Wow!
This is an excellent shirt. It's light, breathes well, and looks good at the same time. Whether you're on a hike or at the market, this shirt won't let you down. Everyone should have one.

Men’s Mountain Tech™ II Short Sleeve Crew
This is a great looking t-shirt,wears good and keeps it sharp after washing.

Very comfortable
I've only had a chance to wear this T-shirt a few times because of weather conditions. When I did wear it, it was comfortable and had an excellent fit for someone with a relative slim build like mine. The material feels very pleasing and appears to be of a high quality.
Based upon my experience with other Columbia products, I expect this one to deliver a long, rewarding, and satisfying experience. Time will tell.

Not same as last years
I purchased 2 of these assuming they'd be the same as the one I bought last year but was disappointed. The new ones have a side hem that curves inward at the bottom and the fit is noticeable more small.
Last years side hem is straight down and the fit is more true to size. I had to return mine.
Note: They sell a shirt very similar to this in a lot of the Big Brand name stores labeled as 'Meeker Peak'. It lacks the Omni Tech logo on sleeve and Columbia emblem at hem bottom but fits more true to size.

Must have outdoor layering piece
The Mountain Tech II shirt is the all around best layering piece that I've found. Whether its on top on my base layers on a ski day or as a primary piece on the river this shirt performs spectacular and is my go to on an everyday basis. Not to mention that this shirt is super comfy as well.

Under, over, in or out - Great T
Love these shirts. I'm 6'3", 215lbs and XL fits perfect - not too tight or too loose. Have them in nearly every color. Wear as base layer, outer layer, tucked in or hanging out for work, play, hiking, biking, fishing, golf, working out and everything in between. Not hot, not cold, soft but structured, wicks the sweat and washes up great. Wife loves that the smells wash right out no matter how filthy I bring them home after a week in the high country. Recent colors: Bronco is orange but not hurt your eyes bright; Palm is a more bright kelly green than the color chip. White is a true white and the red is a great mellow red but not dull or maroonish.

New favorite Tee
Aweseome basic solid color tee. Nice lightweight material. Have one in just about all the colors now. Bought a few a while back and they hold up great. Really nice in the summer.

Perfect base layer and summer hiking shirt
I bought two of these after owning and wearing the long sleeve versions while hiking the John Muir Trial last summer. I had to narrow my clothing options down to one shirt for fifteen days and this one stood the test of time. These shirts are durable, wick well, and hold up to snags and other tough trail conditions. They also maintain their colors after repeated washing and outdoor use. If I only get to carry one shirt, this is the one. The only problem is deciding which color I like better!

love the color
my husband loves this shirt. he wears it under a collared shirt sometimes too and it looks great

Well Done
This tee shirt is well constructed, launders well, and material is colour-fast. I have long sleeve version as well and it is a great base layer in winter: no bulk and warm.

These are beautiful
My favorite shirts on my husband - and for once he agrees with me. He has them in 3 colors. The fit is amazing and the quality top notch.

Mountain Tech t's
My husband loves these T's to use as layers. Keeps him warm as well as dry. He wears the XXL. Wish they were made a little bit "fuller" for the huskier guys though!

Excellent shirt
This is a great lightweight wicking shirt that can be worn alone or under layers. The material is comfortable, and the sizing is correct.

Unbelievable Shirts
I love these shirts, I am so picky about my shirts, I have only 100% cotton shirts at home, but these Columbia shirts are more comfortable and softer than my cotton shirts, and I just love them. I also, like all the colors that they are avaialble in, they fit perfect also, unlike my other shirts that baloon out toward the bottom. When exercising the shirts keep you cool. Unbelievable !!! I will be wearing these shirts for the rest of my life !!!!
Thank You Columbia.

best t shirt ever
I love this shirt. I have about 10 of them and i never get tired of wearing them. Its a well fit shirt that has just the right neck size. It feels very comfortable against the skin and wicks moisture away exceptionally well. They also tolerate a lot of washings. The shirts i have had for one year look just like the ones I bought last month.

Great shirt and great price..............
This is a great shirt and a very good price however the shirt runs a little small compared to other columbia shirts and according to their charts. I wear a large in every other shirt made my columbia but I had to get a XL in this shirt. Other than that I highly recommend this shirt because it is very comfortable and made well too.

excellent shirt
I own a bunch of these, they are excellent.

Cool and Comfortable
I rarely if ever write a review of a product, but this shirt must be mentioned. This is my fourth MT II t-shirt (actually 5th - I lost one), and they're the most comfortable t-shirt I ever owned. They're cool in the hot summers and wicking - I use them for exercise. I take them x-large so they don't constrict me. Even my wife like the feel of them. My only complaint, i would appreciate more colors, I'm running out of choices.

Perfect
This shirt breathes so well. It is a great undershirt for a sweater.

Short Sleeve Crew
These shirts are fantastic always look good - wash well - and are great when travelling.

Great
While I like this shirt, I wish Columbia still sold the first generation Mountain Tech shirt.

Very good, but Speedhike is better
This is an overall very comfortable t-shirt and fits just right to your body. Nonetheless, I do find Speedhike to be better in terms of softness, comfort, and elasticity. This is perhaps just a personal preference as I do like cotton much better than poly. On the plus side, Mountain Tech seems to wick better than Speedhike.

I really like this shirt
Glad I bought this shirt...it's comfortable, looks good and fits well.

Best shirt I've ever worn.
Lots of shirts promise to "wick away moisture", but they always seem to wind up being soggy rags. I sweat very easily, especially in the Oklahoma summer heat, and these shirts are the only ones I've ever worn that dry quickly and keep the wicking promise. They also don't retain odor, so I don't smell like I've been sweating. They look good, they're light, breathable, and stain resistant. They're the best shirts I've ever owned, and I'm in the process of swapping every last one of my other summer-wear shirts for these.

Nicest tee I've worn to date
Soft, absorbent, great fit, goes great in the field or with jeans for a tasteful casual look.
August 7, 2011
Nice fabric, too big
Well constructed and comfortable, on the light-weight side, wicks well. But it runs large. I'm 6'2", 180 and always wear a large. But the large Mountain Tech fits closer to an extra large.
August 4, 2011
So far so good
Great weight and moisture vapor transmission rate. The stitching is uniform, clean, and of high quality. Color and size have remained constant after several wash cycles. I hope durability will justify the price.

Great Shirt, Poor Color Descriptions!
Have 8 of these shirts which should tell you what I think of them as far as comfort/quality goes. Very good shirt on warm/hot days!
My problem is in Columbia's inability to get accurate photo descriptions. Black (duh), Fossil, Surplus Green, and Gypsy (previously called Vermillion I think) are pretty much as described.
Burst I was hoping to actually be closer to the straight up green as pictured in a previous review, but is more of a "Safety Yellow". This is perhaps the only color I REALLY dislike.
Black Night and Hydro colors are very nice but THE EXACT SAME THING! I guess I will still wear each shirt but am mad I ordered 2 of the same thing.
Red Element is fairly close but more red than maroon for those wondering. Would call it Candy Apple Red perhaps?
Am 6'3" and have floated between 170-190 lbs and size L fits well.
July 25, 2011
great T
Fits comfortably, athletically cut, feels very light on my body while exercising. The fit is just a wee bit larger, but not to the point where it hangs loosely off my body
July 10, 2011
Mountain Tech
I love the material and feel of the shirt. It seems to run a little smaller than a normal XL-especially through the chest and shoulders. Next time (there will be a next time!!) I will order a size larger.
June 27, 2011
Color not accurate
I ordered the Black Night color specifically from the website because I couldn't find it in stock near me. However, when it arrived it looked nothing like the color featured. It looked like the Hydro color instead of Black Night even though the tag clearly said Black Night. Very disappointed that I waited a week for a shirt that looks nothing like the one pictured.

great for combos, or alone
I've bought several of these shirts already. They're great to wear in combination with other shirts or alone. And they are perfect for texas summers.
May 4, 2011
Got to have these if you live in texas
These shirts are a great buy. If you live in Texas there is nothing better, they breath well and keep you dry. They tend to run a little large, for me that's perfect. The first generation of these were a little better, still a great price and value for a great shirt.

Worth every penny
Awesome shirt, light weight breathable going to buy a couple more
April 24, 2011
Great Shirt
This is a fantastic shirt, fits and feels great.

Get this shirt--don't buy anthing else!!!
This shirt is the best. Don't believe the competition's hype--these are better than any of the others out there. Under Armour products can't hold a candle to these. These feel like cotton--soft and comfortable--but wick moisture and retain NO ODOR. I wear these everywhere in every climate and receive compliments from everyone. I have 5 or 6 now (I've lost count) and will probably continue to purchase more as the "competitors' garments"filter their way out of my closet. THANK YOU COLUMBIA!!!
February 13, 2011
Bought my 8th Shirt
I love this shirt for working out and bicycling and on hot days. They are easy to wash and wear - no drier needed. If you use a white solid deoderant stick, it will slowly degrade the fabric over two years. I switched to a clear stick which reacts less.
February 12, 2011
Great comfort
I bought two of these shirts to wear around casual. The fabric is soft and comfortable and breathes nicely in the hot weather. They are wrinkle free and look nice out of the drawer. The fit was spot on for me, but I like my shirts to fit and not feel oversized.
February 11, 2011
Nice shirt - poor description
I have several of these shirts. I think that, for the money, they are the best product out there in the synthetic t-shirt market. My gripe is with the color. Once again, I ordered a product from Columbia where the color of the product received was substantially different than the color swatch in the description. In this case, the color swatch appeared as a muted yellow. The actual product was bright lime. The color name ("Burst") should have been a tip-off, but I went with the color in the picture. Furthermore, if Columbia doesn't want to fix the color swatches in their advertisements, they should use color names that correctly identify the actual color of their products. If the color is bright green, call it "Bright Green"! Dump these wacky color names that nobody understands (Gremlin, Gypsy, Red Rover, Burst, etc.). See photo...(shirt is on right!)
January 20, 2011
Excellent shirt--BETTER THAN ALL COMPETITORS!!!!
January 10, 2011
Great Value for the product.
These dry/breathe faster/better than cotton. I own 2 of the older model Mountain Tech tees which I like a little better because the fabric seems to be tougher in that model. That's not to say these newer models are weak because I own two of them as well and have hiked and climbed in them(scraping them on the rock face) with no problems. Go a head and buy one you won't regret it. ( PLEASE NOTE: That these fit slightly slim to allow for layering so size up if you like loose T-shirts)
