Like swimming barefoot Amazing! Out of the seven water shoes I own, definitely the lightest and best looking--they drained so well it was literally like swimming barefoot. They also repel dirt like a magnet. Love love love them! December 5, 2011
best water shoe I've owned Hello. I am a marine biologist who spends all day in and out of the water. I have been wearing these for about 3 weeks now and love them! They are comfortable and do not rub my feet raw (a real concern I had about a pair that looked like tennis shoes). They so far do not have any smell from not wearing socks, which is wonderful. They drain excellently; however, even when the shoe is dry my feet stay slightly damp for sometime after being out of the water. I just have to take them off for a minute then I'm fine. Other than that I have no other problems!As for size, most shoes I'm a 7 1/2, but I bought an 8 in these because my foot measured that on their size chart. Just use the size chart they have online and you'll be fine June 14, 2013
MUST HAVE! I teach kayaking and canoeing to kids....these shoes are now a requirement for my staff. They are by far the best and most comfortable water shoe I've ever owned.They dry great and don't smell.Transition beautifully from water to land allowing us to only pack one pair of shoes. Great water aerobic shoe Just joined our YMCA for water aerobics and these shoes are great. They are not slick walking on the wet floors around the pool. I do have to tie in a double knot to keep from coming untied in the pool. Have had lots of compliments on them as well. February 19, 2013
Useful shoe Like the shoes, should have gone a full size smaller. I would have liked. They are almost slip proof. Walked in the rain forest in Costa Rica and had great traction every time. Not sure if the water drains out but I really like the shoe. February 10, 2013
Amazing! I purchased the white and grey shoes a couple months ago, and I wear them all the time! Their purpose as a water shoe does just that (even though when you step in a small puddle, the water will get in your shoe, even when you would rather have the shoe repel the water in that case)! The only complaint I have now is that most of the colors are not being sold right now! And my current Drainmakers have gotten very dirty, and soap and water seems to do nothing to get the dirt out. Other than that, it is a great shoe for anyone! January 17, 2013

AWESOME WATER SHOES I LOVE these shoes. I swim everyday at my gym and I do water aerobics and these shoes are AWESOME. They are VERY light but yet they are super supportive and comfortable. The perfect river hiking shoe!! I went hiking in waterfalls and rivers with the Drainmaker (in cool grey and chartreuse). These shoes are amazing!! They had a great grip on the rocky river floor, very flexible - moves with you, drained as described, and dried quickly. They looked stunning too. I can't recommend these enough. I wish they had cool shoes like this for everyday non-water wear :). I usually take an 8.5 in shoes, but got an 8 since you don't use socks in these shoes and they fit perfectly! August 4, 2012
Excellent Wonderful shoes. I bought these to wear on a regular basis in place of rain boots or Chacos. I also wanted a shoe that wasn't bulky, and that I could wear for hours at a time. Based on other reviews, I went down half a size since I'll be wearing them without socks (socks would defeat their intention). The draining ability is accurate and comical- the first thing I did when they came in the mail was pour water in them. They fit great but a bit loose in the toe area. It feels great when the wind blows due to the shoe's breathable design. Love the color, too. July 23, 2012

Great shoe I wore this shoe over the weekend for the first time. Very comfortable! The company description of the shoe is right on target. They are durable and had really good traction walking up and down a rocky hillside and into the lake. The only little complaint I have is with the shoe strings not staying tied in the water. I will be looking for some "bungie" type strings to put in them before the next trip. June 25, 2012
Great Shoes!! This is my 2nd pair of Drainmakers (I'd like to get every color). These shoes are awesome and I don't even use them in the water. I work 8-10 hours daily on a concrete floor and I don't know what I did before my Drainmakers. Their light weight, cool, & comfortable. I throw them in the wash and they clean nicely & are dry in no time. When I'm not working, I live in flip flops so I don't have very high arches.....these shoes are perfect for that!! Great ! Definitelly water style shoes. I like te mesh on the front that gives plenty of " respiration " to your feet and allows it to dry quickly. Im not sure how would that work on heavy duty trails ( but they do have another style that looks 'harder' and thicker on the front. Definitelly good grip as well and light. I thought it was tiny bit too big but them also when people hike or walk for several hours your feet tend to swallow so I think this was a great buy !! April 29, 2012

Great Water Fitness Shoes! These water fitness shoes are lightweight, and DO NOT slip when you're in the pool. They are slightly larger than I expected, but not so much that I wanted to exchange them for the next smaller size. The only problem I've had is that the laces were constantly coming untied in the water. Double-knotting them has seemed to have solved the problem. I wear them for water class twice a week for an hour and, other than the laces problem, I'm very happy with these shoes. Thanks, Columbia! February 28, 2012
Love them! I bought these shoes last-minute before a backpacking trip to mexico and belize. I was looking for something lightweight that could get wet, but also a decent walking shoe. It was the best purchase I could have made!I walked around mexico city in them for 3 days, hiked the jungle in them, and went swimming and biking and rafting in them. They are comfortable, completely dry within hours, and you can wash them in the washing machine and they're good as new. All I needed for such a versatile trip was these and a pair of flip flops. I recommend these to anyone who wants a lightweight shoe to use for a variety of outdoor activities. December 2, 2011

I'm in love!!!! I brought my first pair of Drainmakers in blue. I was not too sure about the fit and comfort until I got them home and put them on. I have large feet (12W). Sam's Drainmaker experience I really like this product for bodies of water without sand. I have used them on lakes and rivers and it helped me to walk through these waters more confident. It gave me the right amount of traction that allowed me to walk through water at the pace I wanted rather than a weary awkward walk. I have used them on the ocean. I didn't like this as much because it kept the sand in. This is the nature of sand though. September 2, 2011

Awesome Water Shoe! I love this shoe for exactly what it's made for; draining water! Light weight, comfortable, and good looking. Unfortunately, I had to get my third choice of color, because of "dirty/darker" waters that I'm in. Would have preferred white/silver, or the light blue, but due to cost I could only get one pair.......so, I chose the darker color. I'm totally satisfied with the performance of this shoe! Women's Drainmaker review These shoes are highly comfortable. I wore them on a fishing trip and also on a rafting/kayaking trip. Excelled in everything with the exception of drying really fast. Ok shoe I was very excited about this shoe especially since I purchased it to use it on a hike that is pretty much along the ocean for most of the way. Water yes does come out, but the sand remains inside and can get very uncomfortable, so uncomfortable that it gave me a blister on the last 2 miles of my 25 mile backpacking trip. Overall a decent shoe, I ended up getting a 9.5 and the fit runs a bit big but it worked. July 5, 2011
Great shoe for kayaking. Water really drains out fast and the shoe dries fast, it's very light weight. But not good for sand, it doesn't drain out with the water. The shoe runs a little large and laces up a little to high but I still like it. July 5, 2011
Washing The Competiton Down The Drain!! These shoes are awesome!! I bought them for a white water rafting trip we took to Gatlinburg. I had never been white water rafting before and wanted some cool water shoes. The Drainmakers were great! They have great traction and are really comfortable! They do however run a little large so if you're going to order them I would buy one size smaller than what you would normally wear. This goes for men's Drainmakers too. I bought a pair for my boyfriend to take on the trip as well. They also make a great everyday shoe,I am on my feet all day at work so I wear them quite often. ok shoes are great, would be even better if they were slip-ons. I wear them as gardening shoes and have to take them off every time I come in the house and tying and untying is bothersome, so I don't wear them as often as I could. But they keep my feet dry and are not at all slippery, easy to clean: just spray water on them, quick to dry, too. June 21, 2011

Women's Drainmaker is a dream! This is the most comfortable, best fitting, light-weight, water shoe I have ever worn. And I loved my Keen's. Keeps feet dry and not soggy and never a blister or rub. MY NEW FAVORITE SHOES These are awesome shoes that I bought as alternatives to nike frees. They weigh practically nothing, are super breathable. The sole does not offer much cushion (which is probably perfect for water) but I use these shoes during long 8 hour shifts of retail. With an added insole and socks these are the perfect shoes. I have gotten a ton of compliments of the color scheme/shoes (grey, teal and raspberry) but I am thinking about getting them in purple too.... THANKS COLUMBIA! June 10, 2011

Great hybrid of a water and a running shoe I wore these shoes backpacking up a canyon where it was easier to walk in the water in some places than to to try to avoid it. I was able to slosh through the water without the shoes and then continue on the dry sections without my feet ever feeling water logged. The shoes dried shortly after I got to camp; so I didn't really need the extra shoes I carried in with me. June 5, 2011

Drainmaker just a bit big.... Ordered this online for a river rafting trip scheduled for July, so not sure how they will function. I usually wear a 6.5 for a sport shoe, but this is not the case with the Drainmaker as it apeears to run a bit longer. Lookes good, though. We'll see how it performs in July. May 22, 2011

Nice light weight shoe! I ordered these as a backup pair of shoes while travelling. These are light, easy to pack, and look sharp for a casual walk around town. I took one star away because while these are a boat shoe with the main purpose of protecting feet and draining water, I wish there was a little more arch support. Love this shoe!! This was a total impulse buy for me. I did purchase the purple, which has gone with my entire closet. The shoe is super light and I need that due to being on my feet for 6-9 hours a day. The only thing that I don't like about the shoe are the laces. INVISIBLE SHOE Slip theseon and you don't know you're wearing them because they are so light and comfortable. Get them wet and 5 minutes later, they are dry. Amazing technology allows them to drain and not cause wet soggy feet that attracts all sorts of nasty foot problems. Wear these anywhere there is a chance of getting wet feet, i.e., fishing, boating, beach walking, swimming in rocky bottom areas, etc. April 5, 2011
