Rated 4 out of 5 by Rash Guard It fits like a rash guard in size L. I fit all of the button-ups and polos in the omni-freeze collection in Medium perfectly, but this shirt is tight! Will be great for hot summer swimming adventures! March 26, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Body Contouring I got this shirt for working out. The fit is really tight almost like a second layer of skin. I was not expecting that. Otherwise a nice product. March 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sizing is way off and the white ain't white. I love Columbia clothes and own at least a dozen Columbia shirts of various styles. All of them are size L. This shirt in that size fits like new skin, but tighter. Oh, and the white shirt isn't white. It's white covered with little baby blue circles. Seriously, how hard can white be? Columbia: I still love ya, but this one is a swing an a miss and is on its way back. November 6, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by not in florida I umpire baseball here in Ft. Myers and found this shirt to be too hot for here. I'm sure it works fine, the quality is very good, but it's too thick for this hot and humid weather. I wore it under my chest protector and was NOT cooled. I wore it under my umpire shirt and was only fairly cooled. November 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not real size, small shirt Got a M size shirt, its small, sleeves are too short (im1.81m and thin(66kg), so for a guy with a little more weight than me, this shirt would be very very small Freeze Degree™ Short Sleeve Crew is a little bit closer to true size than Men's Coolest Cool™ Short Sleeve Top October 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by keeping your cool It gets pretty hot in Texas. I work in my yard and play a lot of golf. This summer I tried a variation on the use of my Omni-Freeze Zero tee: When it was 98 or above, I soaked my tee, sqeezed it out and was cool for about 2 hours. It works. October 22, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by did not like fit I did not expect that it would be form fitting like a skin suit or bicycle shorts. October 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product but way to expensive This product is awesome. However the price is too high to make it worth buying more. I am a Police Officer and these are awesome under a bulletproof vest. Lower the price and advertise with Law Enforcement sites. Sales will sky rocket. Other small suggestion is take the blue dotting out of the front of the collar and a V formation on the front so they don't show when wearing it as a undershirt in while in uniform. September 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by not sure what to expect I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was amazing. Medication causes excessive perspiration on warm/hot days. This shirt not only cooled the body it also kept it cool as time went on. Awesome. So much better than I hoped for. Washes well. September 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by functional It's almost too nice a shirt to wear fishing. It is VERY cool compared to the standard tee. September 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Runner who likes quality I am a picky person when it comes to what I wear for my training runs. Thought I would give Columbia a try and I am glad I did. This product backs up all the claims in it's ads. The technology works and it cools you off as you sweat. Perfect for my long runs. If you are thinking about getting this shirt, bite the bullet and do it. You will be glad you did. August 24, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by No Freeze Zero Here I was excited after I purchased this shirt to use on my long runs (15+ miles) during the intense Florida humid heat common during July and August. Wow, was I mislead. Not only does this shirt have no any additional cooling properties/characteristics/features it is almost suffocating due to poor construction and non-breathable material. Maybe this shirt is better suited for indoor non-intense workouts or sedimentary activity such as fishing, but please do not use this product for intense training days. August 15, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Using as Workout Gear I purchased this shirt along with the Men's Coolest Cool Jewels 9" Short. I am 6'3, 260 lbs, but I'm a slim/fitted shirt style. The XL shirt could use more tightness since it's a performance fit, but it doesn't drag during my workout. The shirt length surprisingly reaches the tops of my quads. I found the sweat activated cooling to be minimal compared to the Coolest Cool Jewels 9" Short, which is comprised of the same Omni-Freeze technology. I can definitely feel the cool when the shorts kick in (mostly on my rear-end), but the shirt leaves much to question. Perhaps I got a malfunctioning shirt? I wasn't expecting either product to act as an air conditioner, but there is a definitive difference in the cooling performance between the Coolest Cool Shorts and the Short Sleeve Performance Top. The shirt material is ok, but I feel like it would tear easily if it caught an edge. I would recommend the shirt only if it performed like the shorts. August 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Short sleeve for bouldering and hiking this is a nice cool short sleeve for outdoor activities like bouldering and hiking. July 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works as advertised I love this shirt. It looks great and the color really makes you look tanned. It also does a great job staying cool in hot weather. Make sure you get a size larger than expected or it may accentuate the curves on your body that you don't want. July 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beat the Heat I purchased this for playing golf. I wore it on a 95 degree 90% humidity day in the hot East Texas hills and it performed well. Kept my core cool all day and my outer shirt stayed dry with no sweat markings. Loved it. i usually wear XL shirts and I bought this in a XXL which fit perfect. July 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by True to its claims I bought this shirt for my summer trip to Havasupai and I loved it. It was comfortable and kept my upper body cool. When it rained and even after jumping into the pools it dried quickly. I wore it for four days straight and by the fourth day and especially on the hike out it started to stink a bit but honestly not as bad as I anticipated for a wicking layer. I am glad that I read some reviews before buying. Most reviews mentioned it was a smaller fit so I ordered a size larger and I felt it was a good fit and still snug enough to perform well. Great shirt I will buy another. July 18, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Omni Freeze Zero Horrible.... Do NOT waste your money !!!! I sweat. I don't like to. So I bought 2 of these shirts hoping for some relief.Turns out a fellow worker also had his on the same day. Both of us sweated more in these shirts then a regular cotton undedrshirt. These shirts do not live up to the hype....DO NOT BUY FOR COOL RELIEF !!!!!!! July 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Where does the sweat go? It's amazing how after a 1-hour treadmill walk, the only moisture I can feel on this shirt is just a trace under the armpits and around the collar! Much more convenient than going shirtless and toweling off all the time. Great product! July 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by For Law Enforcement Summertime motorcycle traffic enforcement in Phoenix is BRUTAL. After finding out about Omni-Freeze, several of us purchased t-shirts hoping to have found "the cure". We weren't sure what to expect given that they would be worn as undershirts and layered under uniforms and body armor. We received them just in time for the 115 degree heat. We’ve been wearing the t-shirts as often as possible over the past two weeks in order to provide this review. If you are looking for relief from temperatures this hot, move someplace cooler! There may never be a fix for withstanding the extended exposure we experience on bikes in the summer sun, but the Omni-Freeze t-shirt certainly seems to help some. We all agree that the quality of the shirt is impeccable and it’s surprisingly thin and lightweight. The consensus is that the material breathes well and seems to wick away moisture (keeping us dryer) better than other undershirts we’ve worn. The areas that do get exposed to some breeze, i.e. neckline and armpits feel noticeably cooler, especially when riding. In addition, it seems that odors do not absorb into the material. As for sizing, the shirts do run a bit small. I purchased an XL and find that it fits like a Large. One strange thing is the length of the t-shirt. I’m average height and weight and mine extends past my bottom, which pretty much makes the t-shirt unwearable other than as an undershirt where it can be tucked in (unless that’s the look you’re going for). Bottom line…we are very pleased with the Omni-Freeze shirts and most plan to order additional. July 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Unusual fit This is the first large t shirt I have ever tried on that was tight through the chest and arms. At 5'7", an extra large t shirt would have been way too long for me. It looked like a great product but it did not fit me. July 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great quality shirt I work in extreme heat so this shirt does the job. July 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by An Excellent Purchase! I purchased this shirt to help me stay cool on days when the heat is well into the 90s. I'm a Catholic priest and need to wear vestments for Mass which can be very warm on hot days. I had hoped that wearing the Omni-Freeze Zero short-sleeve top worn like a T-shirt would help me to remain cooler, as promised in the marketing ads. It worked. I am so satisfied with this product that I just purchased two more shirts. An XL is comfortable and loose for me in regular cotton T-shirts. But I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered an XXL. It is snug and fits perfectly. It did not lose it's shape or shrink after washing and I dried it by simply hanging it over a chair to air dry. I cannot recommend it more highly. July 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by IN HOT WEATHER I live in the valley of the sun and this athletic shirt has made a major impact in my day to day life. I work in the 115 weather so its hard to stay cool and hydrated. I do recommend this product because it has kept me cool even on the hottest days. From working to working out in the gym Omni-Freeze Zero Short Sleeve Top has kept to its word and kept me cool. July 2, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Come now, Really?? The ad for these shirts leads you to believe that you will feel a cool breeze blowing on your back while standing in the Sahara desert. Not so. I use mine in hot yoga classes and guess what it is dam hot and not cooling effect as far as I can tell. 'the one thing that seems to bother me though is that I bought a blue on several weeks ago and the fit on my torso is loos. I bought this light grey one and it has this athletic cut which is none too flattering on my middle aged body. July 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by He loves it! I purchased this for my husband and he instantly fell in love with the shirt, its soft and cool and the fit looks great. Ordered it in black and it is very slenderizing. June 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Performance My son was curious about the shirt and felt it performed as expected. June 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Omni-Freeze Zero is the Coolest This product exceeds the advertised characteristics. Superior fit and manufacturing methods provides for a shirt that is not only fun to wear, but the cooling capability is totally unique. For those who want to be cool while physically active in a hot environment Omi-Freeze Zero is the answer. June 17, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not worth the cost I brought two of these shirts both were $50.00 each. I used one under my ballistic vest to see if it would help keep me a little dryer during my shift. I did notice a small difference in how wet I was at the end of the day but not a $50.00 difference. And I used one during a training session without my vest and noticed a nice difference in how sweaty I was at the end of a challenging training session. I like the way they feel and the fit of them. But I've come across shirts that perform in the same manner maybe not totally at the same level but adequate at a lower price point. I think these would be worth a buy at a lower price point. I do not recommend the shirt at this price point but if you can find them at a lower rate then I would suggest purchasing them. June 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Keeps ya cool, maybe I suppose it works but I suppose I was expecting to really notice a big difference for the money. Yes it wicks but really did not notice the cooling effect as advertised. June 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product The OmniFreeze Zero is an excellent product but priced a bit on the high side. I'd love to see the price come down a bit so I, and others like me could afford to have more of them. May 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by 1st Omni Freeze Love the technology. Size runs too small for an XL. Fits tighter than most size L. Would prefer to exchange for XXL if possible. May 16, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Just an expensive t-shirt The shirt is good for working out in but the cooling effects are not noticeable. The thin material feels nice to workout in but my 15 dollar Nike shirt feels the same. May 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very good t-shirt It is a little light weight to offer much cooling, but is definitely cooler than my regular t-shirts. April 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Producy This shirt is a great product, it fits perfect and was just like I expected it. It is amazingly light for a shirt and great for running. April 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Runs small and beware of white I have had this shirt since it was offered as a "test" product last year. I use it while working out 3-4 times a week on an elliptical trainer. It definitely runs at least one size small. The over all quality is good and had kept it's elastic quality and "snugness" without pulls or tears. I think it does a good job of wicking and cooling, maybe a little better then other shirts. I would stay away from white. It seems to discolor over time becoming more grayish. April 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Chill out This shirt works great so far. I have only used it for indoor volleyball leagues, but I suspect that it will work just as well this summer. It definitely gets damp then really seems cooler, and wicks dry very quickly. At 6'1"/195 lbs, the Large has a nice athletic fit, although it is long, but that is probably good for those who like to tuck. April 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shirt I went sking and this shirt did everything it says it does. I want to buy more. These are not cheap but worth IT! March 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Omni Freeze Zero AMAZING The Omni Freeze Zero is an amazing product. Keeps you cool in the hottest of temps, as well as looks great. Sweat activated, and cools down body fast. In fact the only down fall of the white shirt is that the orange sand in Southern Utah stains it easily. I highly recommend this product to any outdoor enthusiast March 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Too hot in Texas I originally purchased this product with very high expectations already set in my mind. I do a fair amount of running in the Houston, Texas area so I know what heat feels like during those scorching summer months. To add to my running woes, I run hot. I generally prefer to run shirtless down into the mid 40's and have yet to ever run in pants. The product does a good job wicking the sweat away as it feels like a standard compression shirt (skin tight fit). It was comfortable to run in with no hot spots or pain points that lead to chaffing or rubbing. I'm a fairly normal build (6'2", 190lbs) and the shirt fit well with the only thing of note that it was a bit long. Even with it being longer than other shirts I was used to, the extra length or material didn't pose any problems and if anything, kept it from riding up or shifting position. The other thing that I thought was pretty noticeable was the amount of air flow through the material. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it breathed. Now, as I had mentioned before, I came into this with very high expectations and I was expecting this material to be almost magical in nature and so was a bit let down when I discovered that it wasn't. I fully believe that the fabric will allow your body heat to dissipate more efficiently than other traditional fabrics and that even the cooling material does help drop your body temperature a few degrees, however this was not the magic effect I was hoping for. It may have a much more dramatic affect in a more temperate local. All-in-all not a bad product by any means and I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a few more pairs. I just need to realize that it will always be too hot to run comfortably in Texas. January 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shirt! I got this shirt/baselayer for mountain biking. It's perfect for days when your biking under the scorching sun! I even use it for work nowadays as I'm a professional photographer and it gets very warm when your running around everywhere! Totally recommend this! November 4, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by $exy I'm 6', slim, usually wear a medium. I would say this runs a tad large just because it is supposed to be a tight fit and it is comfortably snug on me. It is cut really well, very form fitting without pulling anywhere. Stretches well, breathes very well, dries super fast. I'm not sure if I buy the "active cooling" thing but I haven't really used it for anything super sweaty yet. My only criticisms are 1) It's awfully expensive for a t-shirt and 2) I wish it came in more colors and with no pattern (I assume it probably will when it is officially released) October 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cool shirt I heard the hype and wanted to check it out. It seems to be a good tech shirt. Don't believe it is worth $55 however. October 16, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worked Well I wore this during a community service event in Houston when it was 90 degrees out. We were painting houses with no shade. I felt comfortable and cooler than I expected to had I not worn this. The Partners I was working with all seemed to be sweating more than I was. At the end of the day I was the only one who didn't look or feel as if they'd been swimming. October 14, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Jury is still out.. 1) size is an issue. This shirt fits very tight. So if normally a large, get an extra large. Even with the extra large, it was "form fitting". 2) Jury is still out -- first use was great "dry fit" but this was on a day with less heat, less humidity and a nice breeze. Shirt aapears well made, fits tight to utilize the technology, and is very light. Too soon to tell if the technology will really cool in hot, humid Florida summers. I am over 65, and a little less fit than should be. The first shirt not practical to wear. So buyer be careful when choosing size. October 13, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Too feminine for me The little blue circles are a little too feminine for me. My wife has offered to take it off my hands, so all is not lost. As other people have commented, it runs small. Order XL if you normally wear L. The material is light weight and does help keep you cool. Probably no better than any of the other moisture wicking fabrics out there. October 4, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by The product is good This product keeps the body comfortable but you have to be careful because it looks like sizes are tight to the body October 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by As advertised it's cool The shirt does what you claim it is cooling to wear. It is long and as a tall guy I like this. My only complaint is that the sleaves tend to gather under the arms and need to be pulled down, from time to time, for comfort. October 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far, So good I am a home inspector from hot and humid New Orleans, who crawls around in attics that the temperature reaches over 150 degrees F. I have diabetese, high blood pressure and sweat like a waterfall until I started wearing this shirt. I've noticed a great reduction in the amount of sweat I generate due to this product. No more soaking wet shirts when I'm talking to a client about the condition of thier home. Any other products like this one, I would be more the happy to test for you. Thanks for making my job easier. October 4, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cool & Dry I use this shirt as an undershirt to keep cool and dry on those hot sticky days. Has a great feel against my skin. October 4, 2012
