Not that warm!!!!
I was very excited to try this jacket downhill skiing as it got great reviews for being warm. First off, the fit is strange. Very tight in the armpits. Thus, I had to go up a size. If you plan on wearing anything warm underneath (which you will need to do most likely), go up a size.
I was very disappointed in the warmth of this jacket. I was skiing in 30 degrees and sun and I was still very cold in my core. I wore long johns and a fleece underneath and this jacket did not keep me warm like columbia ski jackets of old. If you are a person who is warm a lot and generates a lot of heat, this jacket will probably work well for you. If you are usually cold and don't have a lot of your own personal insulation, you might be cold.
That being said, the color and cute cut of the waist made it worth it. I may be freezing on the ski hill, but at least I looked good. Isn't that what women are supposed to do? Ha.

Terrific Jacket
I recently moved from a year-round warm weather climate to an area that gets lots of rain and occasional snow, so I was seeking a very warm, waterproof jacket without the bulkiness of an interchange (a personal preference) -- this jacket satisfies all of my requirements and is also quite stylish! I have not yet had any issues with the zipper, but I do agree with the comment that the sleeves are a bit long. Personally, I'm happy to have the long sleeves (definitely preferable to sleeves that are too short), and I also really love the thumb holes; they eliminate the need for gloves if you're just out for a short period and need to use your hands for activities requiring some dexterity. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase!

Warmest waterproof jacket I've ever owned
Great fitting jacket and super warm. I love the thumb holes and the omni-tech keeps me super toasty even when outdoors for 8+ hours. Living in Seattle = rain, so far the jacket has held up well. I hope the waterproffing works for many years to come. Nice wind protection as well and the soft lining around the neck keeps my skin from getting chaffed during skiing.

Cozy Winter Jacket
This is a great jacket for blustery winter days on the slopes and in town. I do agree with the other reviewers, the zipper on this jacket is terrible and does not reflect the quality I would expect from a Columbia product, but aside from that I am very happy with the jacket. It is very warm and very versatile, and looks great too!

Great Jacket just not for me
This jacket is pretty amazing - very warm and cozy. Online, however, you can't see that it is quite puffy because of the insulation inside. This made me bulk up a lot, and because the shoulders are not defined with a seam i just felt huge. In the end I returned it because of this, but also because I decided that going with layers instead of one super puffy insulated jacket would give me more versatility.

Amazing Winter Jacket
I ride horses for a living and so I spend all day outdoors and in the winter I get really cold- until I got this coat! It is so warm, extremely comfortable, and I have gotten tons of compliments on how cute it is! I would definitely buy this again!

Poor zipper and very long sleeves
While the materials and the fabrics were great in this jacket; the zipper was not large enough for this outer wear jacket. It was very difficult to zip in my living room and I could only imagine trying to zip or unzip it on the ski slope. The sleeves were way to long for the rest of the jacket. The sizing on the rest of the jacket was great, and the color was great.
I sent it back reluctantly as those flaws were deal breakers for me.

LOVE IT
The jacket is amazing! Money well spent! Seriously, everything I was looking for in a jacket was in this one! My only complaint is that it fits larger than the sizing specified but just make sure you go into somewhere that sells a similar columbia jacket and find the size that fits you and it should fit accordingly. The jacket even has a cute pocket on the sleeve for credit cards and such! And it's so warm its crazy! I'm the kind of person that gets cold very easily, and not in this jacket ever again will I be cold! Great buy!

Fabulous Jacket
This coat is very warm and very stylish. Bought it for my tiny daughter-in-law in turquoise and then went right back and got the green for myself. Once you figure out the zipper (it must be snugly fit into the bottom of the zip start or the zipper unzips itself from the bottom up...not a good thing) it is really the perfect jacket. Hangs long enough to keep your tush warm. Keeps the wind, rain and snow out! We both love this jacket and get compliments on how pretty they are every time we wear them. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

Excellent winter jacket
I bought this jacket to because I did not have a winter jacket. I really like this jacket as it keeps you warm without having to wear extra layers of long sleeves under the jacket. It is water and wind resistant. I took it to the ocean with me and it was windy and rainy. The jacket kept me warm and dry. I would recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a good winter jacket.

Best Ski Jacket Ever!
I just took this jacket out for the first time skiing, and boy was it warm and cozy! I'm always freezing while skiing, but this was the first time I've been warm from start to finish. The Omni-Heat is amazing - I could have skied with just a base layer underneath and still have been fine, and fortunately it's highly breathable so you don't overheat. I like having all of the extra pockets. The cut and length is great - very flattering, and it fits true to size and is consistent with other Columbia products. I got it in turquoise, which is slightly less blue than it is in the online photo, and it looks fantastic.
My only, only complaint is that the main zipper seems too cheap for the jacket. I always have to double check it, since half the time the bottom part hasn't zipped correctly (I've never had this problem with any other Columbia gear). However, it's still the best ski jacket I've ever owned.

Love it!
Bought this to be my everyday winter coat. We just got our first snowfall of the season and temperatures are in the mid 20's and it kept me very warm.
If you are going to use the coat for winter sports the fit is sized just right. If you are going to wear alot of layers or thick sweaters you may want to order a size up.
So far, the coat is great. I love all the pockets and a detachable hood is a nice feature.

Jacket too small
I have worn Columbia jackets for 8 years. I liked the jackets for one main reason. They are light weight and warm. However, after trying this jacket, it was just too snug. The older style jackets were cut more generous through the shoulders and mid section. The jacket was beautifully styled and color was nice. I am sure that I will purchase other Columbia products in the future. You can't beat the quality.

Best Jacket Ever!
SO, I'm originally from Tennessee... unused to the frigid winters of Wisconsin... where I'm going to school. I'm in rowing and on the river it's about an extra 20 degrees colder. We still row in the rain. This jacket has kept me dry and WAYYY warm when everyone else happens to be freezing. The pockets are lined with the omniheat technology as well, and you can feel the heat radiating back at you as soon as you slip your hands in your pockets. This jacket also has an uncountable amount of hidden pockets... it seems each day I'm finding a new one. People here are so jealous of this jacket. It was definately worth the money.
