Men's Shastalavista™ 4.5 5 26 26
All " In-Tact" after first tumble wash I'm a Tech. This pair look and hold up great. Colors cool as well as my feet. That's very important. P.R. weather is very humid, these would be great on the island. WIDE toe feels really good. I'm rugid,45, and born in L.A. August 19, 2012
Best walking shoes I ever had I live in a city so I walk 1 to 2 hours a day while commuting to work and shopping. I liked the mid-height Shastalavista for hiking so I decided to get this low-height one as well for daily use. So far it's been the best walking shoes I ever owned. It's sturdy but light and breathable, and doesn't soak water in rain and puddles despite not being the water-proof model. The build is pretty hard if you're used to soft sneakers, but I prefer harder shoes for long amount of walking and it'll last longer. This is the first time that the inner-back of a shoe hasn't shredded after half a year of daily use, which also means longer sock life. The inside is comfortable even though I have a slightly wide feet. I did not get a single sore spot on my feet wearing it new every day.The strings on my Tusk/Chili are a bit accented in red but overall the color is still suitable enough for casual work and outings. Darker tones without color highlights would be perfect. For outdoor occasions I still prefer the mid-height Shatalavista for better support and dust-proofing. April 9, 2012
good hiking shoes This shoes looks very solid, a little bit hard. may not be a good running shoes, but it is good for hiking, especially when you walking on rocky trail. March 9, 2012
Good shoe Just got mine. They are very comfortable right out of the box. They arent as light as some other columbia shoes but comfortable none the less. March 8, 2012
Comfortable Feet Very comfortable shoes for walking and hiking. Good traction on wet trails. March 7, 2012
Great all purpose shoe This is the second pair of these that I have owned. I purchased this pair to replace the ones I wore out after two years. I live in these shoes. They are very comfortable and support my feet well. I walk in them through all sorts of terrain: city, flat trails, hilly trails, rocky trails. I can't say I do a tremendous amount of hard core hiking, most of the time I am going 2 to 4 miles on well marked trails or walking in the city, but for my purposes these have served me well. I also tend towards plantars fascitis and these shoes help eliminate the problems I have with that. They are a very good price, too. March 7, 2012
Great Shoe This is the second pair Shastalavista's I have bought, they're great for hiking and trail bikes and they look great. They are very comfortable, keep my feed dry and hold up well, I definitely recommend them. February 5, 2012
Men's Shastalavista Shoes I put these shoes on and found them comfortable from the start. I own three pair of similar Colombia shoes and have not been disappointed with any of them. I also ordered another pair of these with a different color. They had a flaw on the inside of the left shoe that made wearing them uncomfortable. I returned them for a no-hassle refund. Shoes The quality of this product is excellent. December 7, 2011
Shastalavista - Great!!!! Very happy with my new shoes. Order was delivered promptly. They definitely fit more like shoes than hiking boots, but true to size. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. October 26, 2011
Very comfortable, looks great I love the columbia products and these shoes are fantastic. Very comfortable and look great! October 3, 2011
Bypass Omni Shield for footwear Good overall shoe. Good for casual mountain biking, around town, light trail. A bit clunky for trail running, bit do the trick for short outings. For the product designers;abandon the Omni Shield for footwear. New shoe, 2 mile trail run in wet grass = wet socks over the toes and instep. Omni Tech or nothing (have not field tested OutDry yet). The rest of the ensemble;Falmouth socks - goodSpeed Trek II Omni Wick tights - excellent. Good fit, zippers in the right place. Could benefit from Omni Shield for wet runs.Descender Omni Dry (old style) long sleeve half zip - excellent.Highlander Ridge Omni Shield Softshell - Better than expected, and growing on me as an Autumn/cool/wet seasonal shell. Not too warm, trim fit, good freedom of movement. Could benefit from venting zips, or baffles like the Hail Tech shell. Sleeves a bit too long. September 17, 2011
comfortable shoes !! These tennis shoes are very comfortable to wear !! September 5, 2011
Great value Bought this shoe two weeks ago and very pleased! Third pair of Columbia footwear. Fits well, comfortable, breathes well. Provides great support and traction. Would recommend making this waterproof, if at all possible. July 29, 2011
Great Shoes - really Comfortable I was looking for an all-around shoe that I could use for walking, lite hiking. These are perfect for that. They are medium light weight and really comfortable with a cushion instep. The picture is not exactly accurate. The gray color along the sole and next to the brown meshing is considerably lighter than in the photo. Still, they are attractive and I'm very pleased I that I bought them. July 12, 2011
Another great product from Columbia I really like Columbia shoes. I would recommend this product for spring/autumn, for hot summer they are not so ventilated. June 25, 2011
So far so good. Only had them for a couple weeks, but so far I like them. They are comfortable and look nice. I am pleased so far. Time will tell. June 3, 2011
Great looking shoe Perfect fit, very comfortable. May 30, 2011
Outstanding hiking shoe Spent the weekend hiking around in these items and really liked them. They feel great and have super traction. I am very impressed with the quality and the finish of the shoe. May 23, 2011
I'm satisfied with the product HiI'm satisfied with the product, they're so functional, that I was looking for, I expect that at the work can show me more, I climb hard places,Thanks for the service and the product May 21, 2011
Poor fit of tongue-side gussett Gusset between tongue and side of shoe is uncomfortable if it is allowed to move toward the sole of the shoe. It presents a rough edge in that position because it is pressed against the foot, and it irritates foot. Fit is fine if I take the time to push the gusset up above the side of the tongue(not an easy task) as I put the shoe on my foot. Maybe a larger size would prevent the problem? April 25, 2011
Skeptical, but proved wrong I was a little skeptical about picking up a pair of Columbia hikers, but had heard good things about the new line. I have to say that I am loving these shoes so far. Look great, traction seems to be just right and they are nice and airy up top. September 15, 2010
Solid and versatile These shoes are great everyday regardless of what you get into (as long as it's not puddles). Great traction and a lot of response on the trail or around town. I also like that they breathe well while being water, stain, and odor repellant! September 9, 2010
Great after re-lacing I found the out-of-box lacing to be cumbersome and even a bit frustrating, so I re-laced the shoes such that lace ends were coming upward out of the top-most holes (instead of downward from factory). Once they were relaced, the shoes were much easier to tighten and tie.I hiked around on Mt. Hood (Oregon) for the better part of a day, and the shoes felt wonderful. Very comfortable, and lots of traction. My feet felt great at the end of the day. August 22, 2010
