Love it! Super light-weight and warm. I have this jacket plus a big bulky, knee-length "puffer" from another maker. But, this one is warmer and easier to pack. (I travel often for work so this is key for me and the primary reason I made the purchase.) If Columbia makes a mid-thigh length for next season, I'll be buying that one, too. (Hint, hint.) Be careful with your bracelets. The cuff liners are great for keeping out the wind but they will pull your bracelets off so be aware. April 24, 2013
Feathers show through! Unfortunately, the Wild Melon color has the same problem that so many others complained of. You can see the dark feathers straight through the fabric. I was soooo bummed because the jacket fit like it was made for me! I really, really wanted to keep the jacket but it looked filthy because of the gray spots that showed through the whole front of the jacket. Boo hoo. :-(PS. I ordered a Medium. I'm 5'11", 145lbs, have a shorter torso and long arms and it fit perfectly! I probably wouldn't have been able to fit a bulky sweatshirt under it though. March 19, 2013

Fashionable and Functional, this jacket has it all! Light weight, zipper closures, inside pockets, storage pouch included. I'm a freeze baby from the Great Northwest. This jacket keeps me toasty warm on those sub-zero, windy days. When I am indoors shopping, I can tuck my jacket away in the handy porch and throw it in my bag. Powerfly I got this jacket in Wild Melon. It fits perfectly! Not too bulky and very lightweight. The color is beautiful and it seems to keep me warm. I have received so many compliments. BUT...the dark feathers show through and make the jacket appear dirty! Very disappointing :( February 28, 2013
LIght as a feather I love this jacket. I bought it because so many people said the sleeves are long, and they are! But that is fantastic because they don't come up on your wrist when you put your hands out in front of you and I love that. I normally wear a med in my shirts so I bought medium and large to try them both and the medium fit like a glove. If I have a super bulky sweatshirt underneath it is a little too small, but for normal winter layers it is perfect. I love how well it stuffs into a small space in my suitcase and how light it is when I put it on. Good job Columbia, you got this one right. February 26, 2013
Excellent winter jacket It is amazingly warm in such light weight! I have alway been not so into down jackets as they make you look clumsy. But i noticed this one is particularly thin with high technology built in and I deciede to give it a shot. It worked out perfectly! I wore it during my whole ski trip with only a tshirt and cardigan inside and I felt warm the whole time! Incredible! Besides, the melon color is gorgeously stunning. Love love! February 15, 2013

My first Columbia Like the other reviews, the ice gray does come off a little "cheap" looking becuase you can seee the down through the top layer. I love the way it fits and am happy with the warmth despite it's super thin design. Overall, a great jacket. February 14, 2013

Hope it will be great When received, it fits great and looks great. It's a nice bright grass green. Then, I discovered a stripe across one sleeve of dark fabric or something inside. Nice jacket but too small This is a nicely made jacket but it runs a bit small. I bought a medium for my wife but it was fairly snug on her with not enough room for any layering underneath. She is not a Large in any type of apparel. I recommend the jacket but keep in mind it runs small. February 7, 2013

function and fashion This jacket is on. looks great and fits great cut for a women. Runs small I bought this jacket as a Christmas gift for my wife. I ordered a large since she recently lost 74lbs...she couldn't even close it to zipper it up. her current size is a medium top. Had to be returned. January 12, 2013
It's like a toaster! Warm on the inside, sleek on the outside. This jacket is the BEST! First of all, the wild melon color is what drew me to it-- LOVE! When I tried it on at the PDX store, I was sold! But the few days after the holidays when it was in the 20s and I was as warm as could be without any bulk is what has me writing this review. We went for a hike and everyone kept asking me "are you going to be warm enough in just that?" I figured the only way to know was try. Not only was I warm enough, but the way the fabric breathes I was never too warm. It was a great trial run. And, for the daring, I say wear it inside out--- that inside fabric is fashion forward!! Looks Great, Not Warm Enough I bought this for my fiancé and she loves the style, color and the way it fits, but it simply doesn't keep her torso warm enough in 0 to 7 C weather with a shirt, sweater and scarf underneath.She wanted to keep it clean so she only wore it in clean, non-dusty cities; yet, the cuffs still got slightly dirty, perhaps to be expected with an almost-white jacket, but she's extremely clean and careful and it was only a week of use at this point. Yellow is see-through I like this jacket but the fit doesn't work for me. The M was too tight under the arms & across the hips & chest while the sleeves were too long.I tried the large, and the body fit better, but it still pinched under the arms and the sleeves were of course even longer.They were out of the Sea grape in L so I tried the yellow. When I took it out of the box, I thought I'd already gotten dirty fingerprints all over it. But when I looked closer, I saw that it was the darker down feathers showing through.I didn't want a jacket that always looked dirty as well as not fitting properly, so I'm returning it and also giving up on this jacket altogether. :( January 1, 2013

Did not like color I got this in Ice Grey and did not like the color. The coloring almost looked like it had bled out in the creases like tie-dye. I could also see through the material (I don't think the other colors would do this) and see the feather outlines which I thought made it look cheap. Sizing was accurate as I usually wear medium and the medium fit nicely. Jacket was warm when I tried it on, but was not quite what I was looking for in a "poofy" jacket. December 26, 2012
No bulk, stylish and incredibly warm This is the BEST jacket. I live in Minnesota and it is pretty cold, but this jacket keeps me toasty. It has so much less bulk than my ski wear that it is my jacket of choice for commuting or going out. It also looks great. I have had several people come by my cubicle at work just to look at this jacket and see how light weight it is. And I get lots of compliments when wearing it. I love the bright yellow color because the bus driver can see me standing at the stop. I can't say enough good things about it. It's worth the money. Get one. December 17, 2012

Excellent Jacket. I recieved this jacket in less than 24 hrs & was shocked because of the Holiday rush. It's extremely light but very warm, even with a t-shirt on. I don't like anything bulky especially w/I drive. I love this jacket. I would highly recomment this jacket. I also read a comment from another buyer who stated that all the feathers started to come out. I've had this jacket for a couple of weeks now, and I haven't seen one feather come through yet.I shopped all over for the right jacket. I'm extremely happy w/my choice. Thank you Columbia. Not worth the price I had a down vest that I got at JCP 10 years ago for 50 bucks that keeps me warmer. It has only been in the high 30s low 40s here lately, and I have still felt chilled wearing it. The color looks different online than in reality. The omni shield works wonders though! Just a little soap water on a sponge takes most spills right off November 3, 2012
best jacket I own I just love this jacket. It's warm, without being stuffy and it looks good. My favorite feature though is the hidden cuff in the sleeves of the jackets. No wind or snow is going to blow up your arm. November 2, 2012
like putting on a pillow made for your body very comfy, but it is already smelly! I am a biker and I wanted a down coat for it's non-synthetic breathability. Even though the down is "all natural" the inside gets HOT AND SWEATY! Maybe would be good with armpit breathers? I want a coat that is warm enough and breathable enough for winter biking...On the up side, it is so cozy and comfortable AND WARM when sitting around the cold house! arms are long, body is great size! Super warm and lightweight I live in the San Francisco Bay area so don't often deal with the brutal cold, but quite frequently am surprised by gusts of cold wind or a blanket of fog creeping in, even in the summer. I wanted a lightweight non-bulky packable coat that I could carry with me that would keep me toasty when needed- this jacket does just that. I love it. It's warm without being bulky, so it still looks fitted and I feel like myself. The handy stuff sack is great too. I am 5'4" and about 105 lbs and I debated if I should buy the XS or the Small. I went with the XS and am happy I did. It's still roomy enough for me to wear over a light sweater. If you plan on wearing bulky layers underneath, keep the sizing in mind. August 13, 2012

How to measure
- Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
- Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
- Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
- Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
