Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Comfortable Although very comfortable, they run small compared to most brands. I wish I would have got a half size bigger. On a good note, they have good arch support and great tread for a shoe. May 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light and Breathable Bought these for an overseas trip where I knew I'd be doing lots of walking and these shoes were light, comfortable, and very breathable. May 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by GOOD DISC GOLF SHOE I tried replacing my first pair with another brand. The sizing was not the same and they didn't have the same feel. I play disc golf and score better in the North Plains Low hikers, so I just ordered a new pair for the summer. May 2, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Pebbles In Shoe Left shoe feels like there are pebbles in the shoe. Right shoe feels fine. I have owned shoes less than a year. Bought shoes for hiking and golfing. March 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Got these for my son. Fit the purpose he needs them for and what they are intended for, hiking. Comfortable well fit shoe. This is his second pair of Columbia hiking shoes and they hold out great. February 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hiking shoes Limited when cross-country on harsh terrain, but excellent for its intended purpose; hiking!!! I liked them so much that I'm getting the higher ankle support version for tougher adventures. However, no complaints so far. December 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality shoe, great price This pair has been good to go so far. No issues. I wear them daily at work and they are comfortable throughout the day, even after many hours of walking around or standing prolong periods of time. For the price you cant beat them. July 20, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by No Arch Support Unfortunately, I had to return these shoes as soon as I received them. There is no sole rigidity under the arch. It's possible to fold them in half. For someone with plantar fasciitis like me, these shoes are unwearable. July 1, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Most Uncomfortable Hiking Shoe I've Ever Tried Maybe I got a defective pair, but the North Plains Low was the most uncomfortable pair of hiking shoes I've ever tried on. The footbed and sole were actually concave. All the pressure when I stepped and rolled was concentrated on the ball of my foot and at the base of my pinky toe, with no feeling of support in the middle. When I laid the shoes on a flat surface and rolled them, I could actually see that the middle of the sole didn't make any contact with the ground at all. Maybe the shoes would have evened out after being broken in, but I wasn't going to subject my feet to two to three months of discomfort to find out. For sizing, they run about a half size small. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Grip I have only used these shoes for hiking once so far. I was very impressed with the way they gripped the trail. The trail was moderate difficulty with loose dirt and gravel. I did not slip once. My only complaint is that they do run a little large. I had to tie them really tight to keep my foot from moving around too much inside the shoe. Overall though, I love them. April 5, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not what I expected Too flimsy with no support at all. I returned the item. March 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by quality shoe Only reason I didn't give it a 5, jury is still out on how long this shoe will perform August 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe I just bought my second pair of the North Plains. My first are about a year old and going strong, I bought these in case they stopped making them. The shoes are lighter then the basketball brands and are holding up better. The tread is good for on the trail or anywhere. The Columbia shoes in general are great. I bought a pair of closeout Switchback 3 years ago that have taken me through 3 Warrior Dash's, 2 Spartan Sprints and a Tough Mudder. They are ready for more! I wear a 10 1/2 normally but an 11 in these. August 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very comfortable shoes Well made comfortable shoes.....I plan on putting a lot of miles on these! March 25, 2014
