Very comfortable Order a 1/2 size larger because these shoes run a little small. These shoes feel like an old comfy worn in sneaker. No break in period. Have a lot of cushioning inside and run wide so your feet don't feel smashed in on the sides. I walk over 2 miles every day and these shoes are great. December 13, 2011

I like the style and color, but... The Shastalavista hikers are at least a half-size too small. Ordinarily I wear an 8, and I'm thinking I could get away with a 9 if I want to wear thick socks... I'm also a little disappointed in the use of synthetic material around the toe - it looks cheap and I'm thinking it will crack easily in cold/wet weather. September 13, 2011
Pretty good. I'm still breaking these shoes in. They are wider than I expected and I have to tie them super tight to keep my feet from shifting around in them...a thicker sock could probably solve this problem. The traction has been great and they are light weight. I use them instead of my Moab Merrells for shorter, easy to medium difficultly hikes and trail running. August 26, 2011
#1 and #2 It took a minute to get adjusted on the trail in my new Shastalavista"s because I'm so used to my good old Columbia trail shoes I've had for over 10 YEARS!!!! So far they have lived up to the quality I expect from this company. Very light weight and comfortable. Breath nice. Worn them everyday since they arrived. As for my old pair, they still work with me in the garden :) August 24, 2011

Great shoes! I just received it in the mail a couple of days ago. It fits great, very comfortable and pretty sexy! I already own a couple of Columbia hiking shoes and therefore knew I was getting a great quality product. It even goes well with my matching new Columbia rain jacket! Purple Passion! These shoes fit perfectly, right on size. They are lightweight for a hiking shoe, even though they have a thick sole. They are very comfortable! The purple color...I love it. The shoes look really nice on. I have been using them for working out, but I would not hesitate to take them on a hike, they would work well in outdoor settings for hiking, camping, etc. May 14, 2011
Great Durable Shoe! I bought these shoes to hike and go bike riding in and they are perfect for just that! They are very durable and keep your feet dry if it is raining. I wear a womens size 8 and they were a little snug, but not so much that they don't fit, just need to be broken in. All-around awesome outdoor shoes! May 9, 2011
Already broken in This is the first hiking shoe I've ever owned that didn't need breaking in, or had the familiar "pains" of new shoes. They're absolutely wonderful and breathe very well. Colors were a little different from the website, but that's to be expected. May 3, 2011
