Great Hat I purchased this hat as I lost an older hat. Great procuct, keeps your head warm on cold days. I did wear it running one windy night, wind chill was in the high teens, low twentys and it worked well. I also like the fact you can wear this under a bike helmet. Nice and long on the side to cover your ears, almost too long. February 21, 2013
WELL MADE PRODUCT BUT NOT WORTH THE COST. NOT AS WIND RESISTANT AS I THOUGHT. WELL MADE, BUT RUNS SMALL IN SIZE & I ORDERED A L/XL FOR AN AVG. 7-1/4 HAT SIZE. WORKS WELL AS A BASE LAYER OR HIGH ACTIVITY HEADGEAR. January 27, 2013
runs very small Very small for a L/XL Hard to cover ear's January 23, 2013
Low Profile and Warm I got this hat for winter biking and just getting around in the cold. The hat itself is pretty thin, and when I put it on it's almost like a swimmers cap, but it blocks the wind very well and keeps my head pretty warm. I have a smaller head so I got the small/medium, and it fits just about perfectly. It just covers my whole ear, and I haven't had any issues with it coming down over my eyes. If you're looking for something that's low profile yet still warm, this is a great choice. January 22, 2013
Nice and soft Nice soft shell material with the foil lining. It keeps your dome warm without being to warm. it does run a bit long so it you have to manuever it towards the back of your head or it will cover your eyes. January 3, 2013
Good purchase This hat is very good quality for its size. It is very warm, easy to clean and convenient. I would purchase a spare. December 16, 2012
Glad larger sizes now Got one like this last year and was too small for my head. Warm. Wish came over my ears a little more. December 5, 2012
warm and functional The beanie is good and warm according to my husband. However, it does run small. The "mystery" color is just that. We would prefer gray or black. November 19, 2012
Awesome These hats are great. They are light weight, easy to handle, look good, and they keep you warm. My whole lifeguard crew loves them--and we wear them constantly on the Oregon Coast. They are pretty snug, you can wear them under a helmut, or other hats. July 7, 2012
skull cap nice idea, but I ordered this ( I thought) large enough for me, but when I received it it was way too small, no elasticity at all in this "cap". May 11, 2012
Hydroboss Bought this beanie to fit under my helmet for skiing and bicycle riding. This has the same technology as my "Whirlibird" jacket, that has the "Omni-Heat" lining. It works great! Keeps yor head warm, yet let's it breathe. It works very well under both helmets. I wear a 7 - 7 1/4 hat size. April 13, 2012
this product has excelant features of keeping you comfortable in cold or warm condictions My first experience with the omni heat product was at Dicks sporting goods it was a shirt I wear it 5 out of 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks. well I went on line and found more Columbia products and decided to get the Powder Summit Beanie hoping it would be as good as the shirt. IT was GREAT feels good regulates body temp- Bought it for winter kayaking and mountain hiking. The Beanie preformed better than I thought it would. I like it so much I wear it every day when I am working outside and that's most of the time .I encourage you to use Columbia products you will be very satified. January 22, 2012
Powder Summit Beanie This is an excellent made product. The fit is tight. I use it mostly for riding my bicycle underneath my helmet. I also use it occasionally under my motorcycle helmet. It is thin so it works well under helmets. It blocks the wind superbly & keeps your head warm. If you need something to cover your ears completely, this is not the hat for you. Overall it does the job for me on my early a.m. bicycle rides. December 17, 2011
Keeps the heat in I use this for cycling and find it works very well. Fits nicely under a helmet without and "bumps".Only draw back is the fit is tight. I have the L/XL and that is still tight. When I finish my ride I always have a seam mark on forehead from the it. November 17, 2011
