not the best i used these socks for still hunting, the did well when temps were above 40. when temps were below 40 they did not preform well at all, about like a cotton sock. If you were to use these for something more active they may preform better. February 5, 2012
Return trip In early December we purchased several pairs of Omni Heat Hiker socks. Some were for personal use, and some were for gifts. The ones for personal use were used on several hunting trips. The socks were a big hit. In early January we purchased several more pairs. February 4, 2012
Thin, yet warm Finally managed to try these out in winter conditions (Yosemite in late December 2011 mid 20's to 40's F), and boy was I suprised! These socks were very warm even in my uninsulated boots. Outside the boots, they oddly felt a bit cool, probably because they breathe very well, but inside the boots, my feet were very warm. Warmer than my normal heavyweight synthetic hiking socks.The cushioning on the socks is good despite the thinness. The only problem I had was the top opening of the sock was very tight for me (I have very thick calves), but that was solved by folding the top down a bit. January 17, 2012
Drowned Rat I bought these socks for a variety of uses but the mostly for cycling. I commuted home from work last week (late December) during a down pour in 45 degree weather. I didn't have any shoe covers so my shoes and socks were soaked through within the first few minutes of cycling. I was delighted that my feet and even my toes stayed warm throughout the 80 minute ride home. January 3, 2012

OH-Hiker I like that this sock is tight around your foot and calf. It allows you to layer another sock over it, also to use it when it is not as cold, by itself. The Omni Heat provides the extra heat you need. November 26, 2011
Keeps You Warm I was very happy with these socks. Even when my toes had become numb from the cold outside, my feet were still warm (I'm not sure how that works). The socks are the perfect length too. November 18, 2011
Work better than expected. I bought a pair of these socks to go along with the Electric Omni Heat Thermal boots that I purchased. I have to say, with the reflective material on the inside of the socks, they work better than I expected. They are very comfortable, and very warm. I highly recommend these socks to anyone that is out in extreme cold conditions often, as well as they compliment the Omni Heat boots very well. You won't be sorry purchasing a pair, or two.
