Men’s Flash Forward™ Down Jacket - Tall is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from So big I can't even wear it I'm 6'5 220 lbs and the LT is way too big on me. No, I don't like to wear super tight clothes, this jacket is just huge. I consulted the sizing charts and ordered a XLT. Huge! Returned it for what the sizing charts said would be a too small LT. Still huge! Pretty disappointed Columbia. Tall does not mean fat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from TOO BIG IN BODY So i'm tall but not big...this jacket was longer in body and sleeve but also way larger in the body. It claims 42-45 for chest, but it's easily 50. I think the extra sleeve length comes from making the shoulders so wide. So overall lengths were good, but just made for someone with a huge torso.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs very large I ordered size 4XLT which was supposed to be 60 inch chest size, but in fact was 67 inch. Now re-ordering a 3XLT size, hoping this time it would fit me better :) Green color is pretty similar, yet a bit darker in real life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, but not perfect. A few years ago, I purchased a men's Gold Turbodown 650 jacket and love it to this day. I emailed Columbia to see if the Turbo 650 is considered to be packable. Customer service said no, but the Flash Forward was. I wear a 3xlt and tried one on in an outlet but went for the 4xlt to have room for layering underneath. I am 6'2" and built like a linebacker. Yes, it does run large but if you dress in layers, you can take advantage and get a fleece or heavy sweater underneath. If you don't want to layer, you may consider a size down. If you can, try to put one on and judge the size before purchasing. This is very warm, but it appears to be intended for midlevel use and I have not had a chance to see temps below 10 degrees in this jacket. For those who said it was not warm enough, maybe they did not wear enough underneath and you should consider a heavier jacket if this is your primary winter jacket. With a fleece underneath and a wind/rain layer on top, this is a fine addition to my outdoor gear. The whole point of this purchase was the packing ability. This is ideal for those fall nights and mornings while backpacking or camping where you need to be warm in below freezing temps, but don't want to take up too much pack space or add too much weight. Why I would not call this perfect would be the bottom hem could use a drawstring. I can't speak for other colors, but my jacket in black looks pretty good and no different than other similar jackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good tall size puffer coat I appreciate Columbia making these in tall sizes. I'm a long-torso 6'5" fellow and like the fact that my LT extends below the belt-line to keep me warm. This one works great as a mid-layer. Good hand-warmer pockets, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall jacket for value and quality Extremely happy with my purchase, fits great (6'5") and athletic build. Slightly full in the body but nothing that a couple more burgers won't fill in over the next few years. Great warmth and the color looked good too. Would highly recommend jacket for a three season type coat. I'm Canadian born and raised and I wore this home for the holidays into single digit weather (8F) and was plenty warm with a wool sweater underneath for New Years eve. Sleeve length was perfect(I have long arms) as was the ample cut for shoulders and neck. Both were ample to pick up wood from the wood pile outside carry in the house and not have to pull arms back down. Great overall cut and fit. Bought another one for my father! Happy Birthday dad!!! Rated 4 out of 5 by from fit........ Retail stores had a limited selection after Christmas so I selected a size in store and purchased a different color online. Wouldn't you know, the online purchase was larger in size. Hopefully it will shrink at some point in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit - but material was not as expected I bought this to toss on as an "all seasons" keep me warm style jacket. From what I can tell, it would certainly be effective at this as wearing it in the cold house for 20 minutes had me VERY warm. The only problem I had with it was the material... I wear short sleeves a lot and the inside lining feels more like a rubber raincoat than a soft cloth material (not very breathable). I didn't like the feel of the material while wearing short sleeved shirts so I returned it. I ended up purchasing a different Columbia jacket which suits my needs perfectly! Link is below: http://www.columbia.com/saddle-chutes-jacket-%7C-464-%7C-2xt-888667144370.html Both jackets had plenty of sleeve length and fit perfectly as expected (identical fits).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flash down jacket Great sizing along with keeping me warm and roomy enough to wear a liner to stay extra warm in extreme cold

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Jacket. Odd Size/Fit. Pretty good jacket so far. I'm 6'8 250 lbs. W/ athletic build, and an avid hiker. I typically wear an XLT from Columbia, however after reading reviews online I decided to order a LT as well. The LT fits much better and even has a little extra room. The jacket fits pretty well. Enough length in the sleeves, and a great overall length. The body shape to this jacket is a bit peculiar though. It almost seems flared out at the bottom (wish there was a drawstring), and there is a slight bump/poof on the back between the shoulder blades. I'm guessing this might be due to how the jacket is made with the heat sealing process? Overall I'm happy with the jacket, but wish Columbia could be more consistent with their sizing and fit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nice color jacket is too big, but didnt know it was true to size

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect Overall I am pleased with my jacket. I find it runs a bit wide in the body. I originally thought I would use it for a layering piece. But after seeing the fit, I will just use it as a jacket with a fleece under it. I find it to be wide in the body, and was disappointed that it didn't have a draw cord in the bottom of the body. I am happy with the jacket, just not in how I thought I would use it.....good purchase just the same!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seems Columbia Tall is also BIG Even though they separate their tall from their big sizes, seems they only make them one way. Big and Tall. I ordered 1 size up based on other reviewers mentioning it ran small. The coat I got was HUGE. I'm 6'8" 235 and ordered 3XT. Maybe a 1.5XT would work well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy I brought this coat for my girlfriend she has a heavy chest and tall. This coat fitted very well. In fact I think I could've got a smaller size but overall I love the color and fit on her. She said it is very comfortable and roomy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Says its XL tall but more wide than needed I'm dealing with it but the size is instead of tall, it's wide in the body, tight at the shoulders and short at the sleeves. It feels more like xl-big than tall, since the sleeves are shorter than some regular xl sizes out there. Wish I could exchange it but since that the size they have, I fell I'd just get stuck with it anyway. I love Columbia and my boarding jacket has been awesome for years. maybe it's a fluke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Packable Puffer Jacket This jacket fits my son perfectly--his early Christmas gift. He's 6'5"--the length and width are true to size. Perfect for traveling because it doesn't take up much space, while providing warmth. This is the only jacket that fit him--last year I tried, but not success(at least 8 different mfrs.--either too big or too small. I am a happy camper--thanks Columbia for making quality jackets!!!!!!!!!!
