unfortunately, I am one size in between for most companies, requiring an ideal waistline of either a 31 or 33. However, very pleased and satisfied with my Lander shorts and also with the level of excellent customer service provided.

Great Shorts for Disabled
I'm a double leg amputee. Wearing long pants is difficult. Thus I wear shorts as much as possible. Getting my pants up is a challenge but the Lander shorts were easier than most. I found the 32 to be a little snug in the waist. I recently bought 6 pairs of shorts, 3 from Columbia and 3 from another outlet. By far, the Lander shorts are my favorivtes.

To big.
Runs way to big in the waist. Normally for me a 30 is to small and a 32 is barely to large, so I actually wear a 31, which onone makes of course. The Lander 32 is more like a 34.

Great for my Florida vacation
I had purchased one of the Lander shorts a few years ago at a department store and it was my favorite on my previous Florida vacation because of the zippered side pocket (wallet security) narrow leg pocket (for reading glasses) and ample size hip pockets (small camera case, brochures, handkerchiefs, etc.)
When it came time for my next vacation I looked all over the place but could never find them again, so I ordered 4 pair from Columbia with the free shipping (for joining their club).
Now, nothing's perfect, so on one of the dark-colored shorts there was a little of the lining showing at the snap, but since I wear a belt that wasn't worth returning it. Also the legs were a little generous in my opinion, I would have preferred more taper, but that also was not a big deal.
I am satisfied.
