Great baselayer Amazing quality and functionality! Perfect for those early morning rides in the spring April 30, 2013
LOVE it Lightweight, stretchy, good quality;I love the design which has color cut-outs on the waist which make you look slimmer AND curvy at the same time.I also love the shiny inside it looks so cool when you take it off after your warm up.I wish I bought more in other colors. February 23, 2013
Perfect Baselayer I love this baselayer line from Columbia. I have three of the colors in both the tops and bottoms and love them. They run long enough in the sleeves for my long frame (I'm 5'8") and fits snug enough under clothes not to make you look bulky. I highly recommend this product. January 18, 2013
awesome I already owned one (black) I loved it so much I purchased the white. They keep me warm in mild conditions, and much warmer if I layer with a great jacket. They fit wonderful, I love the finger holes, and the zip. It's a very flattering fit. I wear it also all by itself. We love to ride our motorcycle, and this baselayer keeps me happy. January 18, 2013
SIze/chaffing I found this to run small and therefore chaffs under the front area of the armpit areas where the flat lock stitching is (tight mostly there). I also thought it would be heavier for the price, but is quite thin (hard to tell in the photos). Really not to wear by itself - as the white is fairly see-through. January 13, 2013
great for cross country skiing This is my second mid-weight baselayer with Omni-heat. They are perfect for nordic skiing. They are light enough to make for easy layering under a soft shell. Not at all binding so allows for free movement. I may have to get at least one more! January 12, 2013
Best first layer EVER! We spend a lot of time in the cold, wind and snow and this baselayer is my new favorite! I tend to run cold and felt PERFECTLY warm wearing only this top and the tights under my snow bibs and winter coat. I am also a nursing mother and so chose this zip top to allow for feeding the baby when we are outside. It worked! The zip opening combined with stretchyness of the fabric allowed me to nurse without pulling up all my warm cozy layers. Super great bonus! January 2, 2013
Women's baselayer midweight lng sleeve 1/2 zip Light, very warm and I can feel the material breath when I wear it. December 31, 2012
Best base layer with thumb holes I've tried I rated this true to size, but the truth is, I bought a size larger than I needed -- I'm skinny and my arms are long. The thumb holes *just* make it, but they do make it. I can comfortably wear this garment with thumb holes for brief periods of time. The underarms stay in place when I wear the thumb holes, so it serves as a true base layer. I can't say the same for other baselayers with thumb holes I've tried. The bodice is a little large and floppy because I had to compensate for my arms. I can deal with that. It actually would have helped to know how long garment is from thumbs to armpit, or shoulder to wrist/fingertips (a more standard measurement). However, I couldn't have gotten another size up, it would've been just too big.I LOVE the omni heat feature, and the fabric is soft. The zip is also fairly comfortable. I'd love to see the thumbholes without the zip (crew or mock would work). It wasn't possible, at least when I purchased.Overall though, this stands to become my favourite baselayer! December 30, 2012
Looks great I pick this up for my wife, she looks great in it and she love's it. December 21, 2012
itchy silver dots, but really keep warm well This provides wamrth very well, but the silver dots made me itchy on my sensitive and dry skin. It would be better if I have something underneath this baselayer, but it is a bit funny that this baselayer requires another baselayer to prevent me from getting itchiness. Anyway, I still ended up returning this because I ordered a white and it came in with a stain at the left breast. Since it's white, it's so noticeable. It's not the first time I received stained products, and usually happened on white items. Dear Columbia, please be careful when handling white items. December 11, 2012
Great Product! I love this product! It runs very true to size, is extremely versatile, comfortable, and keeps me the perfect temperature! It reflects my heat in keeping me warm, yet allows for breathability. You are kept at the perfect temperature. They are extremely comfortable, I can wear them as baselayers for the cold, just as a shirt, or even to bed. I love these and would highly recommend them!!! December 11, 2012
Good base layer with novel technology This shirt was purchased for a trip up north for Thanksgiving. When it was tried on, we determined it was a bit snug. We exchanged it for the next largest size and used it in New York. It worked well. November 29, 2012
Long sleeve 1/2 zip top Fits great, feels great, looks great. Keeps me warm without any bulk. I highly recommend it. And it washes up beautifully. October 26, 2012
Wonderful product! LOVE LOVE LOVE. It's the perfect midweight top. You sweat, but stay dry. Love the thumb inserts on the sleeves. October 21, 2012
A great layer for adventures This shirt is a great baselayer for snowy activities like skiing, ice climbing, cold weather climbing, and snowshoeing. It keeps me warm, but breathes well so I don't get clammy and cold. I also wear it alone when I'm trail running, climbing, or nordic skiing and it is chilly out.The torso cut is nice and long so I can tuck it into my pants to keep snow and breezy breezes from getting next to my skin. The thumb holes are nice and smooth so there are no pressure points when I put gloves on over them. The fabric and silver dots also stand up to wear and washing. The dots are still there with no threat of coming off thus far. The fabric doesn't snag easily and isn't pilling. September 27, 2012
Whistler in March I bought this top along with the pants for my trip to Whistler in March. I was impressed with how warm it kept this Florida girl in the freezing temps and epic snow! No mid layer was necessary. The top fit true to size and was quite comfortable to wear. Although it was thin, it was warm and great quality. I would buy another set in a heartbeat. March 12, 2012
great for skiing and flyfishing I love this product ... especially the thumb holes ... my wrists were warm for the first time this winter skiing. and plan to use it this summer flyfishing on alpine lakes ... March 11, 2012
Ideal! Kept me warm all the way! Loved the zipper! February 24, 2012
Great! Both the baselayer midweight top and bottom are, as usual for Columbia, a great product. Perfect for skiing, running,, or hiking in cool weather. If it's below 25, I would recommend the heavier weight. February 13, 2012
It met all my expectations I purchased this baselayer to play tennis in on very cold days in the unheated building I play in. When you are in the heat of the point you do sweat but the shirt transferrs the moisture away from your skin so you don't get chilled in between points. I do plan on wearing it anytime I need an extra layer of warmth without bulk. Great shirt! February 1, 2012
Good fit and stylish Love the fit and light weight feel of the fabric. January 19, 2012
Stay Warm! I've been looking for new base layers that provide more warmth than a lightweight layer but aren't bulky. This is the answer. I love the top and bottoms. They fit great and keep me warm w/o making me feel like the kid in A Christmas Story who cannot put his arms down! I've worn them skiing in Colorado and hiking in Homer, Alaska, and they stand up to the test. December 24, 2011
My expectations were high and almost met I was pretty excited to try this product. I purchased the zip top with tights. I thought the fit was true to size. I am 5'5 and weigh 130. I purchased a small top and fits great, not too tight. Tighter in the upper chest, arms and shoulders, with some room in the waste area. Very stretchy and could be worn with a gain or loss of weight give or take 10-15 pounds I think. The temperature outside this morning was around 13 degrees. Originally I planned to run in just the tights and top, but later turned around and went home to get more clothes. It defiantly is a base layer (as marketed) and not to be worn in freezing temps alone. I added a tech long sleeve shirt and running shorts and still felt coldish for most of the 8 miles or 1 hour I was outside, but comfortable. The ability to reflect body heat was not as apparent as I hoped. However at times I felt an almost "icy hot feeling" as the cold air entered and was converted to heat? Not sure. However, interesting to note, when sedentary, I almost notice the heat reflect ability much more noticeably, I think more than any other similar long sleeve shirt without the omni heat ability. So I think it works, just not so much with cold air entering through the material. So a protective outer shell with this base layer is probably optimal. It is very comfortable to run in and the fabric and quality is excellent.Aside from running, it think it is flattering. I think I might turn it inside out and wear in warmer conditions. The silver lining is unique and looks cool.It did well with sweat, however, under the cold conditions, I don't think I sweated too much.I think it runs a little too expensive. I would not have been as pleased with the product if I had not received it for a discount. For what I paid ($38), it performed great.Overall, I am happy with the product simply for a base layer, comfort, and style. December 23, 2011
high tech breathability This shirt is thinner than I expected but works perfectly as a base layer. It fits a little tighter under the arms than I like but is still comfortable for running, hiking and other exercise. Also I wish the collar would lay flatter when unzipped. However neither of these concerns outweighs the coolness factor of the remarkable lining. Because of its breathability this shirt alone won't keep you toasty warm if you are just sitting around, but it will reduce the bulk and possibly the number of layers you'll need to use on a cold outdoor run. December 16, 2011
Tight raglan sleeve shouldrers Very disappointed in this base layer top. Raglan sleeve shoulders were tight. Material was not as supple as expected. Actual color/fabric was ugly unless you are a teen. December 12, 2011
Great running shirt! I have two girls who run track and play soccer. This shirt is a great single layer or base layer under a sweatshirt for their athletics. LOVE IT! December 12, 2011
Excellent base - plus thumb holes! Highly recommend this baselayer. I LOVE it for running - in colder temps, I wear as a base with a thicker fleece. Wicks the sweat and keeps me warm even on longer runs without adding bulk. I also wore it in September while hiking 14ers in CO. Favorite part - the thumb holes! December 10, 2011
I really like! I wore top and bottom during the 2011 WI deer hunting season, 10 days straight, 12 hrs/day. I washed it every other day by hand and hung to dry near a wood stove and kept it's shape and fit. Wicking ability was great! Both pieces are extremely comfortable. No itchy, bulky seams, riding up/down nor irritating zipper at neck.I'm not convinced I was warmer but the temperature range was warm, 22 - 36 degree F so it wasn't a good test for me. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. December 2, 2011
Great for running Tested this top out on my run the other day in 42 degree weather. Started out freezing since I just wore this as a running top, but once I warmed up, it kept me nice and comfortable throughout (I get really hot while running). Gave nice flexibility all over and the thumbholes were a great add to keep my hands warm. Would use this as a base in colder temperatures. It also does run a little small. I'm 5'5" and 120lbs. I usually wear a small, but decided to go for the medium for a bit of a looser feel. November 18, 2011
Great Base Layer I agree that this runs small. I wear a 6 or 8 and the medium was too small. The large fits me well and I am very pleased with the performance. I wear it around the house a lot because I hate bulky sweatshirts and this keeps me warm. Great under a jacket for dog walking too. October 22, 2011
A good bottom layer This is the perfect fit for a first layer. It's snug and warm and great for warming up in! October 17, 2011
I love my Baselayer This fits just how a baselayer should close to the body to help keep the heat it. I can definitively feel the difference with the omniheat I wear an extra small and Columbia usually runs big on me but this is great! August 10, 2011
Tight around arms I'm a basic XL, not fat, just big. While I love the style, the arms were amazingly tight for the entire length. It was also very snug around the chest and waist, and not suitable for wearing without a vest or some cover over it. Not willing to "bare it all". August 2, 2011
