Haven't tried it out yet, but so far love it I got this jacket for a backpacking trip through Europe coming up this fall, and I wanted something lightweight that would keep me warm and keep out the rain. I read other reviews that warned to go up a size since it ran small, but I haven't found that. I got a large since I'm a medium, yet it fits like a large. I don't mind since I'm going to be layering under it, but if you want it a little more form fitted, stick with your size. Beyond that, it's extremely lightweight, but it's got the feel of a heavy duty jacket. I can't wait to give it a shot on my trip!! June 13, 2012
Keepin' Me Warm I originally received this jacket, for Christmas, in a medium, but it was too large. So I reordered a small. It fits well. I can move well and the jacket is comfortable.I wore it out in the rain while walking the dogs and I was nice and toasty warm! The rain beaded up on the outside of the jacket and I was completely dry.This is an awesome jacket and I'm glad I chose it. May 23, 2012
Better than I thought After watching the Columbia video describing the features of this jacket, I wasn't sure what the fabric and fit would be like. It almost looked a little flimsy - from what I could tell - but it absolutely was not when I got it. *Phew* This is a true soft shell. Nice quality material that has held up well against the elements and all the bumps and bruises I put it through. The omni-heat technology really works to keep me cozy and warm outside, but I find I overheat quickly if I wear it around indoors for too long (thank goodness for pit zips!). I'm 5'8 and 125lbs and while I usually order XS in most Columbia clothing, I got this one in a small and it fits great. It's more fitted across my shoulders and arms (although I think mine are wider than average), but has extra room throughout the torso for layering up in colder months. Currently I've been pairing this with my Columbia Anytime 1/2 zip hoodie and LOVING it! The sleeves are slightly long, as other reviews have mentioned, but not nearly as bad as I envisioned. I probably wouldn't have noticed it had I not read some of these reviews first. Overall length is good and it hits me right at the greater trochanter. Can't wait to try it out more! April 15, 2012
Love it I love how colorful this jacket is! I also really love how it keeps me warm even though it is not very thick. It holds up very well in rain and the material is good quality. The thumb holes are great and the sleeves are actually long enough for me to use them! This jacket fits a little more snug that I am used to from Columbia, but I much prefer this fit over past items I have purchased. April 12, 2012

Perfect fit! I purchased this jacket for my 16 year old daughter for Christmas and the size and fit are perfect for her! It's very warm for everyday use which is a good thing, but it wouldn't be warm enough for skiing. She likes the fact that it's warm but not bulky. December 28, 2011
Odd cut :-/ I tried to buy a Columbia jacket for my wife on two separate occasions and ended up returning both. While the quality is fantastic, and they are very warm, the cut is very odd... it's as if every jacket was meant to fit a woman with C or D cup breasts but tiny skinny arms... In other words, for a smaller woman, the arms fit great, but there's a lot of empty chest to the jacket, and for a woman with larger breasts, the arms are way too tight.I think Columbia makes a great product, just wish it fit someone... My Picky Daughter Loves It As the weather turned colder, I faced the daunting task of finding my 13 year-old daughter a winter coat that a) was not big and puffy, and b) did not restrict movement across the chest and back. And, of course, it had to be warm. I figured it to be an impossibility, but I am pleased and amazed that she has fallen in love with this soft shell. She doesn't feel constricted during everyday activities (think reaching across one's chest to grab a seatbelt) and the fitted shape is very attractive and feminine. Granted, it is only December and the worst winter weather is still to come, but she finds that this jacket keeps her very warm for day-to-day running around. The only quibble is that the arms are a bit too long, but that's to be expected when you are petite and have to order a size Large for chest circumference. December 19, 2011

Absolutely love, love, LOVE this jacket! First time ordering clothing online and I'm extremely pleased with everything. Columbia took no time in sending my products to me, I got them way before I expected. As far as the jacket goes I absolutely love it. It fits true to size, extremely comfortable, light weight and looks great! My hands always get cold so I love the cuffs with thumbholes. Not only is the jacket a perfect length but the arms length is as well. I use it for my errands jacket and it serves it's purpose. It keeps me warm for my use, although I wouldn't use it if I were to be out in the cold weather ALL day. After receiving it I ended up ordering a ton of the omni-heat accessories and am looking forward to using them. December 16, 2011

Lots of Looks! I absolutely love this jacket... I'm 5'2", 115lb and got the small in Compass Blue, which is a little big on me (sleeves are long for sure) but I anticipated being able to wear bulky sweaters or hoodies under it since it's only a soft shell. I'm sure if I got an XS it would fit better.The 3-key has been my go-to jacket when hopping on my scooter on 30 degree mornings! Definitely looking forward to testing this out on a sunny winter hike this season.Everyone loves the color and I get tons of compliments! Best part... thumb holes!!!! The Cut is very Odd I loved the look of this jacket but the cut was terrible. The sleeves are super long, but the cut around the shoulder and armpit is very very small, making it very uncomfortable and hard to move in. I thought maybe the cut was just wrong for me, but I had about 10 coworkers try it on, and it only fit one of them in the shoulders, even though in the rest of the jacket, many of them could have used a smaller size. I was definitely disappointed, and will be returning the jacket. November 4, 2011

I wish I was taller The jacket will be perfect this winter when I'm biking. I wish it came in petite. I'm 5' almost 1" and find that its longer than it should be on me. LOVE the interior cinch access in the pockets. LOVE the thumb holes to keep the sleeves down. LOVE that I won't gain 15 lbs this year because I'll be warm enough to stay active!! October 24, 2011
Love it... just not the washing intructions I really like this jacket, it does keep me warm (if I have a waterproof/windproof shell over top) but when I wear it alone on windy days I get a little chilly. It fits pretty snug but that's kinda what you want when you're cold. Next time I might think about getting a size up. October 11, 2011

LOVE THIS JACKET! I love this jacket! I got it in red and no matter where i go i get compliments. It fits very true to size, and is beyond comfortable. I haven't worn it through the winter yet, but its amazing for cool nights, and rainy days :) August 6, 2011
