Red for the head I hike a local mt. every Thursday tried this new hat out last Thursday clear, cool, windy day hat staid on kept my head warm plenty of shade looks like a winner. I picked red so that I would stand out if someone needed to find me. February 28, 2011

I love this hat!! I've finally found a hat that fits my needs. I've tried many booney style hats, but always found them hot or hated the floppy brim. The Columbia Silver Ridge Booney's brim stands out nicely, not impairing your vision. The Silver Ridge is nicely vented, but maintains it's shape. Many vented hats are mesh and look sloppy. The top of the hat repels rain well. The bungee in the hat band works well to custom fit the hat to your head. I love this hat!! September 20, 2012

Great hat The first day I used this hat it was about 88° here and with the humidity it felt like 98°. The air was thick and sticky, but this hat kept my head fresh feeling. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I really look like a hick in it . But thats alright because I am not as hot headed as I would be without it. August 2, 2012

This is a great hat! Bought this hat for my husband who is an avid baseball cap type of guy, but needed something to protect his ears/neck. This works perfectly. It packs small and light and resists rumpling. And it looks good on. Wish the brim was just a little bigger for more protection. The drawstring means it stays on in th wind and there's a drawcord around the dome for a custom fit around your head. It's good in rain/sun. This is a great hat. April 21, 2012

Best Hat ever!! I originally found these at a Columbia outlet when looking for a hat for sun protection while sailing. The brim has a stiffness that keeps it in place without folding over your eyes in a stiff breeze. The cap size is adjustable to any head and not so deep that it covers your eyes when at the tiller. I see it working well for kayaking, windsurfing and kiteboarding, as well!! Just bought one for my 83 year old active Dad and it's on the Xmas list for other family members next year. Awesome Hats These hats are the greatest. My husband and I both have them and bought them for our kid's as well. We wear them everywhere, beach, boating, hiking, rafting, etc.The kid's size does not have a chin strap so buy the adult size. It has the same brim size and has a toggle in the back to chinch it up smaller. Works great. August 4, 2011

Good Quality Hat Generally well constructed, drawstring works well to ensure good fit, good size brim (for those worried about getting a sunburn on your neck or face).I would definitely recommend this hat for anyone needing a little more protection than generally provided by hats. July 25, 2011
