Women’s Silver Ridge™ Straight Leg Pant 3.6 5 8 8
very light weight and perfect for long legs very comfortable and stylish looking April 16, 2012
Too Long!!! I have 2 pair of silver ridge shorts that I bought in 2010. I love them. Thus, I was very excited to get the silver ridge pants. However, the pants are WAY TOO LONG. I have normal legs, but these went about 3-4 inches past my ankles. And, because of the zippers and draw strings, you cannot hem them. Also, I found the waist on these way tighter than the size 2 in my silver ridge shorts. I am 5'6" and weigh 115 pounds and the size too was too tight in the waist and way too long in the leg. I am surprised that Columbia does not make a short inseam for the smaller sizes. Very disappointed. April 7, 2012
Great function, not great fit. I love the color and the lightweight, functional fabric. The small cargo zip pocket is the perfect place to keep a key (or anything else) safe. The zips at the ankle allow for fit over hiking boots. Unfortunately, they do not fit in the way that I expected. They are too loose around the waist but somewhat snug around the hips and butt. Also, they are longer than I expected, which would be fine for casual wear. For hiking, I find it annoying that they drop past my shoes. I wish they had a built-in belt so that I could adjust the waist. I'm 5'6" and usually a size 6, though I ordered up because the reviews said that they ran small. These pants will fit you well if you have a straight figure. March 15, 2012
Evaluation depends on your body and activities The pants just arrived today. Fabric is heavier that the past pair of Silveridge I purchased. I am 5'6" and have short legs. The pants extended about 5 inches past my normal hem. The waist is the new style, and sits lower on the hips. I don't mind if it is just below the waist, but I don't care for how low this sits on me. I generally wear a 14 or a 16 depending on fabric and manufacturer. In LLBean I wear a 16 comfortably. This fits similarly to LL Bean, except I think the rise was a bit shorter, making it not as comfortable for me. I am disappointed in the fit, as I really like the Silveridge pants i purchased last year. February 23, 2012
Highly functional pants. These pants are pretty much the pinnacle of clothing technology. They stretch where they are supposed to stretch, and have pockets where they are supposed to have pockets. When carrying content such as a phone, it does not interfere with movement. Materials allow for excellent temperature regulation. There is also just enough room to wear these pants with a thin poly-pro layer underneath. January 7, 2012
Just right! Great pants! The biggest selling point for me was the belt loops for when I want to where hip waders. They have far exceeded my expectations, they are cool and comfy, they have been very durable - and my job puts me through some thick brush. They even look good, I often get asked why I have dress pants on for field work. I don't need the zippers at the ankles but they don't really bother me. October 30, 2011
Great design with size issues I have purchased several Columbia pants of various styles. The materiel and design are funtional and attractive. I am pleased with the comfort level of my clothing. They fit well in the waist and leg. However I am disapointed that each pair of pants is 2 - 3 inches too long. Ankle zippers and drawstrings (which have limited functionality anyway) make hemming these difficult. These were not even the "long" pants. When I put on a comperable style and size in a competator, I do not have the lenth issue. October 5, 2011
Love these! Look great even when dirty. Breatheable and rip resistant. Great for hiking in low, wet brush. Also wear them for running errands, walking, etc. June 16, 2011
