Reviews

Men's EvaPOURation™ Jacket is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Packable and very waterproof I'm 6'4, 195 and the Large fit well. I have room for a mid-layer if I need it, but without it the jacket doesn't feel too roomy which is nice. It packs up neatly, which is ideal for when I'm backpacking or just to have stowed in my car for emergencies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Packable Raincoat! Followed the sizing chart and it fit me perfectly. its a tad bit large, but that is necessary for a mid-layer if you want one. I love that it is packable, since there are no official pictures of it in its packed form, here is one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's definitely waterproof This jacket is great but has no breathability. It is definitely waterproof and wind resistant. I used this jacket while hiking in Patagonia, where we encountered a range of temps and snow and rain. However, the jacket does not perform well in warmer climates. I am currently living in Rio and find that the entire inside of the jacket becomes wet from sweat even when the vents are open.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from pgobeem Jacket is well built and comofrtable. But jacket leaked my arms and torso would get damp not wet but did not stay dry. Notified Columbia and was quickly given a return number and given enough of a credit that I could buy an upgraded jacket. They stood behind their guarantee and were quick about it to make it right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent lightweight jacket I wear this jacket in warm rain (with a shirt underneath) and in cold rain (with a shirt and sweater underneath) and in cool or cold windy weather. I'm 6'3" and 165#, and the medium is a good fit and it's actually long enough for me...though I wouldn't mind an extra inch in the sleeves and back. The pit vents keep it comfortable for me up to about 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have When it's hot and you need to stay dry this is the right jacket. Also breaks the wind very well. I us mine on the boat as well as camping.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket Jacket is nice. Runs a few sizes small.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very waterproof So far this jacket has been very effective in keeping me dry. It hardly takes any space to store. The only drawback I can think of is that the sleeves are cold when touching your bare skin on your arms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product This is my first Columbia rainjacket and it won't be my last. True to size, lightweight, and is very breathable. I wore it to class for the first time and I didn't have to take it off at all. It also it has a pocket which allows you to pack it into it. That's so convenient. I literally just threw it in the back of my car and it wasn't in the way

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Jacket I was looking for a lightweight rain jacket that I could keep in my pack when I hiked in and around Lake Tahoe. The weather (even in the summer) can shift quickly. Anyway, after reading reviews on this jacket, I went ahead and purchased it. I have the Backcountry Orange (just because it's different). I run a little on the warm side and I tend to be minimalist when packing. So, I was interested in how this jacket would work when I was putting forth energy. Meaning, would I get too hot? would I start to feel swampy? Well, the Omni-tech in this jacket prevents my body from overheating. In addition, and this is important, the zippers in the armpits help facilitate air flow and comfort. The jacket packs small and light. I'm 6'4" and 235lbs, the XXL size fit is perfect for me and my arms feel as if they have enough room. For the price, you can't #and really shouldn't# ask for more out of your rain jacket. I'll just add that this jacket is also effective in windy weather too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Evapouration Men's Jacket Ordered this jacket to replace another I had ordered for my son-in-law for Christmas. The original purchase was too heavy for Florida climate, so we decided to go with a lighter weight. When this jacket arrived, I was disappointed with the lining. It looked and felt like plastic sheeting. The other one had the Omni-Heat lining, which was wonderful. Couldn't imagine wearing this in Florida....reordered another style and returned this one. The replacement is great and he loves it!
