velcro fly is laughable at best you guys missed the mark on this fly closure. you have a fly opening of about 4.5 in. with a piece of velcro maybe 2 in at best, come on, really! put a zipper or something. July 30, 2011

So close yet so far... Shorts are good, material is good, look and feel are good, but one important flaw. There are 2 small 1/2" x 2" strips of velcro holding the fly closed. The upper one holds just fine as it is also held by the waist tie, but the lower one pops open just about every time you move. Bought these because I thought they looked cool and comfortable, but nothing is cool and comfortable about walking around with your fly undone all the time, or constantly checking out your own crotch to ensure it's not.
