Rated 3 out of 5 by Golfer & Walker I have an earlier version of this jacket. It is a Nice looking and comfortable jacket. I like the color contrasting zippered pockets. However, the jacket has been a disappointment when I wore it in temperatures ranging below 50 degrees with a moderate 8-10 mph wind. This is unusual performance for a Columbia product. As I have had great success with my many Columbia products. In reading the other reviews, I am inclined to believe that Columbia has improved the performance of this jacket. March 14, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Too big It is excelent but too big. February 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mens' warm outer jacket Good looking! Great style easy to wear & best of all it warms you with your body heat. Which makes it in my opinion a lighter jacket. Not bulky or heavy with a nice finish on the outside. Good value for the money. November 27, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by does everything they say it does well structured jacket, definitely has a crisp look and keeps you dry and warm November 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Made to Travel I am looking forward to traveling to Europe in January with this jacket. It is light weight and warm! August 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOOKS & FEELS GREAT!! I have really enjoyed this jacket and I would definitely recommend this jacket to a friend! In fact, I bought one for a friend as a gift! He loved his, too! The fit is great and the material is even better! I love Columbia products!! May 16, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by great all season jacket I bought this one to replace an older one which has seen better days. The only thing is the new one doesn't have inside pockets. I miss that feature because its,a,great place to keep your phone May 7, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good jacket I had to really warm up to this jacket. I didn't care for it too much at first because the area around the armpits fit a little snug / strange. It bunches up short sleeve shirts, and I have to physically reach in and pull the sleeve farther down the inside of the arm to wear comfortably. Another issue I've had with it, I often wear collared shirts at work, and the collar of the jacket always works it's way under the collar of the polo shirts. This is of course if you don't wear the jacket collar "popped", which I don't. The last minor thing, is if you wear this jacket against bare skin, such as with a short sleeve shirt, the thermal dots liner in the sleeves will become slightly tacky if you are actively perspiring. Now for all of the good. I love the feel of the outside of this jacket. The thing looks great! I've received quite a few compliments on the jacket in the 6 weeks I've owned and used it. I don't think it evaporates sweat as good as they claim, but it does, just a little slower than I thought it would. This has however never been an issue for me. The jacket also repels water well. Rain drops just bead right up and roll off... Sometimes the velcro wrist clasps can cause the water to work its's it way down the sleeve if your arm get's slightly elevated. The jacket is also great at stopping the wind! The thermal dots do well at keeping you warm when you need it, and cool when you don't. I've really been impressed with how well this jacket regulates my body temp. Now, I wouldn't wear this in a blizzard, but a 40 degree day with a light wind on up to mid-60's and rain have not been an issue. The zippers are nice, and I haven't had any water leakage issues yet with the "sealed" zippers. I do wish there was some sort of a pocket on the inside of the jacket as well. Overall, I rate it as good, and bottom line... I would buy it again! March 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jacket Everything I expected and more. Works great in wind and rain. Cool enough on warm days and warm enough on cool nights. Fits great. I get compliments all the time. March 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very comfortable jacket. Nice lightweight jacket. Great at blocking the wind and keeps me warm in most conditions. February 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Jacket You'll Own! I have wanted one of these for the past year. So, naturally I purchased one for my Police Officer Step Son & my 17 yr old Jr in High School as Christmas gifts. I couldn't wait any longer & I received mine two weeks ago. They both love theirs & so do I. I think the police officer said it best "It's lighter than a sweatshirt and has the warmth and wind blocking ability of a coat that is 5 times heavier and thicker. It's great for layering" In the past week, I have been in 46 degrees on a bass boat in FL, going 74 mph with nothing more than a long sleeve cotton tshirt on underneath and was very comfortable. No wind. NO chills made it through. And it breathes so well with no sweating. I wasn't too warm to have it on until almost 60 degrees. Not one time while fishing did I feel restricted or to bulky for movement and was not limited at all. Water beads off and you cannot even tell it's been wet and out of doors. This week I'm in Colorado. I added a sweater to the long sleeve tshirt and am well layered to be warm and comfortable in 32 degree weather with a 20 mph wind and sleet... not restricted in the least! And have had a lot of compliments each day! Folks in the office pick it up and try it on. All commenting on how "slight" it seems and ask if it's enough. You cannot go wrong having this in your closet. February 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lite weight, But warm We have some Cold weather here in Buffalo N.Y. But this Jacket can handle it. It works for Me. January 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A league of its own. This jacket is wonderful! I bought this jacket with one purpose in mind and that was a windbreaker, let me tell you it breaks wind as if it were a brick wall! What I really liked about this jacket is that it looks great, you can wear it out on the trail, up in mountains, going down the slopes, or out to a nice dinner. It is classy and sophisticated but still rugged and functional. I kept finding myself thinking that I'm not warm but I'm not cold when wearing it, it's like it keeps you at the perfect temperature, now obviously this is not an insulated jacket so in pretty cold temps (40) you will start to get cold but I knew that and I use it as a layering system with the Fusion Exact jacket, they are a perfect team and have kept me warm well into the negatives. The zipper is a nice construction and the size fits very well, I'm 6'2" and weigh 165lbs it fits me like a glove. All in all I was very pleased with the jacket, enough so that I bought another one in a different color for when I want to change it up. Stop reading this review and buy it. You will not be disappointed I promise!! Great job Columbia! January 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Incomparable to other products! Never had a jacket that had the quality and class, but still delivered the function. You can wear it fishing or out to dinner and is appropriate for both. The technology is crazy good. On my last trip I left Florida using the jacket as a wind breaker in 70 degree weather, ended in Virginia in the 40's and I only needed on jacket for the trip. Read this review...and then BUY it, you won't regret it! December 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Windproof For Sure This jacket does exactly what it is suppose to. I do recommend if you buy this jacket to layer it. I was specifically looking for a windproof softshell not a jacket that I could not layer. This is the jacket that provided what I needed. December 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sale Very computable and excellent quality ! December 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sturdy shell Sturdy shell, but questionable heat retention. Wrist velcro tabs are not as strong/sticky as other Columbia ski jackets'. Would recommend adding a pocket for left hand, to make use of the right chest space. December 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lightweight but warm! Very lightweight but very warm. My husband loves it! November 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect. No Flaws This jacket is perfect for fall and early winter weather. It seems very thin, but the Omni Heat reflective lining is very very warm. Highly recommend this jacket. November 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply love this jacket! I got this for a trip to northern New Mexico to fly fish in late fall. The wind picked up after coming off the river one night with temps in the low 50's, upper 40's. I only had a PFG shirt over my arms, so I put this jacket on and zipped it up. Never felt the wind or cold air on my body again. Love it. Only thing I'd like better about it is if it had a hood for the heavy rain storms that will punish us during the year. This will be the go-to jacket that stays in my truck. October 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Fall Jacket Here in Kansas when fall rolls around the cold winds blow through and the rain becomes an occurring thing. This jacket I cant even explain how nice its been so far. The wind and rain are no match for this jacket. I usually wear this jacket when the temperature is about 40 to 60 degrees. It looks very nice, its durable and when you get moving the omni-heat gets you warm quick. The elastic band at the bottom is one of those little features I really appreciate. I am moving to the mountains soon and I know this will be my go to in the spring and fall. October 23, 2014
