Freezer Zero™ Neck Gaiter 4.6 5 27 27
Forget the sunscreen! I hate applying sunscreen over and over again when my day on the trail is long. This gaiter makes sure I don't get sun or windburnt and keeps me cool doing it. Sure, I get a few looks, but they understand when they go home with red faces and weird collar suntan lines. Plus, I look like a hiking ninja...what could be better? July 8, 2014
Works Great with Inevitable Flaws This product works great for blocking sun and keeping me cool, but it fogs up my sunglasses when I exhale if I pull it over my nose. That is my only complaint, and it is an inevitable problem with these things. All brands will do this. Otherwise, it works great for protecting me from the sun and the Omni Freeze Zero material is great! May 22, 2014
Would like to see improvements but great material. Great stretch but it still does not fully cover the bottom of my neck. I have pronounced trapezius muscles that give me a bit of a "bull neck" or weightlifter type neck. I would really like to see longer length and some added material to protect the base of my neck to include the spot above the buttons on my shirt and at the top of my back. I work on a military base and spend everyday outside for at least a few hours bending, stretching and moving around in full sunlight. April 3, 2014
Comfortable I wear it while running a commercial lawn mower to protect the back of my neck from the sun but it easily pulls up over my mouth and nose when it gets dusty. March 27, 2014
Simple yet very effective I bought this for when I ride my motorcycle. It seals my neck to my face, preventing cold air from going down my jacket or up my helmet. I took it on a very cold ride and it did a great job keeping the cold air out. That's impressive considering how light the material is. March 13, 2014
Florida Fishing Go to Florida for filming fishing shows! This is a must have to cool and protect from the sun. Multi functional. When crusing in the boat I love that I can pull it up over visor or hat to keep it in place. March 11, 2014
Full protection from sun for neck & face So glad we finally found something that can keep our son's face and neck protected from the sun while he plays baseball. He has skin disorder and is VERY sun sensitive but a great baseball player. This allows him to keep from burning and peeling. He wears it in all positions except when pitching so we are delighted. Great match for arm guards of same fabric January 24, 2014
Freezer Zero Neck Gaiter I fish in the bright summer sun of Louisiana and I need good UV protection. I don't like to wear sunscreen, and it bothers me when it gets in my eyes....so I wear a gaiter to cover most of my face, neck and ears. I have tried other brands of gaiters and prefer this one. This gaiter breathes better than other brands and is lighter weight, cooler, and less noticeable. October 29, 2013
Sun bock Works very well, cools me down more than I thought it would. September 8, 2013
My new favorite neck gaiter! Have worn a bunch of them and this one is the best i've tried yet. Even in super hot TX heat, wicks away sweat and moisture and dries quickly. September 4, 2013
Better Than Expected To be honest, half the reason I bought this Neck Gaiter for $30 was because the bright blue color was a perfect match to the trim on my Harley's paint job. I used the gaiter for the first time yesterday on a 160 mile bike ride with the temperature in the mid-nineties most of the day. The gaiter worked great. I wet it down at two rest stops during the day. It protected my neck from sunburn and helped keep me comfortable all day. It is a quality piece of gear and actually a good value for the money. Definitely a big advance over the common bandana, and now an essential part of my riding gear. September 2, 2013
Overpriced marketing hype... This neck gaiter works no better than any other polyester gaiter on the market. The weave is so tight on this gaiter when it is wet it is impossible to breath through. The freezer zero effect is no better than any other evaporative effect from any other material. I think I'll go back to my trusted cotton bandana. August 9, 2013
Sun Protection while staying cool Purchased this product to protect the incision on my neck from surgery from the sun. The product keeps my neck cool and provides SPF 50 while covering my neck and the area of the incision while it heals. July 31, 2013
Marketing ploy gone bad OMNI FREEZE FAILS AGAIN bought this for husband and self, along with the bandana that were said to cool and wick as well. Used mine while mowing our lawns, it wicked most moisture and didn't make the heat worse, never got that "cooling effect" didn't get sunburned, but that is no real feate... I could have made a tube-like contraption out of a sleeve of a cotton t-shirt, I wouldn't get sunburned where it covered, cotton absorbs moisture... the only good thing as the material transfers eat away.... never got a "cooling feeling though. Would NOT buy again. IS NOT worth the amount paid in the least for an average product that does not live up to the HYPE. July 12, 2013
Must have if you are outdoors in the sun I bought the neck gaiter and the bandana not realizing that the neck gaiter would be a better head cooler neck cooler combo. Many of my work buddies have inquired about my awesome new sun protection as well as many in my local bicycling crew. It's been very hot here lately and this Omni-freeze technology has been a life saver. I rinse it out at the end of the day and let it air dry. July 3, 2013
It works I have may Neck Gaiters and the freezer zero line are my favorite. If I'm not producing enough sweet I'll just pour a little water on the back of my neck and it stays cold. It also works great for keeping the sun off of me on long days of Tarpon Fishing. June 28, 2013
Freezer Zero Neck Gaiter I have used other manufacturer's similar products in the past and wanted to try Columbia's since they produce so many other awesome products. Ordered a white one for my son and a fossil for myself. Finally got to use it several weekends ago and it fit and felt awesome. The material was just the right weight and did not feel like it was sufficating you. Also, once the Freeze Zero got damp from sweat, it felt even better against my cheeks and neck and helped cool my body temp down as well. Great job Columbia.....keep up the nice work and providing quality products. June 22, 2013
No More Sun Screen This buff works perfectly in the sun for fishing. I no longer have to worry about re applying sun screen every time I sweat or get wet. This product also makes a great headband when you are hiking in the forest from fishing spot to fishing spot. Buy 2 of these and keep one as a backup. June 10, 2013
Freezer zero neck gaiter A little snug. But it doesn't roll up like other brands. Cool with good sun protection coverage. June 9, 2013
Keep the sun off your neck I HATE SUNSCREEN! I hate having to apply and keep applying sunscreen. A couple years back I rafted the Grand Canyon and I had a bad case of heat stroke because I didn't keep the sun off the back of my neck and didn't drink enough water. I recently returned from Havasupai in the Grand Canyon and this thing kept the sun off my neck, kept me cool and any time dirt was kicked up I just slipped the gaiter over my nose and I could breath while everyone else was choking on dust. I raft a lot and I'm going to take this with me on every trip I go on. Love this thing. May 31, 2013
now THIS thing is handy perfect for under my motorcycle helmet... the air channels in the helmet are just enough to activate the OFZ material, and enhance the cooling sensation of helmets with even the most limited airflow May 30, 2013
Perfect for protection from the sun We just returned from the Galapagos where just about every naturalist and guest was wearing a neck gator. Getting ready for our next adventure to Africa, I realized the importance of having these gators to shield the intense sun. The neck gator is cool and lightweight. You can wear it many different ways--up on your neck or head or even part of your face. We bought the 2 blue colors, a white, and fossil. No more worrying about sun on the back of the neck or places where you forget sunscreen. May 29, 2013
The neck gaitor is a good product The neck gaitor is cooling, but if you are wearing to keep the heat off of your face, it does not stay up over the nose that well. May 13, 2013
Neck Gaiter This is the best Neck Gaiter on the market. Very good fit, comfortable, and does an excellent sun protection. April 29, 2013
Added protection In the sun I will not be without the Neck Gaiter. I pull it up over my ears and nose to get complete sun protection. Make sure you completely tuck it under your shirt so your neck does not get burned. g April 15, 2013
Best of its kind I charter fish in SW FL full time and I have tried many different brands of "buff" type items. This is, by far the most comfortable and effective. April 12, 2013
It can cover more than just your neck. I have now purchased 3 editions of the neck gaiter. Each one is improved. I like the new improved cooling system. Also, the later freeze models have creating perforations. I pull these gaiters up over my face & to the top of my head. I use this item in the Summer on the Eastern Shore, down in Florida & on my annual 2 week expeditions to Aruba. I carry extras with me to give as presents to the crews I fish with. February 22, 2013
