Way too big! The Blood and Guts pants look and feel great. The sizing is way off. As a size 12, I ordered a Large and it fit like an extra large. I didn't know at the time but customers can call Columbia's customer service for help with choosing the correct size. If you order this product call Columbia to get the right size! August 4, 2012

Horrible fit! I am a size 0 and ordered an XS. I expected it to be around a size 2/4 which I can wear with a belt. I got the pants and my Mom could fit into them (she is a size 10/12!). So, I'm not too sure when a size XS became a 10/12!!! I had to send them back as they wouldn't even stay up. The make was great, and if it had been the right size I would have kept them. I don't try to look fashionable on the trail The top pockets are so shallow i would be afraid to keep anything in them. Vanity sizing is alive and well--I accidentally ordered a size xs and thought I would have to return them--they fit fine. Velcro is nice stuff--snaps are a pain. They are much too long. Too Big These pants lack any shape to the waist, square and blocky, and have an elastic gusset in the sides that make them look like maternity pants and no belt loops. I bought an extra small, which I have always been able to wear in Columbia pants, and they fell off me. If you weigh less than about 105-110 lbs, they probably will be too big for you. I weigh 94 and could not begin to wear these. June 29, 2011

Gotta love all the Columbia pants Blood and Guts is the 5th different style I've purchased and this one runs large. I had to reorder a whole size smaller than usual. April 27, 2011

How to measure

Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
