Men’s Wind Stalker™ Jacket 5 5 1 1
Very happy with product I bought this for bow hunting in the Hudson Valley of New York. I will sometimes sit in a stand or ground blind. I will also participate on deer drives where I walk through terrain driving deer for other shooters. I was looking for something lightweight, breathable, and would still keep me warm. I originally purchased the Stealth Shot 2 jacket but returned it in favor of the Wind StalkerI ordered these in medium...I'm 5'7", 180 pounds. The jacket was very comfortable and quiet when I would draw my bow. Despite having 2 layers underneath the jacket (Columbia Heavy Fleece base layer and then a Tek 4 Heavy Layer under them) it fit well and was not snug.In 25 degree weather, all 3 layers kept my upper body comfortable, despite cold wind. In the same weather, I only wore the Columbia base layer and Wind Stalker Jacket pants but was still very comfortable walking through terrain (up and down hills) driving deer. Once it was my turn to sit, I did not feel any moisture build up...the Columbia gear did it's job wicking away my sweat. The pockets are plentiful and deep. There are side pockets and a breast pocket. The pockets are so deep that I thought I lost my keys when they were actually deep inside the jacket.I have two complaints, one of which I have addressed in my other reviews:1) For the $220 price, you are competing with other archery clothing that offers scent protection. This Columbia gear doesn't claim to offer any scent protection at all (which is why I relied on Scent spray and Tek 4 silver). If this product did something to mask scent, it would have rated an Excellent in function for me.I paid less than full price (but cannot mention specifics due to review guidelines) for this jacket thanks to a coupon--for that price I would do it again. I would explore and consider different clothing options if you are only able to purchase a set for $220 and dead set on having some form of scent elimination technology.2) When wearing my Stealth Shot 2 pants and this jacket, the camouflage pattern is the same but the Jacket is slightly more "bolder/brighter" in color. It isn't very noticeable unless you spend some time staring at it...but it will likely annoy some people so I mention it in the review. The quality and craftsmanship of the jacket is still top notch.
