Lovin them, minus the waist cord These are great fitting pants for my shape. I can do without the waist cording. I shorten them and attached a cord lock to easily adjust fit.Both slimming and very very easy pant to be in! May 10, 2013
great pants I bought these pants in both colors after trying them on and reading all the great reviews. I love the fit of the pant, hugs my body just right, and is very breathable and love the weight of the pant. I wish it had at least one pocket by the hip, but not too big of a deal. The only thing I would change, is that it would be just a bit longer. Just about an inch. The regular fit does give good length, which I always have a problem with, but would love just another inch. They wash up great and dry fast. May 2, 2013
Tight fit in all the wrong places Seems like I've tried hundreds of active-wear pants made out of performance material, i.e., a nylon/lycra blend or similar material that wicks moisture, washes in a hotel sink, and dries wrinkle-free quickly -- and they all fit too tightly below the navel and show way too much of one's personal contours. My friends share this complaint, and it's an obvious problem for almost all the women I've observed wearing this type of pant. I tried a black pair of these pants on (too) quickly in a chain store, thought they were an exception, and ordered this beautiful gray pair. Unfortunately, they have the same issue as the dozens of other brands/styles I've tried, so were returned. Too bad because they're really nice looking and appear to be well made. I'm still on the hunt. So far, the least problematic styles I've found are the Royal Robbins Paseo Traveler II (in black; the khaki must be made in a different factory because the same size fits tighter and is therefore unacceptably revealing), the Prana Viva, and the Lucy Spa pant. This Just Right Pant by Columbia is great if it fits your build; I don't recommend it if you're built like me. April 27, 2013
great travel pants I bought these pants for traveling to Ireland so I can pack light do lots of touring. These are so comfy, wash and wear. I highly recommend these. I have them in both colors. My only critique is could you make these in more colors, maybe kahki and dark blue or green? I want more! April 14, 2013

My new favorite pants! I love these pants! They aren't too tight, they move with you, they're comfortable material. I wear them everywhere! I'm plus size 18W, but the 16 fits just fine. Get the 18 if you like them loose. My iphone 4 fits well in the zip leg pocket, and I think the 5 would also fit. I'm retired and we travel a lot, and these are GREAT travel pants. March 29, 2013
Love these pants! These pants are so comfortable that I wear them almost every day! Flattering and a great look for running errands, going to a movie, or for walking with friends, in addition to outdoor activities. Lightweight, but also somewhat wind resistent, they are neither too warm nor too cool - just right for a walk in chilly temps. Also comfortable in warmer weather, too. The gentle stretch in the fabric has just enough"give" to ensure that they don't bind when moving or sitting. I especially like the tie at the waist. I am petite (5') and have a hard time finding pants that fit. I had to shorten these, but that's nothing new for me. I highly recommend these pants! March 2, 2013
Look and feel great! I was looking for pants versatile enough for travel - with an agenda of lots of walking, some biking, mixed with hiking and friends. They fit very nice, the length is excellent. I bought petite and they actually fit perfect from the hip to the hem! They never make it back to the drawer - they go right back on out of the dryer! Nice job, great value Columbia! Best pants ever! I found my first pair of these pants at REI in Santa Fe. The clerk commented on how good they make your fanny look! Regardless of look - it's how good they feel, how easy they are to take care of and the fact that I don't wear sweat pants anymore that has made them an invaluable part of my daily wardrobe. Don't ever stop making these pants and thanks for offering them in short length. best pants ever These fit any woman's body. They even come in lengths--finally. Not all of us are "regular." Sleek flattering design. no gaps at waist (drawstring). Dress up or down. Wash and wear. needs pockets These fit awesome and are so comfortable. I love wearing these for everything. The pants have one thigh pocket which zips and is nice but it would be better if they also had normal pockets to put my wallet/keys in snce I wear these NOT just for sports. January 16, 2013

Love these pants I had bought the original Just Right capris and loved them. Then I tried the 2012 Just Right II pants and capris and was disappointed to find that the fit was quite different - had to return them. These fit just like the original and are great. Can work for casual, dress-up and hiking. Dry fast, water resistant, stretchy, comfortable. Like the black on black trim around the pants leg pocket and the black tie instead of the turquoise. Hope you keep this product - was a bit disappointed that REI doesn't care this one. December 29, 2012
Don't fiddle with what works! I have been wearing the long and short of this pant for 2+ years and always wish I'd bought more-I wear them everywhere for everything and scared they'll wear out and I'm empty! I ordered the lastest pair a few weeks ago and while the overall results are the same-I want the ones I bought the previous 3 or 4 times. The difference?Well-old ones had flat seams off center,(so much more flattering than the center, somewhat raised seam now), a snap with string type closure so you could roll them up to capri length, which these don't have, and a toggle on the drawstring to tighten the pants around the ankles. I do like that I could order these in short even though I'm 5'4" and the others were too long-. Just give me back the seams off side and the chance to roll up-the best ever and the shorts! Finally, the pocket trim matches I didn't like the contrasting pocket trim in last years pants, but stocked up on them anyway because the pants are so great. Now the pockets match and for the first time, I found them in the 'short' version and they are perfect. All my others were shortened, which is a pain and gets expensive.The back seam is a little puckery. The stretchy waist tie may be comfortable for some, but for me, it lets the pants sag too much if I wear them for work because I carry two phones and the weight is too much for the stretchy tie to keep the pants in place.These dry overnight while on vacation, so I can pack less and not check a bag. They can be worn forever without that feeling that you can't wait to get home to change into something more comfortable. October 25, 2012
Great Pant but Could Use Some Upgrades So, for fit and comfort this pant gets a 5 star! I bought both colors and love them both. I wear them mainly hiking on the mountain and if it is cold I add a base-layer under them, but cute enough to do errands in afterwords, or meet pals for brunch. Perfect!In terms of the next generation I would definitely like some pockets on this pant. I also liked the contrast waist tie and pocket zipper that the earlier version had. I understand that these pants are made to have some wiggle room but I wonder if the button could be a little more secure. I feel like it is always moving about and looks as though it might come undone...and not because the pants are too tight just because of the way the button works. October 23, 2012
Mostly good features but could be better. I like a pant that comes to the waist but have trouble finding this feature. If these pants had a good fit at the waist they would be perfect. Fits ok except for front of waistband, not very functional drawstring to correct not so perfect fit. Very comfortable fabric, great for travel. October 21, 2012

I love these pants! So much that I got FIVE pairs! (Some in a size up for those chubby days of the month) They are nice looking, not too low in the waist so you don't have to worry when you bend over, and supper comfortable. Just Right Straight Leg Pant I bought these pants for birding, walking, working out and I love them. They fit perfectly and I am a small size at 4 petite. They are so light weight I can enjoy them in Florida's hottest weather. And they are excellent for traveling as well because they don't wrinkle and are compact. The only drawback of the pants is they have only one pocket, and it is a small leg, zippered pocket. September 9, 2012

Loved the fit These pants had just enough "give". Women need this for their "fat" days. I tried on 4 other styles, but this style felt the best. Good fit, true to size, nice material, length perfect. How to measure
- Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
- Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
- Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
- Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
