Men’s In Bounds 650 TurboDown™ Interchange Jacket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for cold days on the slopes I got this jacket this year as a replacement for my other Columbia jacket that was four years old. This jacket and the technology that the Columbia company has made is a big difference from the previous model. This jacket is incredibly warm and incredibly comfortable. At times I might say it is even too warm. On a recent skiing trip I found myself having to remove the liner because I was just too hot. This was not the case with my older one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Comfortable at 7 Degrees Below Zero This jacket is absolutely outstanding and an excellent value. I purchased this jacket in the Fall and skied in Colorado this Winter for two weeks, including days when the temperature was 7 below zero and the wind was blowing. The jacket is much lighter than my old Columbia Titanium, flexes effortlessly when I move, stayed dry on multiple heavy snow days, and most importantly, kept me amazingly warm in the coldest conditions. I recommend this jacket enthusiasticaly and without reservation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Winter Coat from Columbia! For the longest time I've bought heavy coats that had lots of open space in them to account for layering. Boy, was I missing out. Normally, I've gotten Large size coats. I'm 6'-1", 130lbs, long arms, so naturally there was a lot of wiggle and layering room. I got a Small size in this coat, and the sleeves are perfect length and the waist-line of the coat goes down far enough to my liking. The multiple layers is also great, as I live in a climate that isn't necessarily always freezing in the winter time. The option to have either the liner as a jacket, or the shell as a jacket gives me a great amount of flexibility. So far my only minor gripe is about the hood, which has drawstrings that are a little difficult to release back open. The hood shape itself creates a huge canopy around your head when you aren't tightened. Overall, I can't say enough about how impressed I am with the product, and will continue to get other items from Columbia as well. High-quality stuff!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Silver freezer bag material? Ordered jacket for my son, fits true to size, the inside removable jacket is shiny and cheap looking on the outside, and the inside lining is silver like a frozen food bag lining- does not look good at all, i wanted to send it back, because it is cery noticeable when jackets hangs on a hook

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All but the hood ... I really like the jacket overall. I was a little disappointed with the hood. It is not insulated (at least that I could tell) and is just a hood. I guess I expected some insulation in a hood for a winter jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Multipurpose Jacket This is a nice jacket. The 3 in 1 feature makes it really versatile. It is like having 3 jackets. Easy to put on and the multiple pockets with zippers increase its value and utility

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent winter/ski jacket I used this in seoul, South korea in december. temperatures went down to a low of 19F with a real feel of 9F. It also rained and snowed during my stay there, but this jacket kept me really warm and dry. I only wore jeans with thermal liners, and my legs were cold, but all the body regions that this jacket covered were warm. I was impressed with omni-tech. I worn a light long-sleeve shirt underneath and that was it. I like all the pockets, the interchangeability, I bought other jackets and fleeces that are interchange compatible. This jacket is adjustable in many ways, thus it keeps the fit nice and snug so that no wind chill can enter in. This is a durable, warm, and lightweight (in terms of weight) jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME..!!! This jacket was a Christmas gift and it is exceptional. True to size. Zippers work great. Only problem the weather in the Kansas City area has not really been cold enough to wear it since receiving it. I have other Columbia products with the "Omni-Heat" and put "Down with Omni-Heat" and you have hit a home run.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs large My fiance is 6'2" and 240lbs so usually wears an XL. When he put this jacket on he was swimming in it. Will be exchanging for a smaller size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from redux This is the second triple jacket I have purchased. The first was a Whirlybird which I still have. This is much warmer and drier. Very pleased! Daily use in Portland Oregon for one hour walk in hilly location.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Coat is cut too small. I have owned two Columbia Parkas in the past. This was to replace the North Slope that I bought six years ago, which I can't figure out why they discontinued. I ordered an XL, which is what I wear in coats. I wanted some extra space to layer underneath. However, the coat -- and specifically the shell -- is cut smaller than my old XL, particularly in the shoulders. If you are muscled at all, you should get a size up. I returned the coat and am waiting for the credit. However, they do not have the XXL in the color I want. So I wait, and look at other manufacturer's coats. I will add that I would really like to see snaps on the storm flap and a thicker hood, or a second thick hood. The thin one is useless, except when worn just in the rain as a shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MEN’S IN BOUNDS 650 TURBODOWN™ INTERCHANGE JACKE I am very pleased with this purchase, the jacket fits to a T. I like how you can wear the outer shell alone, or with the inner jacket, very versatile. Although, it does not get near as cold, but it sure will keep you warm. I recommend this jacket because of it's versatility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and fuzzy! My experience with this jacket is still admittedly short, but based on the one-week wearing period I have to say this jacket is very good. Things have not been crazy in the midwest just yet - with highs at about 30 and lows 15, and this jacket has been keeping me toasty warm in those conditions. It has been snowing and sleeting quite a bit though, which has verified the excellent water-proof capabilities of this jacket. Water appeared as small droplets on the surface of the shell - nothing else! Not a single drop got in. I don't personally ski, so the powder skirt has basically just served as a wind-proof mechanism for me, and I worked well. In all, I would certainly recommend this piece of interchange to anyone in the midwest region. With a third of the price of some Canada goose jackets, this does almost everything (sometimes more). Word of warning though, 650 fill power may not be quite enough for areas like Alaska or Northern Minnesota.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A light 3 in 1 jacket, but very warm. This is my first Columbia jacket. It is light, but very warm. I'm 6'1" and 145 lbs, got a medium size, it is perfectly fit. I would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket, great price Bought this for extended winter backpacking trips in the Appalachians. I haven't put it through the gauntlet yet, but the down liner is a perfect jacket for around town, and the shell has kept me dry through several thunderstorms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Jacket for West Yellowstone Winters The first jacket we received had loose zippers however our return was easy and we are happy with the new coats. These coats handle the cold well. The only complaint we have is sometimes the down undercoat pokes out the sleeve and while on cold days not a problem on a wet rainy cold day this could be an issue. My wife and I are snug as a bug in these at ten below zero. Great Jacket from a great company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY warm coat This is a very warm coat! Sat through an outdoor hockey game in -5° kept me very warm. Loaded with pockets inside and out. I've always thought it would be a great idea to have a couple pockets on the inside of coats to tuck your gloves into and keep warm when you don't need them. This coat has that! Thanks Columbia :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roasty Toasty I received this jacket for Christmas, but I was fortunate to do the research and pick it out myself. The short story: I love the jacket. I'm 5'8 and 153 pounds, got a small jacket and it's true to fit. The long: I've had the chance to be in a number of wintry conditions. I was in northern Michigan earlier this week where we had temperatures in the low 40s. So I zipped out the down jacket and was warmer than necessary with only a t-shirt underneath, though, I didn't sweat at all. Disclaimer: I operate warmer than average. We had a winter storm also, where it was in the upper 20s and really windy. With the jacket assembled and hood up, I was very warm and I felt protected. No wind made it into the jacket. Especially with the extended backside of the jacket, my butt was warm, too. Back to the suburbs of Chicago where I live; I just came in from playing with my dog and it was 24 degrees with a 14 degree wind chill. With little movement, my core and arms were warm and I noticed that my hands and feet stayed warm, too. Even from walking on the snow and throwing a snow-covered ball over and over. The jacket kept the warm blood flowing. And in the snow and icy conditions I've been in, I've stayed dry as well. Bottom line - the jacket is warm! Some little things I did notice on a slightly negative note: the hood is a little big (I know it's meant for a helmet, but that's a very small portion of my life). Only a few down feathers have come out, and a few stray stitches have started to come out. I would definitely recommend the jacket to anyone that likes to be outdoors during the winter time or just likes to be warm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not for a tall person My husband is 6'4" and his sleeve length is 36/37. This jacket does not fit a tall person as the body and sleeve lengths were both too short. Color is nice and bright blue. Unfortunately had to be returned. Columbia, can you please consistently make TALL Men's sizes in outerwear!
