Good fit and great quality, but a snap? As with any Columbia product, these shorts are durable and styled well. The only issue I have is that they use the snap closure on the waist instead of a button. I have several Columbia shorts that have this, but for those of us that tend to be really active and move and stretch a lot in them, the snap keeps popping open. I don't have that problem with the button closures. My recommendation to Columbia is to use buttons on those clothing items where you expect the person to be active. Awesome stain/water /sweat resistant cargo shorts These shorts are great! They are water/stain/sweat resistant and great for super hot summers in Chicago. Product is very comfortable and well made. Shorts are really comfortable. They have great storage and are well made but are not as heavy or bulky as some shorts. They are cooler for summer weather. The material is softer and wears really well. I normally wear a size 34 waist and found these to be true to size , ordered 34. June 28, 2012

Omni-shield works When I bought these I pretty much ignored the omni-shield, assuming it was a marketing scheme. The shorts are comfortable and fit well. I noticed the omni-shield works after I dropped the contents of a bean burrito in my lap. A laundry soap directly on it before a wash and there were no stains. Will be buying more of these for sure. The fit was great, are very comfortable and the material felt really amazing. Even had a minor mishap where a lot of water accidentally fell on the shorts and it just beaded off like water off a ducks back. Very pleased with the purchase. April 11, 2012
Comfortable These are exactly what I was hoping for. They fit great and are perfect to wear on the weekends. They are longer, so I would not recommend them as "nice" shorts (i.e. what you could wear to work or golfing). They are great to wear after work or just hanging out with friends.
