We’ve outfitted the Jet Stratus with an Omni-Tech® waterproof-breathable coating that simultaneously stops moisture and disperses excess interior heat. To create a truly action-ready shell, we’ve integrated stretch throughout for maximum mobility and freedom of movement. The attached storm hood features a bonded brim to keep the rain off your face and drawcord adjustability for move-with-you functionality. Waterproof zip-closed pockets are clean and discreet, and a waterproof front zipper provides added wet-stopping reinforcement.

Great RAIN Shell I bought this on-line expecting it to be heavier than it is. I suspect the Winter Ace Softshell is more what I want, but chose this one because of the hood. I still like it - good fit, quality, etc., but it's important to know that it's light-weight and unlined. It's good for shedding rain and darting from the car, but not warm enough for the soccer side-lines. Fortunately, it's roomy enough to wear over layers.Wish there were more options offered in extended sizes, particularly a shell with OmniHeat - warm without bulk. October 26, 2012

Very nice jacket!!! The Jet Stratus Shell is very nice in the rain and keeps you warm when it is a bit chilly outside. Fits very well to you and offers alternatives if you want it bigger or smaller. Very nice jacket, will buy more Columbia gear in the future because of the quality. June 26, 2012

Great Jacket! I love this new jacket. I purchased it for a trip to Southeast Alaska this summer but wore it the day it arrived. It is light, breathable and easy to layer underneath. I purchased the coat one size larger than I usually wear so I was sure there was room to layer. The wind is often an element to deal with in Port Townsend. I love to walk my dog on a trail by the water which is often windy and wet. This jacket keeps me warm, dry and it comes in great colors! What more could you want. May 1, 2012

I love this jacket! This is a fabulous jacket! I bought it because I live in Seattle and Seattle lives up to its reputation as far as wet weather goes.It's cute and it keeps me dry whether I'm up to my elbows in peat on an archaeological dig or just running around town. I can wear a sweatshirt underneath it, but if I don't it doesn't look huge.Money well spent. March 30, 2012

How to measure

Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
