Nice shorts, but they do run small just like the other reviewer said - i bought these shorts and the willowdale shorts - and these run at least one size small. they are going back. I still recommend them, because if they fit me, I would keep them.. good thing columbia is good on returns May 2, 2012

Perfect go anywhere shorts Needed to update my everyday (walking, hiking, gardening, traveling) shorts. I'm 5'4", 129 lbs. Looked to Columbia because of quality and fit. I bought 2 different pairs, the Crossroads and the Willowdale II, both size 6. The shorts were a great summer weight and very well made. Neither pair fit so I returned them for size 8's. Perfect fit on both, and they both washed up very well. The product and customer service is why I always trust Columbia. April 28, 2012

sizing is way off I love the style of these shorts, but returned them. I ordered a 12, since I own a pair of Columbia shorts wear them almost everyday. These fit me like I ordered a size 8. Couldn't even button them. Sorry, but I refuse to order a size 16. April 17, 2012

How to measure

Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
