Rated 2 out of 5 by Too Narrow Ordered it a while back. recently put it on and start feeling the pinch. The shoe is not true to size for width. Can not return them so they are staying in garage. July 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots I was looking for a new pair of hiking boots that wouldn't break the bank, and when Columbia advertised these, I thought I would get a pair since I own some of their other products and have always been happy with them. I paired them with some nice wool blend socks and they are very comfortable and do keep my feet very dry. Most importantly, my feet love them. I would definitely recommend them! July 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love these shoes I hiked 10 miles plus in very steep elevations and these shoes were like the best . I had no toes cramp and I really love them . June 15, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs better construction Pros: Are actually quite waterproof. Very good support (much better than a lot of my other Columbia shoes) Cons: No pull tab on the heel so even fully unlaced it can still be hard to get them out with the heel collapsing. The sole has started to pull away from the toe on both shoes. I have worn these shoes almost everyday since I got them around 5 months ago and I have been really tough on them But that being said I still don't think for the money, and quality that Columbia usually provides, that they should be wearing as much as they are. Still really comfortable boot though. May 1, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tears at sides The shoes were great until the sides tore on the second week. The treads also do not last nearly as long as the Ridge Plus II. April 30, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by overall good for price i see other online sites had a higher rate for this item compared to this site, hence decided to go for this. size is a little small, otherwise everything is good about the shoe. March 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Outdoor/Indoor Boot I purchase this boot last month for my son so he can do Boy Scout outdoor activities (hiking, trailing, etc..) and no complaints so far. We are still in the middle of winter with lots of snow and rain, and it has helped keeping his feet warm. My son has wide feet, so for him it's very comfortable and runs true to size. I purchased a leather foam cleaner for when the boot gets very muddy and it works wonders. It disguises the natural leather discoloration, and it helps the boot look brand new. March 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Work Boot I wear these boots to work. My job has me walking and on my feet all day long. These boots can truck it through rain and muck, no problem. They are very supportive, I don't have to buy extra inserts for comfort. Best work boot and walking boot. March 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by good hiking boots I like the boots they are both comfortable and functional. March 11, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by ordinary it's litter narrow;small then size March 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot Great look, solid fit and very comfortable! March 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Boots In Every Respect These boots were comfortable right out of the box and then got better. Definitely they have the look of quality. They work for me casual or dress. March 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hiking boot My original pair of these were purchased from a local sporting goods store. I had tried on over a dozen different shoes and even though these were not the lowest priced shoes, they were the most comfortable to me. I've been wearing my original pair for almost a year. I originally wore them daily to work to "break them in" before I went hiking. I've hiked many miles in them since and love them, so much that I came to the columbia.com website and ordered two more pairs. March 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent Love the Boots ! Look good and fit good. Wife approved ! March 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots! These are great. Bought it for the winter and possibly summer too. March 1, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor shoe lace hole placement The poor shoe lace hole placement leads to inadequate boot grip around the ankle area. It has tacky shoe lace latches instead of holes. I think this was an ill conceived design choice. March 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Weekender Very nice boots! Fits well and is very comfortable, March 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by HAPPY My husband love these shoes and they feel good on his feet February 28, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by tight Way too narrow. Very tight and I have normal size 10 1/2 but these boots were very narrow. And the wides are more expensive. Get the Timberlands they are about the same but wider. February 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by A decent boot Solid boot but the location of the eyelets make it a little annoying to tie the laces. The boot is def waterproof and very warm and has a good tread on the bottom. The break in period is taking awhile, it's been two weeks the they still seem very stiff, hopefully they will soften up soon. Overall it's a good boot, not the best and def not the worst. February 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hubby loves them My husband loved these boots from the moment he put them on. He normally wears a size 10, but having previously purchased a pair of columbias that were a 10.5, that's what I ordered for him. February 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good, but... Warm, waterproof and comfortable. Unfortunately, the shoelace hook on one of the boots broke within a week of receiving them. Great if you never want to really tighten your laces. Otherwise I'd try something else. February 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good product Very good product And I will recommend this to other people February 27, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very comfortable, but a little stuffy My size is 7.5. But I order 8.0 and they fit very well. The shoes are quite light and very comfortable. However, they are somewhat stuffy. Maybe because they are water resistant. February 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable This shoe is very comfortable from the moment I took them out of the box and on my feet. I then walked 6 miles and had no soreness whatsoever. I will definitely purchase another pair when I find them on sale. February 27, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth for money I bought these shoes while they were on sale, 50% off. They are really worth for my money. I have compared a few brands such as Timberland White Ledge Waterproof Boot. These shoes look better on me while the timberland looks way too big. I did some research before I bought these shoes. I went to a few stores to compare the timberland and these shoes. I called Columbia customer service and they said that these shoes are made from a very high quality cow skin, which is what I am looking for on hiking boots. Finally I made the decision to buy these shoes because they were on sale for 50% off last month. Timberland has never have sales like this (based on my experience living in the US for the past 1 year). But if you wanna buy these shoes, make sure you take 1 size bigger because they run small as compare to regular shoes size. February 26, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Little Tight These are pretty comfortable. It definitely took me a few days to loosen them up, but pretty solid so far. February 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top shelf! Shoes fit great! I purchased them for work and they do great. Comfortable and stylish. February 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for All Around Use I've had these boots for a month now. I have diabetes and need a comfortable shoe. I began wearing my expensive suede Columbia hiking boots with SmartFeet inserts all the time. I wanted a shoe that I could hike in and wear all the time so that my hiking boots didn't wear out. These boots seem very well made, fit nicely and are very comfortable. I think they would behave very well on a week's hike. I got these boots online and on sale for $50. What a great deal! I'm thinking of getting another pair if the price holds out. I recommend these boots. February 22, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Boots, especially for the price I work on a farm and purchased these for work-boots. I walk nearly a mile each way between the farm and my house everyday, so I need something comfortable to walk in and yet protective for the rest of the work day. These boots made the top of my toe a little sore where the bent as I walked, but I corrected that problem with a stick-on pad from Walmart that is designed for around the heel of a shoe - I glued it onto the top of the toe inside the boot. I suffer from plantar fascitis and so I have a particular insole that I placed in them to support my arch and cushion my heel. The sole of these is great - phenomenal traction. After a few days (probably 10-15 miles), they were starting to become very comfortable. I like the solid feel - they are a very sturdy boot. If you want something for more agile maneuverability, these might not be the best pick. The string hooks feel very well secured into the shoe - something I've had break on previous boots. Overall, I like them and would recommend them. I have only been wearing them for 2 weeks now, so I can't speak to their durability, but the soles show absolutely no wear after the miles of gravel road and pavement I 've walked on (10-15 as I said before). Rated 5 out of 5 by a good choise! The shoes are lite, comfortable and look great!! February 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great shoe This is my second pair. Very comfortable. shoes are semi-dressy so I use them as dress shoes. Waterproof works good. Shoes are not insulated so feet don't sweat indoors. Shoes are durable but soles wore out after about 2 years of wearing several times a week. February 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hiking Boot I have only had them out once due to the weather in the northeast but they are really comfortable and fit really well. They performed well in about 4 inches of snow and were shipped to my house in less than a week after ordering. Everything I have bought from Columbia is great. February 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great work Shoe This is my second pair. They are very durable. I usually trash my shoes out in about 6 months. Got over a year out of the last pair. (Finally wore through the bottoms) Was afraid the waterproofing would make my feet sweet from not enough air. No such problem. They could use a little better arch support, but otherwise a very comfortable shoe. February 19, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by You get what you pay for I got these at 50% off, which is about what there worth. Not too bad, but very soft and mushy feeling. The quality is not on par with the competition at same price. Don't feel like they will last very long. February 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoes! Especially at sale prices Bought these shoes because I was having trouble finding decieng shoes in my size. I was not dissapointed! I need hiking boots anyway for Boy Scouts with my son, so these were a good fit. Glad I bought them! February 11, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Newton Ridge Plus Good fit! Very comfortable February 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome boots I am ecstatic about these boots. I tried to get boots in the mall and all they had were the same brand and style, construction boots! I saw these on the website and hoped they would work for me....I'm very particular. They came early and work great for what I do for work. Never hurt my feet. Great product! ! February 6, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value I have only been wearing these shoes for a month but they're comfortable to walk around in, they are waterproof (at the least the lower half is.), and they fit well. It's too early to say how durable the sole is. December 18, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Newton Ridge I had an earlier model of this boot and was very pleased, however this boot does not have the same support level to avoid myself from having sore feet at the end of the day to the point I can barely walk. September 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hiking Boots! I only have about 8 miles in the last week on these boots but I am impressed so far. They are perfect for my needs: a few miles hiking with the family and a baby on my back. They feel like I've been wearing them for years; no blisters or rubbing. Just comfort. They are light and have plenty of cushioning. Had ford about 3 inches of water in a creek today and they held out the water as advertised. These are great boots for the price! August 31, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broken a shoe lace tab after 2 weeks I don't really want to spend 90 dollars on a pair of boots, just to have one of t he shoe lace tabs completely snap off less then a month later. Use some decent metal in you shoe lace tabs if you're going to charge that much for boots please. August 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best all around boot! I wear these as a daily boot. I couldn't be more happy with them! I am an avid outdoorsman and found these boots to fit my needs exactly. They are waterproof, durable, comfortable, and look good with jeans... What more do you need? Construciton is great, infact it is so good; I am ordering them in black! March 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product and great price These not only look great but feel great on my feet. Great looking, water proof and light on weight. What more could a person want. Try them you will not be disappointed. February 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot Normally I wouldn't write a review on a boot until It had been full y worn. This boot however had a good feel to it the moment I put it on and only got more comfortable as time went on. It is light weight, durable and true to size. I would definitely recommend this boot! February 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by comfortable fit the product arrived as scheduled. a very good comfortable fit for its intended use. January 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A 1.8 lb set of lifesavers Having found myself temporarily stranded 11 miles from home late at night and with my cash and debit card still in the possession of a somewhat irritated and highly verbally opinionated girlfriend not at all happy with something or other I had said or not done (I'm not really sure as I wasn't paying that much attention) I started hoofing it in my new Men's Newton Ridge Plus hiking boots. I say "new" as I had worn my new boots only once before for much less of an 11 mile hike. The boots performed so well, supported my arches and ankles, and didn't bind, chafe or cause me to blister. That was quite the hike on mostly paved surfaces but I was happy and impressed with only a sore back and happy feet willing to encourage me to pay attention to what my girlfriend says from now on. I feel I should order another pair of this exceptional shoe as my willingness to listen and pay attention often misses the mark. The shoes, however, I like and am so happy to have had them on my long hike home. Well done, Columbia! January 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot for the money The newton Ridge has quickly become my favorite all around "go too boot" among my many hiking boots. The right height, a good fit and good feel and workmanship. January 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by So Far So Good Got these for Hubby who is a mail carrier. He needs durable and waterproof and so far so good. He's hard on shoes so will update my review if they don't hold up as well as anticipated January 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot! Light weight and well made. Good fit and great traction. I call it the perfect marriage of a tennis shoe like sole to a boot. December 26, 2013
