Men’s Powerfly™ Down Jacket 4.2 5 12 12
A Little Small The overall quality of the jacket is excellent, but this time the fit ran small. This is strange because last year the same jacket, same size, in black fit great. February 24, 2013
Ebony Blue This color looks like PURPLE!!! The jacket is good quality. The sleeves are a little wide, but the body fits well for a Medium. I am 5'10 165lbs. February 22, 2013
Hype - not warmth The jacket may be 800 fill, but it has no weight which means it isn't going to work on very cold days. I bought this to act as a softshell inside an outer coat, and at 15 degrees F, didn't do much. Style wise - it's a the standard baggy large - not fitted at all. To me, not worth the price. Cold CT weather no match for this Lightweight Jacket Stylish, lightweight, and practical. This is the first jacket I've ever worn that also brought me unsolicited 'style' compliments. It works... the cold is stopped without wearing 50lbs of clothing layers. January 11, 2013
Powerfly This is a very nice jacket. It is super warm yet breathes very well. I have received a ton of compliments on the style and color. December 17, 2012
lightweight and waterproof This jacket is very lightweight, but it is warm enough if you wear layers for a wisconsin winter, lots of compliments on it, good job Columbia. December 8, 2012
i heart omni heat This is a good jacket. I wish it had the neoprene fitted cuffs. Nice weight, low bulk. December 6, 2012
Perfect Mid Layer to Put Under Your Shell Super light weight and Comfortable. Fits well if you size down for layering. Cut well, not boxy like some brands. I like the narrow baffles, keeps piece from looking too bulky. Warmer than my other 800 fill down sweater I purchased a year ago. The omni-heat layer does seem to make a big difference.Only complaint is the sleeves are a little short. Could use some thumb holes at the end of the sleeves like some other brands. This would help the sleeves from riding up when using the piece under my shell and give extra coverage over my hands when I'm not wearing gloves. Some loose threads on the pice, which could be a problem down the line if they come loose.Over all I really enjoy the product but would not pay full retail for it. November 30, 2012
Great coat but M runs small while L runs big The coat is essentially as described, very warm, lightweight, and of excellent construction and quality. The color is exactly what I wanted and expected, and true to the appearance on the website. Unfortunately the issue I had with it is sizing. I wear a medium size coat typically at 5'9" and a slender 155 lbs, but the medium size was very tight around waist and in particular in the armpit. I didn't feel comfortable with just a sweatshirt on, much less wearing layers. The large size came next and it is actually a little big overall especially when worn without having on heavy clothing underneath, but I've kept it anyway because it is comfortable when layering up clothing and having on a sweater or sweatshirt underneath. When purchasing, just beware that the M size fits very small while the L size fits larger than expected. November 26, 2012
Crazy Warm Crazy warm sums it up. Omni heat + down results in a warm, warm jacket. I don't suggest wearing the jacket during highly aerobic activities because a) that's not really what down is for and b) it's too warm. But when you are done or don't plan on sweating and want to be warm - wear this.Note: the mens medium runs a little tight for a 42 chest/35 sleeve length but the body is true to size. October 8, 2012
Columbia has a knack for creating a great jacket. They pay a lot of attention to function and seem to get the form just right. Haven't had the opportunity to test the coat in the cold, but it appears to be the "ultra light" and yet warm layer that I was looking for. September 26, 2012
Hot Jacket With Issues This jacket is extreamly hot, it keeps me warm and it's definitely waterproof and wind resistance. The only problem is the feathers that's constantly coming out of the jacket. This would be my second time wearing the jacket and the feathers are getting much more worser. Again, the jacket proforance is excellent, it's just the problem with the feathers. I do not reccomand because why pay so much for this jacket and feathers are coming out! Really? So my next step is sending it to the warrenty department and hopefully I'll be able to exchange for another jacket or fleece. September 25, 2012
