Bottom of jacket to small. I purchased this jacket for my husband with some hesitation regarding the fit. While I was watching the product video something caught my eye. The fit of the coat looks good but if you look closely at the very bottom of the coat it looks to be a little tight on the model. Sure enough, same thing when we received the jacket. The fit and the weight of the coat is good but the band on the bottom was tight. I ended up sending it back and ordering the next size up. Hoping that it's not too big. December 5, 2012

Great jacket I have just received this jacket in our southern summer so not yet used it. I wanted a warm jacket for a trip to Japan next year (warmer than what I would wear in NZ) . This jacket is exactly what I hoped it would be, the external fabric feels great the pockets are well located and well sized ie not too big or too small. I have other columbia gear and always fit a large and this jacket was no exception , it fits perfectly. It seems to have plenty of insulation but is not bulky and the fit looks good. All in all very pleased at this stage. Let's hope it performs when I actually use it! October 20, 2012

How to measure

Neck: Measure at the base or thickest part of your neck.
Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
