The upper is constructed with durable Nubuck and split suede leather with rustproof speed hooks for a secure fit. Inside, comfort comes first with a contoured EVA footbed, lightweight molded midsole and 200 grams of Thinsulate® insulation for a rating of -25º below zero. Road-hugging traction is provided by a non-marking, dual-density Omni-Grip® outsole, which is designed specifically for the demands of winter weather.

Bugaboot Omni-Heat I am very satisfied with this boot. I have suffered severe frostbite of my feet and have always had trouble finding anything to keep my feet warm. I have farm animals that keep me outdoors for hours a day and cut wood besides, so the need for good footwear is critical. When I combine silk liners and smartwool socks, I am able to be outdoors for relatively long periods (2-3 hours at a time) even in severe cold and not jeopardize my feet - that's a big deal! A bonus feature is how slip resistant the boot is - definitely a plus when you are running a chainsaw... I would recommend this boot. February 27, 2011
I was replacing another pair of Columbia boots that served me well for years. It is a good product. The only negative I have is that it is about 1" higher than necessary. Models that I prefered that were not as high were out of stock in stores and on line. January 13, 2012
Keep toes warm Ladies, buy the men's boot if you~ really~ want to have warm feet. The toe vault in the women's size is too tight so I bought men's and am so glad I did.If your toes can't move they won't be warm. Check out my review there. December 2, 2011
Great Boot Ater several winters of suffering through cold, damp feet, I made myself sit down and do some research on a real winter boot. I finally ordered these when I decided they were going to be the best boot for my money and would be something I could keep warm in while playing in the snow with my son. The boots arrived very quickly, and were exactly what I had ordered. The only thing that keeps me from giving these boot 5 stars is the bulk. These are rather large for a ladies boot (I would actually compare them to some of the hunting boots my husband has), but aside from that, a great boot. I haven't tried them out in the snow yet, but while wearing them around trying to break them in, my feet were extremely warm. They have a GREAT tread/sole so I'm sure they'll keep me from slipping around. Also, the sides are very supportive, a must for someone with weak ankles like myself! November 14, 2011
cannot wear I bought these boots last year because I love Columbia products. The back of these boots are so stiff that I cannot walk in them. They dig into the back of my calf. I wish I had taken them back but I thought I could walk around in the house and break them in. November 13, 2011
Looking forward to these boots this winter The only reason I didn't give the boots 5 stars was because I haven't tried them in the snow only because it hasn't snowed in anchorage yet. Otherwise they feel great. I ordered a size 7 which will fit snugly with a pair of thick socks, I usually wear a 6.5 to 7.5 in shoes. October 23, 2011
always a perfect fit! One of the many reasons I always love Columbia boots is that the fit is always true, right out of the box. No uncomfortable break in period. I went hiking the weekend after all the flooding here in NY state, and forded a considerably swollen stream, and my feet were dry and comfortable. I'll have to wait until the winter and snowshoeing to see how warm my feet will be, but I would recommend these boots without hesitation! September 25, 2011
Best Winter Boot I Have Ever Owned These boots run true to size. I wear a size 10.5 and these are just right. Comfort from toe to heel. Love these for winter walking and sledding. Recomended to all July 6, 2011
Uncomfortable the material is good and strong but the shape and strength of the back keep running my leg till a bloody blister appeared. I hope it will get softer with time because as funny as it may sound, it's painful wearing these boots! April 6, 2011
Love these boots! I bought these to replace a pair of titantium ice boots that were about seven years old. These are very similar. I bought a half size larger than my usual size and they were perfect with thicker socks. They did feel a bit stiff when I first put them on, but I wore them all day without problems. They are warm, waterproof and comfortable. April 5, 2011

Very Comfortable Boot Really nice boot for the cold Minnesota winters. I found it to run a bit small. I wear 9.5 to 10.0 with a narrow foot. Ordered 10.5 and wear inserts. Enough room for heavy socks and toes aren't cramped. March 16, 2011
Great Boots! I owned an original pair of Bugaboots that finally wore out. I decided to replace them with the Omni-Heat. I ordered the same size as my old pair (9) where I generally wear an 8 and they fit great. I live on 9.5 acres and we raise boer goats. I wear the boots every morning to feed and whenever I'm out working with the goats when I need warmth and comfort. I didn't have a "break-in" period either. Was able to wear them all day long. They keep my feet dry and warm. Would definitely recommend them. March 12, 2011
My fabulous new boots! I love my new boots they are super warm and they keep my feet dry! I trust Columbia more than any other brand Columbia is the brand Ive used for years mostly the coats this year I needed boots and I found the bugaboots. Awesome I live in New England and wish I had discovered these boots sooner.I ride snowmobiles and love these boots nice and warm and very true to size figured I would get a half size bigger for thicker socks and honestly don't need thick socks at all! March 2, 2011

Be sure to go up 1/2 size I own a pair of columbia summer/lightweight trekking shoes and they are 9-1/2. So, I ordered the same size in these and they are too short. I'm sure the 10 will be fine. I generally wear 10 in athletic shoes. They seem great otherwise. February 18, 2011

Fantastic! Just what I needed. I bought these to replace a previous pair of Columbia boots. I was so confident that they would fit well and be comfortable that I bought them online...and I was not disappointed! Very comfy, very warm. In fact, I was surprised at how warm they keep my feet. Whether I'm working on my farm, responding to a fire call for the VFD or just snowshoeing or winter walking, I love these boots! They easily withstand the extra hard wear I put them through. Love them and the matching jacket! I love these boots.The quality and warmth are amazing. I wore them for 8 hours the day after I recieved them at Keystone - while my family skiied. My feet were dry, warm and cushined- they fit perfectly. I will agree with a previous review that they did rub against the back of my calves, however no marks were left and it only began to be noticable at the end of our full day at the ski resort. I also got the FABULOUS Bugaboo jacket that matches these cream/grey boots as well and that gets 6 satrs!!! January 28, 2011
Uncomfortable I was excited when my boots came in the mail because they were so cute.These were a replacement of an older version of this boot. The first time I wore them I was terribly disappointed because they made big red welts on the back of my calves. They were very stiff and hard to walk in. I wore big, thick, knee socks to help protect my calfs but it still didn't help. I tried to break them in but they hurt so bad I couldn't. I never had this issue with the previous pair. They did keep my feeet warm but were too painful to walk in. Luckily, Columbia has outstanding customer service and replaced my boots. They were fabulous!! I would definitely purchase things from Columbia again because they had such great customer service and that is rare these days!! January 25, 2011

Super warm boot! My daughter and I purchased the same boot,same size, different colors. They arrived just in time to wear them to our annual Sled Dog Race we sponsor. My toes were warm!! Great Boot for Average Winter Adventures! My boots just arrived and I immediately took them on a dog walk to test them out. In deep snow, ice, and now rain on top of all that, these boots were great! They didn't have as much insulation as I was expecting so any activities where I'm not moving around my feet would probably get cold. However, the trade off is that these boots are pretty light and the sole bends better than the North Face boots I was also considering. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8, so I got these in an 8 and they fit perfectly with heavy winter socks. For walking around in nasty winter weather, these are great boots for the price! January 18, 2011

Love these boots! I actually wear them all day....and most days if on my feet 17hrs or more! I work in an airport so I do lots of walking and they are just that comfortable to wear all day. My feet don't get really hot and sweaty and I'm in Minnesota where there is 18in of snow and 22 below wind chills......they are worth the money! December 29, 2010
I bought these for my wife for christmas We went out to a Dicks Sporting Goods to try on several boots for my wife for Christmas gift. At this store they didn't sell this omni boot in half sizes and it did run small. So we gambled and bought these boots on line a half size bigger and it payed off. Not Worth the Hype I went to the Chicago Bears game this past weekend (against the Pats) and needed a pair of boots that would withstand the Chicago cold. Recently, I purchased an omni-heat jacket and was beyond happy with the performance so I decided to try out the boots.Bad idea. The boots are fine if you are walking around and generating heat but for prolonged time outside I would not recommend them. It was between 5 and 10 degrees F that night and by halftime I couldn't feel my toes (while wearing thick snowboarding socks). Furthermore, the back of the boot is very stiff. After wearing them a few more times this week on my commute to work (I have to walk 5 block from the el) the back of my calves have a swollen bumps and are very sore from the boots rubbing against that area. Love them... but not perfect I am a very avid outdoorswoman from northern Wisconsin... I wore these hunting and I froze my feet off!!! (With the windchill it was only about 4 degrees F.) The next day I wore a pair of heated socks and they were perfect. We will see how they work for ice racing in the dead of a Wisconsin winter!((One review said they are a bit stiff... Warm but too rigid for comfort I too at first thought these boots were comfy and warm until I wore them out for a walk. They were pretty stiff and felt like I was trying to walk with down hill ski boots on. They were toasty warm though. November 16, 2010
