A little disappointed
This jacket is cute and does warm up but is not made for taller women. I'm 5'9" 160 pounds. Tried a Large (fit body well, but snug and not long enough) then exchanged for XL (Xl made the stomach area poof out funny, front was made longer than back and neck of jacket is too big letting cold air in). Sleeve length is fine until you put your thumbs in the holes, then it pulls way too tight hurting your thumbs. Length for me isn't long enough, hits at the top of my butt, bending over slides up to my waist. (not good when trying to stay warm in cold weather and unless you have a short shirt, it sticks out the bottom of the jacket a lot which looks funny. When zipped up fully, the top of the jacket stabbs into my chin every time I look down, it's very stiff. It doesn't seem to be made of the warmest material, and the heating element doesn't stay at a steady warm temperature the whole time. 20 minutes after it warms up, it starts to fade on the hottest setting. If the "brain" of the jacket is sensing when it should turn it down or up , that is not good, we should be able to control that but not sure if that's the case or if my jacket just isn't working properly. It warms my wrists, parts of my arm and sides of my waist. Doesn't heat on my back even though I feel wires in that area. It is a cute jacket, maybe made for someone that's more petite. (On the UTube Columba model video, she is very tiny and short so her jacket hits just below her hips which would be great if that were the case for us taller women) I bought a good quality down jacket from a different company, that jacket keeps me warmer and keeps the air out more than this heated jacket. For the price, this should be made better and have options for taller women. I will be returning this jacket.

Satisfied with my purchase, my wife liked the coat.
It is always kind of difficult to find my wife something new and different, this jacket fit the bill perfectly for me this holiday season. The jacket is nicely designed and the V-tailoring keeps the overall lines of the coat flattering. The quality is good as you would expect from Columbia's top line product, is easy to charge and use... and so far works exactly as promised in the literature, although she has not been in really cold conditions yet, this comming winter in Shanghai will be a good test.
My wife generally wears a size medium, the online reviews indicated the coat runs small, long story/short, I ordered the large and the fit was great, slightly loose not big. If you like a tight slim look the med would be OK for some, the wire is not an issue and the batteries are light and well placed.

sizes run smaller.
This jacket is OK but, I usually take a medium. Sometimes I have to send a jacket back and request the small. I thought for sure Med. would be OK but it is tight. I definitely need a large, but, I wore the jacket to test it's heating and it is tight. I am a size ten. I could hardly get this jacket zipped up so I am dissappointed. Had I gotten a large I would probably be happy. It was, after all, 750 $ So, I at least wish I could have a layer underneath (impossible) so, buy larger.
